      Hi

      Here is their info

Their vet check reference has been done and they are wonderful.

Jackie cash interviewed them and she thought they were good too

We have a home visit check list – let me find that on my other computer and send to you.

Overall – would you feel comfortable leaving your dog there. What’s your ‘gut’. I think of the time when I went to a HV and they were first time dog adopters but they were not ready (at least for an Airedale!). Kids leaving doors open and Mom said, ‘ that just happens with kids’. You know, things that happen when you actually meet a person

      Thank you!

            Josie

I have completed an application to adopt- Deborah K Jones, Conover, NC.

My husband and I would like to know if you think that Josie would want to live with us.

Our Airedale, Martin, was 8 in March and he plays well with our neighborhood dogs and our grandpups- 2 Bichons and 1 Belgian Malinois. Martin is neutered and has a microchip. Does Josie get along with other dogs? I hate that she is having to go through treatment. We have a wonderful group of vets, a master groomer and a professional trainer to help if we adopt a rescue.

Our home phone is 828-464-4683. Thanks- Deborah Jones

She said she thinks he is an old soul. Her husband says there is a lot behind those brown eyes.

So so far so good. They have only taken a brief walk around the yard thus far; it is very hot.

Plan to take a proper walk later when it cools off.

She asked where to send a check (don’t you love that?) and I told her she would be getting a contract and instructions via email.

She knows this is the honeymoon period, but feels this is exactly where he is meant to be.

              Happy sighs here.

Hi Joann, would you be able to conduct a home visit for ARG? There is an Airedale experienced family in Conyers. Would you be able to help? Thanks so much.

We have been watching your site and realized that maybe we have to request to adopt a certain dog. We would like to have Nemo. I believe he would be a perfect fit for us. Our grandchildren are here 2 to 4 times each week and they would love him too. We want a fun dog who prefers to be inside with us.

If he is still available, we would like you to consider us to be his family.

                              Thank you,

Just fyi – Allen has taken a liking to her. He asked if he could have first dibs on her if he decided she was right for him. OF course I told him.

He is recently retired (last year) and now gone back to work as a contractor so he is trying to figure out what works for him. In the mean time, he can help out so I’m happy to make him happy. We figure out over the next month there is one week where he and I are both out of town so I am on a wait list at Dr L for boarding.

If you remember, Stella was Allen’s first ARG dale so he’s a little conflicted about calling her Stella. he’s playing around with the idea of calling her Josie so if you see that name, that is the background. Well, the real background is that he is trying to stick with a beer theme since there is a beer called Stella and there is a local Raleigh beer called Sweet Josie Brown……and he thought he could continue the beer theme. He kept calling her Sweet Girl to me in texts over weekend. Then he asked if he could call her Sweet Josie when I picked her up on Monday. He won’t/can’t call her Stella.

Dr carin came on 6/3 for HW treatment. Stella weighed 53 lbs, down 3 lbs. Dr Carin said that her ideal wt would be 50 lb.

(I tend to think she should be a little bit less than 50 lb, she is quite a barrell and i like to see them slimmer). Again, cannot feel a spay scar so she thinks not spayed – also bc her nipples are discended.

Stella (maybe called Josie now) has a bad front bottom tooth. It is broken. Nerve is exposed. Looks gross. Carin though that would be a tooth that should be extracted. Other than that, she said the vet who performs surgury may recommend others but if it were her, she would only do that one tooth.

Carin recommended that when we spay Stella/Josie, that she have the tooth extracted AND tack her stomach. Initially i had thought we could use a cheapie spay since i could take her to SNAP but considering she is older, HW and needs these other things, SNAP prob won’t work. I’ll look into the voucher with SPCA. When you use the Wake County SPCA you have access to vets in the county who particpate in their program and i may be able to get the spay and add on other services. I know my neighbor is a vet who participates in the SPCA program and i may be able to talk him into the addional services (with our payment of course). Or, discuss with Lapham about the cost and ARG discount. I’ll shop it.
