to Jackie, Christina, meVET: Casey, at vet, knew the name immediately. she said give him what ever dog he wants. Lizzy – died of kidney failure, She was on Trifexis, did yearly labs, on RX food. She said his parents also come in to pick up treats and they watch the dog if Ryan has to go away.
Spw delightful Ryan, he’s a lawyer, his fiance is in SanDiego right now and they are getting married and then honeymoon. So they are looking mid July, I think he said they are getting back from Honeymoon 7/11.
Lizzy was his first dog. He adopted her from a family that had a illness. Lizzy was trained by a trainer at their facility and he went once a week to build a relationship. He said he will use the same trainer, but I should have confirmed if that meant the same way of training. Lizzy had a kidney issue and was on special diet and treats.
He walked Lizzy in morning, Frankie (fiance) walked her during the day bc she is usually working from home, they all walked in the evening. They have a dog park close by and went a few times a month. They live in a townhouse. Sounds like Lizzy had plenty of exercise.Definitely recommend home visit and working with his wedding/hm schedule.
thanks Ladies

CC:, Hi Ryan and Frankie,
Thank you for submitting an adoption application for a SOAR rescue Airedale. Have you also contacted your local SC Airedale rescue organization – ARG – Airedale Rescue Group? They can assist you on the approval process and make you aware of any dogs they have available. I have copied their local SC state coordinator on this email. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me any time.
Again, thank you for applying and good luck with your search.

to wnorowski.liam@gmail.com, infoGood morning, Liam, thank you for your application to adopt an Airedale Terrier. After reading your application, we have determined that an Airedale Terrier is not a good fit for your living situation. You will rely on your grandmother to care for the Airedale when you are not home, yet she is caring for children ages 5 to 17 (you do not mention how many children). You also have two other dogs that need care. Finding an Airedale that would adjust to this situation would be very difficult.
It is quite common that Airedales that come into Rescue have had issues dealing with children and/or other dogs. Certainly, there are Airedales that could adjust to a situation like yours, but that would be extremely rare. We would not take a chance on an adoption failure.
Thank you for considering a rescued Airedale and we wish you the best in your search for another dog companion

to Jackie, Christina, meJust off the phone with Bill and Judy Taylor. I asked them if anything had changed about their home, in case there might be a need for another home visit but they said no changes. I did tell them I wasn’t sure if one would be required or not so if you feel we should revisit, it won’t be awkward.
I
Similar to when they adopted Olive, they want a smaller dog. They prefer to stay under 60 lbs, although 65 would be okay. They’ve had females before but either male or female would be okay – it’s just that the males are often bigger, Bill said. They did help with transport for a 1-1/2 YO male in the past and that was the only real experience they had with a male. They would like a family-oriented dog, not aloof, and is comfortable meeting other dogs since there are many dogs in the neighborhood. They only lost Olive on March 12 so it’s recent but if the right dog comes along that would be a match, and there is no one else waiting for ‘that’ dog, they are happy to welcome sooner vs. later. They just know it’s first come, first serve for the right match so wanted to get their names on the list. A dog similar in personality to Olive would be great – she was ‘perfect.’
They told me their daughter has 3 dogs and a cat but since they live a few hours away, they don’t normally bring them with them when they visit, although it would still be a good idea for the dog to not be territorial so that if they do bring one or another of the dogs, there isn’t an issue.
Wasn’t sure how to enter this properly in the ARG intranet so sending via email.

to airedalemail@comcast.net, kevnkell@hotmail.com, julee0613@gmail.com, alwaysairedales@gmail.com, meHi- I wanted to add some commentary to the Andrews. They have adopted from ARG at least 2X – beginning in 2007. They are return adopters. They should be approved and no home visit required. Kel – just get an idea of what age/sex, etc of dog they are looking for. We first adopted to Roger, then he and Jenny became married. Unless you hear a red flag, they should be ok – just checking in on them.
Jenny called me yesterday and i was a bit cold at first to her because she sounded like she was ‘fishing’ for an Airedale but i think it was just a cultural difference in how she was expressing herself.

Subject: For Kelly: Andrews Adoption Application Form submitted on Airedale Rescue GroupHi, Kelly. The apps are coming in fast and furious. Can you take this one? They have called Pat Hairston but she has not had an opportunity to call them. So when you call them (or email as introduction), please mention that you are calling on her (and ARG’s) behalf.
Thank you!!

to me, ChristinaHi Ladies,
I called this guy 3/31, 4/1, 4/6 @ 5:30pm and he called me on 4/1 saying he could only speak after work. I send him a text on 4/6 and haven’t
received a response. So I guess he’s not interested. I don’t like chasing people down – they need to want to talk to me and get an Airedale. If you want me to continue to contact him, let me know. Also his vet reference was very so-so. See below.
Had a lab for 10 years.
VET: Best Friend Animal Hospital 3/20 ear issue and recheck, 4/20 put to sleep , no record of testing – GI or Liver issue
New Baltimore Animal Clinic seen 9/2014 for exam and vax. (this information was from Best Friend Animal Hospital listed on the app)
Maybe there’s a vet in between 2014 and 2020 but who knows.Pat, we have an OIB vacation scheduled from Friday 5/6 to Friday 5/13. Let me know if we can have a romp in your backyard with your babies. If not we’ll be back down October 10/6 – 10/14.
Thanks

ARG is approving your application based on your experience and referral from Lin.
I did send info on Daisy.
If she is not there right fit, there will be another. Seems like ARG is contacted often for surrenders or dogs in shelters. We will
keep you on our list.Pat
Spring 2021:” Terry and Dennis adopted Duke but he was too high energy for them. Duke was rehomed to the Hottat’s and renamed Gus. Gus was then rehomed to Daffney Shelbourne.
Fall 2021: Terry and Dennis fostered Jasper but he was too interested in their cat.
April 2022: Terry and Dennis planned to adopt Opie, but Opie is also too interested in their cat and almost “got him”. Opie is going to Joanne and Ken Kinscherf
