Hey Pat,
Just met with Heidi and she’s very good people. New fencing going in right now. Yard is enough for ADT. Neighborhood is good house is nice and lived in. Grandkids toys in the sunroom. Nice doggy door from sunroom to yard. She’s gonna crate for a while and plans on time off to help dog adjust. She’s got friends and family close to help as needed. Seems to have many years experience owning various dogs. Uses same vet as we use. Likes to walk them and she’s in good neighborhood for it. I wouldn’t be concerned about her adopting at all.

Pat with Airedale Rescue Group. I did hear from Nancy and although I don’t have her report, you are approved for adopting an Airedale! Please read over the info below and let me know if you want to chat. I am available later today, 910-200-5890.
We have Mollie available. The family fostering has already asked to adopt Millie. Mollie and another female Airedale were running at large in a 600 home development for 3-4 weeks. The people who worked to get both dog initially thought there was only 1. After one was trapper (by a professional trapper), the trapper got an alert on cameras about the other dog. They trapper her on 6/30. She was initially vetted and checked for a microchip. Posts and search for an owner have already occurred. One of the rescuers posted on ARG page and that is how we got involved.
Mollie has had initial vet work, is antigen negative for heartworm but does have microfilaria (larve of heartworm). She is on do doxycycline and heartworm preventative.
Although initially timid, she is doing really well in the foster home. She is a small Airedale at just under 40 pounds but likely underweight. She will be vetted again on Monday and likely be microchipped. She will have to be spayed.
She is in a home with 3 other dogs (the family is adopting the other female found), a 3 yr old and 5 yr old child. Mollie likes to be near the families 9 yr old Airedale, so a home with another dog would be good for her.

Or we have Chief. We have a 1-year-old male Airedale, named Chief, who is being surrendered. He is just too much for the family that got him when he was about 6 months old. He has rabies, and we have requested that he be taken to the vet for distemper, parvo, and bordetella. He will need to be neutered as soon as possible, be microchipped, have a fecal test, and a heartworm test, which Airedale Rescue would pay for. He sounds like a typical young Airedale that has no training and needs guidance to become the best dog he can. He lives with 4 children and 2 cats.
A photo of Chief is attached. Would you be interested in adopting him? It would initially be a foster-to-adopt until his vetting is complete.
The owner writes “Chief turned out to be mic more than my family can handle. I had not done my research when we got him. He is good with our family, but he is so big. He is a jumper and he is mouthy. Which I now understand is common in Airedale terriers. If I bring company over or he gets out of the fence, he doesn’t come back or jumps on others in my neighborhood. Scaring them to death. Other than that, he is a sweet, sweet baby and a really great protector and Family dog. He just isn’t right for our family. And I know there are other families out there that know how to train him, and he will be the absolute best dog for those people.”

I haven’t completed the home visit form yet.
Ann and Jim are a lovely couple. I am certain they would provide a loving home for an Airedale. As I’m sure you know, they have owned Airedales, have a fenced in yard, pet sitter down the street, and a Veterinary office close by. Ann mentioned she may want to also volunteer for Airedale Rescue.7/4/25 email exchange offering Chief; declined want young female.
Offer Mollie; asked for more info, provided it; declined. Want 6 month old or less.
