Expedited review as interested in Buck and did not want to move Buck to NC to have him adopted in AL.

Home review done on Zillow: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/329-Normandy-Ln-Chelsea-AL-35043/104011234_zpid/

Talked to Michael on 9/1/23 approx 10 AM. ADT experienced. Also had 2 wire fox terriers and took care of neighbors Belgian Mal & son’s pit mix. Pit mix euthanized this past Aug due to grande maul seizures. Vet reference checked; Bel Mal and pit mix cared for maintained UTD, neutered, on preventative. Responsible owners and do the right thing, would adopt to them.

Chatted with Michael explicitly about the cat that was killed and the doxie injured. He wanted to speak to his wife, Erin, and she confirmed she is ok with this prey drive. Michael knows Buck needs neuter ASAP. Also, I suggested no classes with small dogs.

Fred & Janet Broling prefer to transport Buck directly to Michael & Janet Leach. Email send exchanging numbers and info.

hi – i am feeling nicer today. This is a sad situation. Its not the dogs fault. Brownsboro is north alabama – outside of Huntsville.

Do you want me to talk to this guy and try to convince him to keep the dog until we can find her a home. I’ll see if there are other incidents where this happened or was this a one time thing.

Thoughts? I can take this one for intake but it is hard to place an 11 y/o

                  to me
                  Good Afternoon Pat,

This is Dr. McDonald. I am the veterinarian that saw Jack for his physical exam at Kennesaw Mountain Veterinary Services on 8/14/23. Our reception staff forwarded me the conversation regarding Jack’s heartworm status. As of now Proheart 12 is not labeled as an effective treatment to kill adult heartworms. I hope this clears up any confusion. If you have any additional questions please let me know.

                  Thanks,
                  Zack McDonald, DVM

ARG needs to determine how to proceed. Do not know if Boone has received monthly preventative. MUST explore slow kill method.

Browne’s not following through on training or vetting.

Boone (Jack) will be transferred to Cindy Green for rehab once fecal test is done and results confirmed.

Hi, Shelly. The transport has been postponed until next Saturday, the 26th, bc you didn’t have the fecal tests done on Jack. Our trainee Cindy cannot take him unless he is confirmed negative for parasites on fecal. Please take a sample to your vet for testing so we can move him next weekend.

                    thank you,

                              Hello Cindy,

We have to find a new location for Boone/Jack asap. He is the older male Airedale that was in boarding for months. The Browne’s practically begged us for him and Boone had issues from the beginning. A lot of his the Browne’s.

We had engaged The Gratefull Dog to work with them. I can send you notes from her work with them. seems like a lot the issues were the Browne’s not setting boundaries and doing what they were told to do.

Is there any chance you might be able to take him and work with him on the reactivity while we look for a new home.

                              Thanks for thinking about this.

From Emily ‘She did. They are not keeping him
The attack is their fault as he was not leashed

But the day before he took husband down going after that dog

He’s too big and strong for them.
He will need dog reactive work. As welll as next owner needs to know and be strong enough to control him
Fenced yard would be a plus’

This came in about 8 this am from Shelly Browne. I just can’t…

We had an incident the other day with Jack attacking a neighbor dog walking by. It is John’s reluctance to keep Jack on a leash. I’m afraid this would not be an isolated incident. It’s hard to keep him contained at all times. He will slip out and wander away.
He needs to be in a less dense area. If we had a farm he would be safer.

?? So are they getting a farm?!!
