        Hi ladies!

I wanted to loop everyone in on the most recent update for our Golden Girls.

As you may know, Dorothy and Sophia had microchips. I called Home Again since they distributed both chips, and some information came back for Sophia’s. We tracked the chip to Crossroads Animal Hospital in Lexington, SC. They were able to tell me that they were originally owned by a breeder, and none of them are spayed. I know we had 2 ladies that were questionable so I’m glad we have confirmation. They had all 4 girls on file and will send over their records once the doctor approves them.

        Sophia (aka Martina) is 9 y/o – Confirmed by M/C #
        Dorothy (aka Thomasina) is 4 y/o – Confirmed by M/C #
Blanche and Rose are 2 y/o and from the same litter – no microchips.

Dorothy, Rose, and Blanche all received heartworm tests today as well as the first boosters of Canine Influenza and Leptospirosis. They will need to be boosted in 3 weeks. If they are with us, we will be sure to take care of it. If not, it will be included in their records for their foster family. Results for the heartworm test will be in tomorrow at the earliest. We also microchipped Rose and Blanche so we will be sure that information is in the records as well as sending home the chip information.

I think that is all of my updates for now but I will continue to keep everyone in the loop!

                      5/13/26 from Jessie

                      Good morning,
After taking a few weeks to really think everything through carefully, I do believe it is ultimately in Izzy’s best interest to find a home that can better fit her long-term needs and lifestyle.

This was not an easy decision for me at all, and I wanted to be fully certain before reaching back out. I care about her deeply and only want what is truly best for her, even if that is difficult emotionally.

While I of course would love for Izzy to end up in a very financially stable, comfortable home, I honestly think what matters most for her is something much simpler — a loving, committed family that has time to play with her, give her attention and affection, and let her enjoy a backyard. She really is a simple girl at heart and thrives most when she feels safe, loved, and included.

I really appreciate all of ARG’s support, patience, and understanding throughout this process. Please let me know what the next steps would be moving forward.

                      Thank you again,
                      Jessie Urbania

Owned by an elderly lady. And I mean, elderly. Her husband was one of the last holocaust survivors when he passed away.
She just couldn’t control the dogs. This has been an ongoing situation for the last several years. She decided to surrender them this time instead of fighting us in court.
She took good care of them, she just couldn’t control them.
