          From Pat to Connie
          Hi Connie,

Thanks for a great update on Ariel and for all of the info you have provided plus the training and vet care. We deeply appreciate all you, Erick and Arlo have given this girl.

We have a few possible candidates for her. A family in GA have has 2 children, 3 and 5 yrs old and have 2 male dogs, one is a Welsh terrier the other an Airedale. The yard is fully fenced.

The other is an adult home with seniors who do not have a fenced yard but are committed to walking. They also have ADT experience but do not have another dog. They are in NC.

The 3rd possibility is a couple in GA with a 2 yr old male Airedale. They have a fenced yard and adopted this boy from ARG. I think they both work from home.

Does Ariel need an another dog?
Would she be good with a Welsh terrier?
Would she be good with 2 young children?
Does she need a fenced yard?

Christina and Jo-Anne may have some other thoughts.

And lastly, can you send me vet records so we will have those to redact and share when she is placed. And can ARG reimburse you.

          Thanks much!

            6/17/25 Quick Ariel update
We had Ariel spayed last Monday, on June 9th. We elected laser surgery vs traditional spaying/neutering for both Ariel and Arlo for quicker recovery. Ariel is feeling much better this week. This is the first week that she and Arlo have been able to share living room space without being on a leash. Ariel is definitely the alpha female and Arlo is submissive and just wants to play. Ariel lets Arlo know when she has had enough. Arlo is still a young guy with lots of energy.
Today, I took her to Rural King for the first time to see how she would be around other people/dogs in a different setting. She loved all of the attention from people; however, she was very reactive to the other two German shepherds that were in the store.
Some neighborhood kids have approached us when we are in our yard asking to pet her. Ariel was receptive to them petting her. We reminded them to move slowly as we made the introductions.
We’ve learned Ariel does not like motorcycles, the mailman, Amazon guy, or delivery vehicles. She is fine when we are taking a walk and a car/truck pass by us. She really likes her daily walks.
Ariel is not a morning eater. We tried feeding her three times a day, but she refuses to eat before noon, the little diva. lol She eats her lunch and dinner without any issues. We have been mixing a little canned food with her dry food. We separate Ariel and Arlo during feedings, but they have shared a water bowl at the same time without any issues.
As much as we would love to keep Ariel, right now, it is not possible for us to give both dogs what they need to be GREAT dogs and need to pursue a forever home for Ariel.

                to danielleburkerealtor@gmail.com, Anna, DAVE, Airedale

hello – Tomorrow is the day that we will have Loki transfer to Anna and Dave. Anna and Dave live in Knoxville area and they are former adopters of our beloved Ned Pepper. Loki will join their family with Anna, Dave, their two children and Ned Pepper. It is a bittersweet day for Danielle so we know that this is not an easy day either.

Danielle – what types of things will you be sending with Loki? Sometimes it is easier on transition if you send a famillar toy or balls or whatever he likes with him.

Vet records are transferred – no need to worry about paper docs.

Feel free to call each other today or tomorrow if you think of anything or want to ask questions about Loki.

Sunday May 25 3:00 Asheville – meet up for you all for exchange of Loki

Loki had surgery to remove a corn cob. Adopter messaged Christona and asked for a delay in paying adoption fee. Approved.

1/29. Birdie out of the front door when Valerie was in the bathroom. A neighbor saw her walking down the street but did not stop her.

1/6 she has not been seen. 2 dog psychics say she is with a tween. Flyers are placed all over the community.

                          Valerie’s heart is broken.

                                to Adam, Airedale, Chuck, Albert

                                Hello
Sunday June 1 is the big day for Zeus and Apollo! It’s a bitter sweet day for Adam so we know that tomorrow is going to be tough and we’ll be thinking of you. We appreciate you giving ARG the responsible to place Zeus and Apollo in their next home….with Bert!!!! Its also an exciting day for Bert, Apollo and Zeus!

Two ‘dales is a lot more work! Luckily we have great volunteers to help us! Adam can help Chuck with Zeus and Apollo – that should be a good transition since we Adam knows them. Then, when Chuck gets to Murphy – he will be meeting Bert! With two dogs – I recommend utilizing both drivers at each hand off to get the dogs safely into the next vehicle. They will be wearing a harness. The boys travel well. They sit together and/or lie down in the back seat together. Adam will withhold food in the morning to prevent any travel sickness.

THey will be traveling with Kennels*; Beds; Food; Bowls; Toys; Harnesses; Leashes; Leashes
*Kennels – at each transfer please ensure to move the dogs safely….then the kennels or vice versa. Whichever works best for safety!
