Hey Pat! Good news. We unexpected landed ourselves a puppy from a small farm in Illinois. She’s 12 weeks old and has been here for two days. Regarding our visit, I’d still like to be on the Airedale rescue list in the future. If it still makes sense to keep our appointment, great. If you think it may be moot then we can always move forward again in the future but I just wanted to let you know. Her name is Ginger and she’s been unbelievably sweet and behaved. She’s a dream pup. Anyway, just wanted to keep you posted!jesse

Well, here is my quick evaluation. He is a gentle giant. Very thin, afraid and cowers if I try to force direction. BUT he will come when asked along with a gentle pull. His first response is to run. But my neighbor walked in and walked over slowly and he didn’t run or flinch. I put a trainer harness on him because he can pull off the collar.
I’m very upset with these young Buckhead families that can’t stick with a scared dog long enough to find out how great it will be.
He leans against me outside and lie under me inside. I can’t understand what went wrong.
Anyway, let’s get him to Wendy ASAP before he gets attached to me and I get divorced.Wendy is picking up in a little while.

to me, Jackie
Ladies,
Just an update on Judi Alvarez.I have attempted to call Judi several times, voicemail is not working. Yesterday I emailed her.
Spw vet about Pyreness only seen 1 visit on 9/21/16 for a fluid pocket in elbow, no record of vaccines.
After another call to vet I asked about any other animals. They had a Maxi on file from 2017 who is deceased and was seen yearly from 2017.I don’t know how much you want me to track her down. If you are ok with me just leaving at the email and she can contact us. The vet record isn’t up to par in my opinion so I’ll wait for her.
If you disagree, please let me know. If you agree, no need to send me an email. You both have a lot of more important things going on.
Thank you

to Jackie, infoHello I just filled out the form to start the process for finding my mom’s dog a new home. His name is Chauncey. We are not in a rush—she is in hospice care and still finds joy in him. Attached is a photo. I am hoping to get him groomed for better photos but I thought I’d send this one along in case you find someone sooner than later.
I also took him to the vet today and had his records faxed over. Let me know what else I might need to do.October 19, 2020 at 4:08 pm in reply to: LaTasha & Jeremy Dixon, Columbia, SC, Not ADT exp., Chihuahua, 3 kids 2-13, 0 hr #25997Julie

to me, Jackie, BarbaraNice woman, says she can handle an Airedale, nothing fazed her…dirty terrier, long beard, messy home, dogs that jump fences etc. I sometimes paint an ‘it’s hard to live with an Airedale’ picture. Especially to people who never had one, met one, or hung out with one.
She has a 2-year-old child and a chihuahua. I would never place a rescue in a home-like this.
Has a local vet that sends out a van for shots. Chihuahua is on Heartworm meds. etc. Fenced in yard, she is home all the time.
Maybe deserves a home visit but again, with 2 little beings…I’m not sure if it’s a good match. But you ladies are the experts.
Left it as: we would do a home visit if we found a spare Dale that is good with little.
Thanks

to me, Kelly, Barbara, JackieHi, I spw this woman this morning.
She’s never owned a dog let alone a terrier. Her husband who is in Germany (military family) will be home in a few months. AND she has a 6-month-old.
She mentioned she would like the dog crate trained for when they move again and have to fly.
She knows there is a vet and groomer down the road. She looked into Pet license and needs a rabies certificate. Apparently, someone emailed her.
I told her I would submit her application to the Application review committee but I didn’t have high hopes that she would be selected due to her lack of dog experience.
I explained the breed and painted a clear picture and that we only have Airedales that need work. I’m not quite sure she’s in a good situation for that type of commitment.
So I would deny her. Sweet young 21 yo but an Airedale is not a good option at this stage in her life.
