to darklots0211@gmail.com, infoHumberto,
Airedale Rescue Group would like to thank you both for your interest in and love of Airedales.
After reviewing your application and your preferences, we have come to the unfortunate conclusion that we don’t have any Airedales that would be a good fit for you. As you are most likely aware, Airedales and most dogs for that matter, come to the rescue because of troublesome issues. These issues are exacerbated through the surrender and re-homing/adoption process. The Airedales coming into rescue are not candidates for becoming hunting dogs and all Airedale adopted from our group must be inside dogs. Our goal at ARG is to find the best, most nurturing, and permanent home for our Airedales.
We wish you well in your search for an addition to your family. We are just unable to help.

Most Grateful,
Pat Hairston

to meHumberto Marin Nice guy but no Airedale experience, started hunting 2 years ago and would like a hunting buddy.
No fence bc of expense, Spartacus was a Bull Terrier he had for about 13 years. No fence, had a dog house he stayed in. In winter there was hay in it. Summer he stayed under a car port and screened in patio.
Mom has asthma taking daily meds. However at one point he had a maltese. (I forgot to ask what happened to it). He also said he is looking for a hunting dog and he mentioned his other choice of dog is a Vietnamese Ridgeback (Phu Quoc).VET: Through texting stated they didn’t have anything under the name Marin.
I will follow up if you think he would be a good candidate. I didn’t think it would be a good match.

to me, ChristinaSeemed like a nice woman but I have physical concerns. She is moving into a trailer, on a lake in January and will not be able to put up a fence – probably won’t be approved by HOA. Currently renovating, putting in new flooring, painting etc. She is having back surgery on 1/5/22 and will have at least a 2-3 week recovery. Is not in a hurry….
She’s had dogs her whole life. Last dog was a Pit inherited to her bc her son became a paraplegic. Good dog, shed a lot. Doesn’t want shedding nor ‘crazy behavior’ in her next dog. Sister has Airedale and she liked the breed said the dog was very smart. Has had German Shepherd, wolf mixes, Jack Russells, Labordoodle and the pit.
Will ‘send dog to training’ after she has the animal for some time to see what any issues are and for them to bond. I asked her to send me the trainer name and company. Apparently the dog goes to a training facility without the owner for 3-4 days and then they invite the owner to train along the dog.
Daughter will take dog if she has to have any type of surgery or is incapaticapted. Thought if she died we would take the dog back.
Walks 3 miles a day around the lake track that her and her lady friends put in. Didn’t need HoA approval for that. Will be moving to 25 Coveside Circle in Elloree SC in January. She said she would contact me if she found a dog in the meantime. So she’s looking.
The vet and I played phone tag a few times and he still hasn’t call me back after the last call.
I’m not keen on her anyway. If you want me to continue to follow up with the vet, just let me know.
1/18/2022: Asked about Captain. They have their daughter’s family living with them until their house is done. Not good timing. If Captain is still available in a few weeks then could be a yes.
We need to place him before that.

Mary,
I was just looking at the website. I did not realize the adoption fee was $400. I must have misread the fee on the other website. I am very sorry that I have wasted your time, but we can’t afford that right now. I just wanted to let you know. Maybe later on we may be able to afford the adoption fee. Thank you so much for your time. Hope you have a great week!
Thank you,

to AiredaleGood morning,
Were you going to email the agreement to me? Just wanted to check since I haven’t received it yet.
Luke is doing great. He is a bed hog 😂 and is still getting along well with my two dogs. He shows no interest in my cats but they do run when he comes in as they do with my other dogs. He shows no food aggression with my other two and they nap on the porch together after playing in the yard. On our leash walk he does not pay attention to the other dogs barking from their yards. He met my neighbor yesterday and barked at him with tail wagging and greeted him with no problems when he approached us. He will not go past my driveway on the return from the end of my road, he sees my two in the yard and wants to come back in to play with them. He does do pretty good on the leash, I think it just requires walking him everyday to keep him used to it.
He is a real joy to have around. Hopefully he will continue his great behavior. I see no reason why he wouldn’t. Will keep you posted on how things go. 😊
Thank you,

My neighbor, Roger Thompson, in Hendersonville, NC, adopted an Airedale a couple of years ago.
Roger’s Parkinsons has progressed and can no longer take care of Captain.
Captain is about 9 years old, male, sweet and easy going and in good health. A little on the heavy side at 87 pounds, but a good dog. He’s been a good companion for Roger.
I’m hoping you can locate a foster or new forever home for him. He is being boarded now while Roger is in rehab after a fall.
Please let me know what additional information you will need. I’m happy to transport him to wherever. We picked him up in Winston-Salem.
Thank you for your assistance.

to Markel, Airedale, bcc: Christina, bcc: Jackie, bcc: MaryMarkel,
Our team has talked and we will consider an adoption of a neutered or spayed Airedale to your family.
Luda is pending adoption, so she is not available.
As dogs become available, someone from our team will reach out when we have a fit for your home.
Sincerely,

Good evening I hope that you had a great New year’s I am sorry to hear that you took me off your list of candidates, I really reget not adopting Luda I struggled with the decision and I wish that she was still available because I have a change of heart and I would love to bring her into our Home I don’t necessarily want to breed dogs but I thought it would be a good idea for my grandbabies to raise such a awesome Fog and keep that breed thriving ,I’m sorry if I have you the wrong impression but know what your organization does for dogs and that is wonderful so if you can find it in the kindness of your 💓 to put me back on the list I would be greatful and if Luda is still available I would like to adopt her 😊 thank you for your time and effortJanuary 5, 2022 at 8:02 pm in reply to: 2021 George and Beth Childress, Marietta GA, Good Fence (wood with e-fence), ADT Exp, 0-3 hrs alone_adopted 2022 Luda now Georgia #283791/4/2022

to me, Christina, KellyHi all,
I conducted the home visit today and need to let you know that the Childress’s need to move to the top of the preferred adoption list. They are very experienced Airedale parents that have provided a very safe and comfortable environment for Airedales. Their existing Airedale is friendly and calm, energetic and playful, a little stubborn but obedient. Both George and Beth have personalities preferred for parents of an Airedale. It’s not clear to me who trained who, but it’s a well balanced dog-owner relationship.😜
I found their home, remarks and representations to be favorable and consistent with their application. I found noting objectionable during my visit and would have no objection leaving my girl, Jazzy, in their care.
If you need additional information or clarification, don’t hesitate to contact me.
