Hello Chasity,Thank you for reaching out . Airedale Rescue Group will of course take Winston. I need to find a foster him and will work on that quickly.
Do you know if he is good with other
dogs? Also, how was his blindness confirmed. Does he have a vaccine record? Do you know how big he is?
Thank you for reaching out to us. I had posted on a comment about him asking the person to contact us but she did not. I have never seen a freeze-branded mark.

Airedale Rescue GroupAugust 6, 2025 at 5:42 pm in reply to: 2024 Roberson Rich, Columbia SC, good fence, no pets, no ADT exp #337468/6/25 Nancy Harr completed the home visit.
“I met with Rich Roberson this morning. He is a great candidate to adopt, but he is still not quite ready to “pull the trigger.” I suspect he would need to be confronted with a specific dog’s profile to say yes.
His yard is fenced and quite large. His house is also quite large, with a sunroom that would be a great place for the dog to retreat. His neighbor two houses away is his veterinarian.
He is aware of all the challenges of Airedales, as diggers and squirrel chasers. He is also aware that young ones can be biters and destroyers.
The only impediments: he is 80 years old, recently widowed and lives alone, but has a son who would take the dog if he became infirm. He wants a young neutered male, and is not interested in a mix.
I told him my husband and I would be happy to offer advice and help, if requested.
So, my observation is that he needs an Airedale and would give it an outstanding home.”August 2, 2025 at 7:25 pm in reply to: 25-31 Ozzy nee Wrigley male found Jackson TN Going to Barbara Bonfield #33730Amanda will hold onto the dog and get him to the her vet as soon as possible. Thanks for your email. I just approved the request to join ARG.
Can you keep him safe? Do you have pets and know a veterinarian? Airedale Rescue Group can take him and take care of him. We just have to figure out logistics.
August 1, 2025 at 1:08 pm in reply to: Flash, ~2yo F/S via Cobb Co. GA Shelter; Adopted- Tara Prairie #337228/1/25 note from Tara
Good morning,
I am still processing things but wanted to let you know that Flash passed yesterday. She passed during a severe storm and I don’t know if anxiety got her? Just a few weeks ago she was given a clean bill of health to undergo dental surgery. Our house is devastated and it is just too quiet without her here.
Before I posted anything I wanted to let you know. I appreciate all of your support through our these years. I decided to have her buried in our yard so she can always chase our birds.
Best Wishes,
Tara
July 22, 2025 at 10:15 am in reply to: 25-28 Sam, Male-Intact, Atlanta GA, good with other dogs & cat, not used to children #337027/21/25
Sam is doing great! He has a 6×9 space and does not appear to have any dog aggression. He was marking at first, but that’s pretty normal with all the scents in a kennel. He is not destructive at all and he is not trying to dig.
He got a full groom today.
He is doing well with the handlers and getting individual yard time and walks.
He does not want to eat his kibble (we are feeding Victor High Energy chicken and beef), so we added wet food today and he ate that.
I have him scheduled for his neuter and vaccinations with Spay Neuter Georgia on Tuesday July 29th. He will transport to them on July 28th and come back after surgery on the 29th.
Have a great vacation!
Please let me know if I can assist with anything else. Fingers crossed for his foster!
Sincerely,
SuziJuly 22, 2025 at 10:14 am in reply to: 25-28 Sam, Male-Intact, Atlanta GA, good with other dogs & cat, not used to children #337017/22/25
The groomer said he had a severe infestation of fleas and his skin has a fungus from the flea bites. She said it was bleeding in places from the bites when she washed him. I will give him Bravecto tomorrow (it is a 3 month flea & tick preventative) to clear up the problem. He got a flea dip today. I will have the vet examine him again next week and follow up on how his skin is doing. The internal medication should clear up the skin fungus & irritation. I will also add coconut oil to his food to add vitamins and minerals to help his skin heal.
I wanted to make sure you did not already give him a flea & tick treatment when you got him. Please let me know.Best Regards,

They are ready for another. They live in Barnardsville – just outside of Asheville.
I questioned about if they are male interested – thought I know that none of the 100 lbs are good for an 80 year old man.

Subject: Looking for a new AiredaleHello, Christina. Bill Taylor here. Judy and I have been dog-less to long. We no it is unlikely we will ever find a dog that compares with Rosie, but if you find a spare ‘dale that might come close, we’d love to hear about it.
Disclosures: I am 80 today, but still mow my own 2.3 acres, walk a mile or more a day, and of sound mind (mostly). Judy is almost fully recovered from a lateral fracture of the S2 vertebra, is still in physical therapy, but will likely never be able to walk a dog again. Her balance is not good. Otherwise, she’s just fine, but I’m the dog walker. Nothing else remarkable to report. WJT

to jbkinscherf, info, Christina, Jo-AnneHello Joanne-
We are so sorry that you lost Opie, yet we’re happy that you’re considering adopting again.
Of course, you are approved.
We have a dog in Lancaster, SC, Beau who is 5 yrs old as of July 10, 2019. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and well loved. Beau is 104 pounds, good on leash, loves car rides, does well with grooming. The couple is older and the husband can no longer walk Beau. They live in a townhouse.
I am waiting on a photo and vet paperwork.
Please let me know if you would consider Beau.

He would do good with other dogs, older children but caution he likes to eat socks.
Husband can not walk him due to back issue. They live in a townhouse now and no room for Beau to run.

Hey Pat,
Just met with Heidi and she’s very good people. New fencing going in right now. Yard is enough for ADT. Neighborhood is good house is nice and lived in. Grandkids toys in the sunroom. Nice doggy door from sunroom to yard. She’s gonna crate for a while and plans on time off to help dog adjust. She’s got friends and family close to help as needed. Seems to have many years experience owning various dogs. Uses same vet as we use. Likes to walk them and she’s in good neighborhood for it. I wouldn’t be concerned about her adopting at all.
