Just the cost of the immiticide, I do 3 injections (1 injection, then 30 days later 2 injections 24 hours apart) $20 brief exam for each of the injections, then Pain meds shouldn’t be more than $20 total). So that would be approx.. $320 …if she ends up at a foster home not in the immediate area then I might need to charge a trip charge. If you wanted bloodwork done prior to treatment then that would be $30-75 depending on what values you wanted.

If you want to purchase the whole box then the left over vial would be $60.

Stella caused 2 fights at Ann montes house. I was in DC. Allan Jernigan went to get her for me. She is less than 2 wk iout of shelter so boarding is not option, Allan took her over weekend to Ace hardware, Logan’s and phydeux. He also took her to an outside bar. She has been at his neighbors house who has 2 female golden retrievers. Allan has had some elimination problems in the house. Ann did as well. 6/2/14

              Hey Christina,

We made it home safe and sound with Lucy today! She is so sweet! Laura said you had her vet records? Could you please email them or fax them to 3362750110? Right now we really just need the ones that state she’s up to date on all her shots so we can take her to be groomed. But we would like a copy of all of them eventually to give to our vet.

When we met Lucy we noticed she had a small wound. I think Laura already emailed you about this though. It’s already scabbed over and seems to be healing but we’ll keep an eye on it!

              Thanks,

Well, our girl has found her voice…….and doesn’t hesitate to use it to voice her displeasure. When I return home from an outing she sets up a racket until I let her out of the cage. She doesn’t bark when in the yard and Reece/Victor alert to people coming to the door; she doesn’t have a sense of protective behavior – yet.

She’s definitely still in velcro mode so she’s always walking in front of me even though she doesn’t know where I’m going. Cute.

If she was ever trained to walk on leash it wasn’t on the left. We’re working on that but she’s resistant. Fortunately our usual route is where Reece can be off leash so I have only Victor and her to work with.

Stella is terrified of fireworks. Late yesterday afternoon / early evening a neighbor was having a fiesta and let loose with firecrackers and rockets. Stella dove under the deck and when I called her into the house she immediately went under the only bureau with legs high enough to give her cover. When I put her into the cage I covered it with a bedspread so she settled down quickly.

Stella is very fond of beef neck bones from Larry’s Super Market. I give her one every couple of days and she can work it like she was born to bones.

That’s about it for now. I hope you’re having a good break and that your weather has been a wonderful as it is here.

                      Nancy,

I was wondering if you might be available to foster a rescued airedale for us, or are interested in adopting one.

We have a female we were recently notified about. The main thing to know about Lucy is that she is a very big girl, over 80 pounds according to what we have been told. Apparently not overweight, but a stocky framed girl.

She is is foster care with an ARG family is Atlanta area. They say she is good with their other dogs and their children, but they know she needs to move to a more permanent home.

                      Any interest?

I can provide more details and put you in touch with the foster family if you wish.

Other than that, I hope you and yours are well and happy.

As a matter of fact, I do.

We lost our last Airedale, Jack, a few weeks ago, and suddenly our house was way too quiet.

Scott likes the big guys, so he urged me to tell the rest of the core group that we are available.

After speaking to his current owners, it was clear that he will be a handful. He was originally adopted from ARG a little over a year ago. He has grown from 75 to 95 pounds, but they say he is all muscle. They love him, but it has become clear they, especially the wife, cannot safely walk them. They are neither elderly nor frail

Long story short, he is coming here to live. First week in May.

Keep an eye on the website. We have several new “kids” coming in who aren’t posted yet. One boy has another 30 days after heartworm treatment before he is good to go. Two more males are so new to us we don’t know much about their personalities yet. I don’t think any of the others are as young as I think you want, I would have to check.

It is good to hear from you.

Full disclosure: my memory is not too bad, but benefits from a nudge now and them. I do remember you and yours but the detail of Kelly’s heart did not come to mind until I checked our internal message board. Pretty good history going back almost 10 years now.

I remember Rory was just about 4 when you first contacted us, I think.

Very glad Kelly is still doing well. Her heart murmur must be under control.

I am sure she misses her pal, but she will adjust.

We lost two in the space of two months this past summer, and Jack, the remaining one, looked for them for several days, then gradually seemed to begin to enjoy getting all the attention.

Let us know if and when we should keep an aire-eye out for a new pal for her.

I’ll ask this person if they are still interested. Sent email 5/29/14

A lot of questions based on his application but he does not appear to have any dogs so i’d like to pursue him for some of our only dog situations. I will interview.
