hi Mary,Thanks for such a diligent follow-up.
I think we should alert her and explain after verifying with the rental company, that ARG has concern that the total weight limit would exceed the allowed per the general rules and therefore ARG has concerns over continuing the application process. If Rebecca has the rental company/owner will provide an exemption letter on their letterhead ARG will reconsidered.
if you want I am happy to write Rebecca Roof.
thanks.

to me
Hi, Pat,Wanted to get your thoughts on this before calling anyone else on Rebecca Roof’s reference list.
I had a very good call with Rebecca. She’s looking for a friend for her current ‘dale, a 3 YO named Ashley. She also has a Chihuahua.
Her landlord does indeed allow dogs but the woman with whom I spoke said max dog poundage (total) is 90 lbs. and this would disallow another Airedale. However, the woman at the realty office didn’t have a clue who Rebecca is – it sounded like a huge management company handling lots of different houses – and she didn’t sound very confident in her info. She didn’t have Rebecca’s lease in front of her, just gave me an “in general we only allow..” comment
I can alert Rebecca to this and suggest she get something in writing from her landlord/owner, or we can just decline her, stating why, and leave it to her to come up with the idea of following up with the landlord.
It’s possible she doesn’t remember the weight limit but since she had no problem providing us with their contact info, seems like it’s possible that the info from the person on the phone may not be correct.
Thoughts?
Thx!!
Mary

She has had an Airedale when children were small, also a jack russell and wire fox. So very terrier experience. Good veterinary reference; dog well cared for and utd on vaccines, HW/flea control. Does not have a groomer but will likely call Lanier Kennels.
There are 2 feral cats that hang around their home that scatter when they take their dog out.
Next step HV and connect to Hannah to chat about Tootles.

to meHi Pat,
I had a very nice visit with Yvonne and her family last night. I think they would make a great rescue family. They have a 5 year old male Airedale named Vito who is very handsome, well trained and beautifully groomed. A rescue that is good with other dogs would be a great fit for their family.
Attached you will find the completed home visit form. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Have a wonderful weekend and let me know if I can help in any way.

Subject: Hughie KaneSo, I had the “Big Lummox” Chewy, who is now known as Hughie, at the vet’s today!! He had his physical, heartworm test, fecal test, liver test (because of the xylitol incident), and microchip registration done today! First, I have to tell you, he weighed 78 pounds!!! And we are trying to get him down to 60pounds from what we thought he weighed 67!! Hahaha! We will have his results of his bloidwork and fecal test tomorrow, so I will update you when I receive those results! Also, he was already microchipped; I just had to have him registered in my name! I will supply you with his microchip number as well when I get that information!! So, a few surprises today, but overall looking good!!
Talk again soon!

Murphy Update: I just spoke with his doctor. He is stable and doing well. They want to keep him another 24 hours to get IV meds/fluids and make sure there’s no problem eating/drinking. He feels like Murphy will make a full recovery. 🌟🌟🌟
They dont know if it’s bacterial or viral. You may want to let Samantha and Leah know to keep an eye on their dogs

Christina and Pat talked and both agreed this is necessary treatment and expense. Treatment authorized.
9:49 PM Blue Pearl called for a deposit. Pat requested he be transferred under ARG for a rescue discount; Blue Pearl will note that to day manager to address but a discount will be applied.
Deposit paid: 09/07/2021 GEORGIA VETERINARY SPECIA#9100 $2,800.00
September 8, 2021 at 1:09 am in reply to: 2021 Propane, Male-Intact, 1 yr old, To Be Adopted Hollie Schofield #280539/7/2021 9:48 text message from Christina. “Murphy is sick. He’s had a runny nose (actual snot), eyes are goopy, and he’s been vomiting since yesterday afternoon. He hasn’t eaten anything- (which I thought was due to adjusting to new food/home). Anytime he drinks water, he vomited 4-5 times. I’m going to see if our vet can see him today. He’s so pitiful. Leah said he vomited water at her house, but she thought he just drank too fast.”
Hollie took Murphy to her vet and he was diagnosed with pneumonia. Being transferred to ER vet overnight for treatment and observation.

to info@airedalerescuegroup.comDiesel and Propane are both males listed at 1 year old. I have attached the photos that I have but can get more. Also included in the email is the transport partner form that we will need before completing the transfer. After you fill it out you won’t have to fill it out again on the off chance we get more Airedale’s! Let me know if you have any questions! Thank you so much!

I also wanted to praise his walking and (non) interaction with other dogs! We came into contact with several different dogs on our morning walk, and he didn’t bark once and never pulled or even really pay much attention to them! He even met a cat who became interested in him, but he sat nicely as we spoke to her owner!❤

Now we’ll see how he does once he becomes even more comfortable with us and becomes more confident! HeeHee!!September 4, 2021 at 4:50 pm in reply to: 2021 Andreina Riera, Ft Mill, SC. E-fence, ADT Exp, 1-adt 6 yr old male, teenagers, 0-2 hrs alone – BIGGIE NOT READY YET #28032Christina Prange

to meNot surprised on the smelly, non groomed.
My guess is the family gave biggie a feast of a send off and he ate things he should not have.
i don’t know – yes, offer to pay for a vet appointment? Should i tell her that.Christina Prange

Hi Christina –We got Biggie today. He is adorable. He is adjusting well and I’m sure he is perfect for our family.
I don’t know if it matters but I would like to share with you a few things:
– I took him straight for a bath. The poor boy smelled and he really needed it.
– He also needs grooming ASAP. I think he has had only one and is a mess. I have the perfect groomer and I’ll beg her for an appointment ASAP.
– the car ride was good but he threw up in the car just when we arrived home. I knew that could happen but it came to my attention the vomit. Eve told me that he was eating Blue Puppy but the vomit had other kind of food (pork, bones, I really don’t know). He has not eating nor peeing much tonight but I guess its normal. However, I would take him to my vet ASAP too. Please do not take my observations as complains. It not my intention at all. I’m the happiest Airedale mom in the world and I’m sure he is perfect for us. I just want to let you know. BTW – he is doing great with my husband. I don’t see him afraid to dads.
Please let me know how do we settle the adoption fee.
Thanks again for all you and the rescue group did for our family.
Regards,
Andreina Riera

to me, AnnecyMy husband and I talked and decided to wait until he moves back down here to South Carolina (he took a job in Indiana in April) before we get a second dog. I work 4 days a week and realize a rescue dog will need more time with me than I can give right now by myself. I so wish I had the luxury of working from home, but I don’t. Hunter needs an owner who can devote their full attention to him so he can be the best dog he can be. Thank you for offering him to me and all the work you’ve done. I know you want to place him soon so he can settle into his happy home. Please keep me on file as we will be more ready for a dog next spring or summer (or hopefully sooner if he gets a job transfer back here sooner). Thank you again for everything you do for this rescue group.

He is house trained and has had no accidents. We were advised to crate him (probably needs more training). He does like to grab things on the floor (socks, shoes, magazines) and play chase but if nothing on the floor he is good. We bought him a couple of chew toys and that seems to help.
I take him on walks with my friend and her dog and he has no issues. We have met with other dogs on walks and his tail is wagging and happy to greet them.
Yes we will be happy to meet and greet with a possible adopter.
