2/14/26 I sent note to Chris and Cassie that they are approved.

      Hello Ladies

The visit with Chris & Cassie Hayes went well this week. Please see attached.

They are a lovely couple who adopted a rescue doodle about 8 months ago and are looking for a companion for Noodle. Noodle was playful and friendly and has even learned a few tricks since coming to live with them. They had many questions about the dale breed and I was happy to provide information based on my experience with Klancey

I assured them that the goal of ARG is to find “a perfect match” for their situation. They work from home and would prefer a female between 2-5 years old. I know they would provide a loving home for any of ARG rescues.

Let me know if you need me to fill in any additional information, or if I can be of assistance in the future.

2.14.2026 I called Dillworth Animal Hospital to get records for Maximus. DIllworth Animal Hosp. said that they had only seen Max once, at end of December for a matt on his paw. ALl of his other records were with another vet so i will ask Ryan this when we speak today or tomorrow. He received Bordatella from Dillworth when he was there for the matted toe/paw.

2/14/26 called left message to Ryan to talk about Maxiumus.

Ryan is a CPA. He would take him off leash at ELon College and used to walk him 7 miles a day (Ryan walked 5 miles and Max would zig zag back and forth to about 7 miles off leash). He moved to Charlotte, lives in apartment. He is a happy dog but no where for him to run. Limited schedule – walk in morning and night but not getting the exercise. Ryan thinks he needs his best life – more running around. Ryan has dander allergies and living in the one bedroom, the dander has exasperated his allergies. Stays in apartment during day – in crate. If leave out of crate, he is anxious, barks and whines, drools, claws at door to get out. He is house trained. Ryan got him as a puppy from March of 2022 when he was 8 weeks old. Singing Hills Kennel. Great with kids. He does jump until you tell him it is unacceptable. Good with other dogs. Pulls when on leash when sees other dogs. Off leash, is great with other dogs. Has been with RYan’s 10 year old niece – has known her since she was 6 years old. DId not jump on niece. Very attached to Ryan. Doggy Day care and boarding. He does hump – when he goes to new daycare. Does well with smaller dogs as his mom has a Frenchie. Max plays to the dog’s style and size.

Ryan is 90% sure about giving him up. He said he will need a day to think about it when the time comes, when a family is found but he think he will do it. I told him the hard part was done – submitting the form and he said yes, it was not a good Friday night for him when he completed the form.

Milo and Mitch, two pit bulls in house, a lot of in house dog fighting per veterinarian. we see them for a lot of injuries. Vet did not know that Sheba was not alive – but his email indicated that she was per my interpretation. Sent follow up to Michael to clarify but this does not seem like a good fit for any of our ‘dales 2/2026

2/2026 based on vet feedback, moving to do not adopt. Looked back at application and only indicated one dog when they adopted in 2022 but they had 2 which must be the two pit bulls. This will not be a fit for any of our dales.

per inquiry of dogs in the household: two older dogs now from the same litter with a different father, they are 12years old and not very active and will look after them till they go.

I will tell him at this time we do not have a fit for him.

Unfortunately since I guess about October we noticed his right eye was cloudy..Fast forward till now we have learned he is totally blind in that right eye. We have been back to the eye specialist here in the Bham area three times for the other eye. He has a genetic disorder in his left eye. He developed an ulcer in that eye and the infection had to be scraped off three different times. He did so well during the treatments and with us putting drops in the that eye…did not mind the pills since I hid them in bread.
He will eventually loose all sight in that eye as well, but for now the doc says not to come back unless we need to for pain and such.
He and his sister still run around our back yard and wrestle.

Kasper & Lola – A Bonded Pair Looking for Their Forever Home Together

Kasper and Lola are a wonderful bonded duo who must be adopted together. Their owner recently had to move and could not bring them along. These two have grown up together.

Kasper, age 2, male Airedale spent much of his early life outdoors with his siblings and had limited exposure to people, so he can be reserved at first. Once he feels safe, he enjoys playing and truly shines on walks—his absolute favorite activity. Kasper weights 50 lbs and birthdate is March 31, 2024

Lola, age 1,spayed female is a friendly, outgoing Goldendoodle (“’doodle”) who loves people and playtime. She enjoys being indoors and is crate trained and potty trained. Lola can get so excited to greet her people that she may have a small submissive pee, but this is simply part of her affectionate, eager-to-please personality. She brings confidence and joy to Kasper’s world and helps him feel secure. Lola is 43 lbs and birthdate is 2/20/25

Together, Kasper and Lola balance each other beautifully—his quiet sweetness paired with her social, loving nature. They are looking for a home that will welcome them as a pair, provide patience, structure, and affection, and give them the chance to continue growing into the happy, connected companions they are meant to be.

1/2026 Marty responded by email about a ‘dale, age 2, named Adele who was looking for a home. I spoke to Marty and she will go pick up Adele in W-S on Friday, January 23. Snow/ice is expected over weekend so picking up Friday is better. She has crates to separate. Her male ‘dale is a Hoover and they have to be so careful with socks, anything on floor. They do not have dog toys so there will not be risk of fighting over dog toys. Marty said they would walk the dogs together a lot. (Could change with expected ice!).

I am sorry it has taken so long for me to respond. I saw this email early this morning just before I ran out the door for the day, and did not have time to respond.

Unfortunately, we are going to put our application for a new pup on hold for a while. My daughter is having a major surgery which requires a 6 week recovery. My husband and I are going to alternate with other family members to care for her. She lives in Washington, DC, so there will be a lot of road trips over the next few months. I do not think this would be the right time to introduce a new pup into the family.

I saw her picture and she is beautiful. I wish this could have worked out.

Thank you for thinking of us.

Hello Matthew and Holly, Susan and Jim,
I am a Airedale Rescue Group volunteer. I volunteer with Ava. I wanted to intro the Phillips and Burfords for the next step in our application process of a home visit

Please communicate with eachother for a time that y’all can meet for home visit. We ask that all family members be home for the home visit.

I realize that home visits typically take place on weekends and this weekend seems questionable for weather conditions. Please use judgement on when this occurs
