I want to make sure I’m tracking with your response.
We were interested in adopting, Blue, who I thought was described to be friendly with kids and other dogs. Let me know if this isn’t the case. Thanks!

Subject: Airedale Rescue Group – home visitHello Janine & Susan ,
Janine, I am a volunteer with Jo for Airedale Rescue Group and I help coordinate home visits. I would like to introduce you to Susan who is an ARG volunteer and Susan will help with a home visit, our last step in the application process. Susan will come to your house to meet you – it’s always nice to connect terrier people! I must admit, we have known Susan for a long time and she is a Wire Terrier owner – but she loves Airedales too!For the home visit, please determine a time that works for both of you to meet. You can exchange phone or email the details with the two of you. With the days getting longer – that’s easier to do even on a week day. Let us know the progress of when the home visit occurs. Thank you!

Subject: Gus, Saturday March 2, Marietta-Greenville-Gaffney-Charlotte-RaleighHello ARG Volunteers – THANK YOU for helping on Saturday 3/2/2024. As always, thanks for your patience as we worked out drivers, meeting locations, times, etc. I’ve noted regular safety precautions
One thing about Gus – do not feed him treats, food, kibble during his transport. He can be possessive of food and it would be best that he is not tempted during the transport to keep his food. He will be happy in the car, with company, wondering what is going on and looking forward to his next adventure.

Safety: Regular safety – please ensure that you are aware of Gus when opening car doors, transferring her from person to person, always making sure a hand is on the leash. Unless necessary, remain in car until transport transfer occurs; when opening car doors, ensure that the leash is secured by hand on the leash; when allowing potty breaks – ensure that collar/leash(s) are tight for no escape; be aware of surroundings – even a plastic bag in the wind may spook a dog in unfamiliar settings. Do not let her off leash at any time. Double Leashing is preferred if you have a slip lead to bring along for your leg of the trip.Do not feel the need to walk Gus outside if you arrive early. Sitting in the car will be fine for him. (If you have a water bowl, please bring it so he can take a water sip between cars to keep him hydrated).
PLEASE USE YOUR CHILD LOCKS so that Gus cannot accidentally open a window or door! (It has happened! Airedales are very smart!)
