      Hi Nancy,

Took him to the vet yesterday and they advised me that he would need to go to Auburn since that is the closest place that they do extensive veterinary orthopedic operations which is what he will need to fix his leg.

They are doing the X-ray on his leg today at my local vet while he is there getting neutered. The local vet will have more info/insight to give me once they take the X-Ray. I will keep you all updated as we find out more.

      Respectfully,

      Nicole Ciano

            Hello Tanya Bert –

This is Pat Hairston with Airedale Rescue Group. I work with Christina and Jackie. I know you are interested in a young pup but we have a 1 year old female incoming to rescue.

The owner is older and does not have the time or energy for Airedale pup antics and activity level. I am trying to get a photo of her for you.

She is 52 pounds, date of birth 11/21/2021, spayed and up to date on vaccines through January 2023. She has been on Nexgard HW preventative. I was advised by the vet that she dislikes nail trims and rolls like a “gator” so she requires trazadone prior to nail trims.

Please let me know if you are interested in adopting her within the next couple of days. If not we will move onto our waiting list and ask the next family.

            Thanks.

            Most Grateful,
            Pat Hairston, 910-200-5890

11/20/2022: sadly during transport it was determined Babe’s health was compromised. She was taken to Blue Pearl Augusta GA to be evaluated. Carole and Lenore were worth her and in touch with Christina.

The decision was made to euthanize Babe.

                    Hi Pat,

Apologies, I didn’t see your email until now. I have a bad habit of not checking my personal email in a timely manner.

Thank you for the condolences, losing Addie 3 months after losing her partner in crime, my stinker guy RJ, hit me pretty hard. I had them both of them for a very long time (RJ 15 years and Addie I had for 10 years but she was 14 years old).

We are very excited to see a pic of the cute pie Zog and hear more about him.

Please let me know what forms or information you need from me to get the adoption process going. Also, what will the cost be?

If possible would you be able to text me at (513) 560-2129? I will immediately start closely monitoring my emails as well.

Thank you again for the opportunity to give this fine young gentlemen a loving forever home! ❤️

                    Respectfully,

The most beautiful thing about being involved in ARG is experiencing the happy beginnings created when a loving family adopts an Airedale in need. Thank you to all for cooperating to get Babe to her new home, and thank you, Jamie.

I wanted to give you an update on Babe. Babe’s owner loved her dearly and thought the world of her. His life was about Babe however he has been hospitalized and won’t return home, which is why she is coming to ARG. Linda picked up Babe on Saturday afternoon from the owner’s brother. She is quite matted and dirty. Linda was going to give her a bath last night but would not have time to groom her. The worst part was that Babe was crying and upset as she left her home. Linda’s husband sat in the back seat with her and consoled her but it was heartbreaking.

Thanks to all of you for helping get Babe to Jamie.

Safety: Please ensure that you are aware of Babe when opening car doors, transferring her from person to person, always making sure a hand is on the leash. Unless necessary, remain in car with A/C until transport transfer occurs; when opening car doors, ensure that the leash is secured by hand on the leash; when allowing potty breaks – ensure that collar/leash(s) are tight for no escape; be aware of surroundings – even a plastic bag in the wind may spook a dog in unfamiliar settings. Do not let her off leash at any time 😊
Do not feel the need to walk Babe outside if you arrive early. Sitting in the car in the A/C will be fine for her. . (IF you have a water bowl, please bring it so he can take a water sip between cars to keep her hydrated). .
PLEASE USE YOUR CHILD LOCKS so that Babe cannot accidentally open a window or door! (It has happened!)!. Safe Travels!. I will be available for any questions. Let me know when you’re safely back home! Pictures are welcome but safety first! 919-605-4563

                                  Ari-

I have been here. We adopted a wire fox terrier soon after I lost my little dog, Molly. I loved him and he was all mine. He sat on my lap, snuggled me, he followed me around the house. But, he started being too possessive of me and was going after my husband’s service dog, starting fights and upsetting the house overall. Multiple times I talked with the rescue and we finally brought him to a foster home he was adopted by a lovely couple that gave him the only dog home he needed. I could not give it to him. I still love him and occasionally hear from his new mom. He is so happy it fills my heart with joy. It was gut-wrenching and I questioned myself before giving him up and for months after.

My situation was different but I do know how you are feeling. Letting Benji go to a new home is hard, I get it. Benji has so much waiting for him. An experienced Airedale home that can give him so much more than you are able to right now and for a while. That is what you have to keep first and foremost.

Let us give him that with the people that want to love him.

                                  Pat
