There are two numbers, my cell # 828-443-8150, Sally’s is 828-443-8153.
I’m still working (Sally is retired), so evenings would be better for us… We’d love to hear from her and to get to know her and learn about Dusty…
We both text and she’s certainly welcome to contact us either phone or text…
Thank you, we appreciate your trust and confidence in us by allowing us to adopt Dusty into our family. We will of course follow all guidelines in the adoption process…
One thing I would like to ask. When the time comes for the transferring to happen, we would be willing to travel an extended amount to cut down on the number of “strangers” she would be exposed to as strangers moved her from vehicle to vehicle. I saw in Shia the fear/anxiety she was experiencing. Having separation anxiety from her family, having strangers taking charge, we would like to keep that anxiety to as little as possible. We of course realize that this is all a part of the adoption process, but the less the better. Then too the more time for us with direct contact in the car, calming her and letting her sense she is safe may help as we introduce her to her new home.

Hey Pat and Christina,
After yesterday exposure to Shia, when I got home I talked with Sally and, to make a long story short, we would like to be considered as a candidate to adopt Duchess, if that has not already been decided.
We no longer have our two boys, Jed and Ben. Hard as it was we had to put Ben down in November of ‘24 and Jed in June of ‘25.
We’ve had animals, dogs cats, rabbits, even an Iguana (Sally taught middle science and a parent “gifted” her with “Igy” the Iguana) our entire marriage and over the past thirty five years, Airedales. We wanted to have time to adjust and see what it would be like without the responsibilities that come with having pets. We talked and we’re both in agreement that we miss the love and companionship (and antics) of the breed and would like to be considered as adopters for Duchess.
We know she won’t be available until mid May. We just wanted to let y’all know she’s got a home waiting if you think she’d be a good fit here. There are no other pets/critters so she’d be the “ Queen of the roost”…
Respectfully,

April 9, 2026 at 10:20 pm in reply to: 26-16 Reese, Bethlehem GA, medical foster- surrendered. Ormands’s adopting #35127Lex Taite fostered Reese until the end of February (3 months) when she was transferred to August Ormond, approved adopter, for another month of fostering. At the end of March, Christina Prange contacted the owner and the agreed to surrender as she was in/out of the hospital and had no way to take care of Reese.
This is very sad but Reese has a great home.

to deborahaviswall@gmail.com, mehi Deb – I feel like we have known each other for a long time, I am a volunteer with Airedale Rescue. Thank you for helping the Reese situation on Saturday. I wanted to let you know that I’ve texted to the owner about Saturday pick up.
The plan would be for you to pick up Reese in Bethlehem on Saturday. What time is best for you for pick up?
You would drive to Anderson to meet Dale. Dale is an ARG adopter who lives in Greenville/Spartanburg area. Dale will meet you in Anderson to drive Reese to her temporary home in Charlotte with Lexi. They’re meeting in Spartanburg.
Thank you for helping on Saturday – hopefully more details soon but let me know your time you’d like to pick up.

to me, jessicabinkley@ymail.comHi Pat,
Thank you for drawing this up and sending it over.
Can you confirm if I am considered a representative of ARG? If not, can you please add a clause that both the owner and ARG indemnify and hold me harmless from and against all claims, actions, suits, damages, liabilities, losses, settlements, judges, costs and expenses for any unforeseeable event that may be considered rare, adverse, force majeure or otherwise not listed here.
As a precaution, can I also have a backup medical contact for Reese should anything happen that I’d need to consult on and get a decision on?
Thank you,

Jess and Lex,I drafted an agreement that I believe will cover all parties involved in the fostering of Reese.
Jess, I will ask Deborah Wall if she can take Resse before your hospitalization date, until Lex can take her.
I will personally cover the dog food for you during the foster period.

to meHi, thank you so much for your support.
Her name is Teddy Reese Roosevelt- call name Reese.
She is 3 years old on December 18th.
Up-to-date on vaccines she is unaltered. She just completed a heat cycle in October. She is crate, trained, and potty trained, and know some basic commands. She’s not a fan of walking on a leash. She’s used to having a fenced yard and being able to run off leash. She loves other dogs, large and small. She’s never been around a cat so I’m not sure how she would be. She is afraid of fireworks and gunshot sounds. She’s an easy keeper, but I’m going through treatments and I’m struggling really bad and my dad broke his back last week and I’m trying to do as much as I can to help him and right now. I’m just drowning I’m hoping to find someone to foster her which I know is asking a lot. I just don’t want to surrender herPat Hairston

to ARGI need to enter my summaries. Mainly waiting to connect with references at this point and one vet practice.
,Jethro is so very much. Super sweet and very smart. But I had forgotten about the energy level in a young dale. He has limitless energy. His first heartworm injection is 4/20. Leading up to that, we are working to keep his activity level low, as suggested by the vet. . He actually boarded this weekend as I had an out-of-town commitment, and my son can manage Jo (he’s renamed her Jolene) and Jethro together.

to Jaye, me, mirandacevallos3, Christina, StephanieGood morning,
We rescued a dog this past weekend and will likely now not be looking for another dog for the time being. If a home visit is valid for several years I am happy to coordinate, but do not want to potentially waste your time if we are no longer actively looking. Thank you!
