Subject: Airedale Home Visit in DavidsonHello Martin & Palmer
Thank you both for being part of the next phase of the Airedale Rescue Group adoption process which is a home visit. Julie, our ARG volunteer enjoyed talking with you Martin and we want to get to the next step of our process with you. Palmer is a 2X ARG adopter and overall Terrier fan! Please be cautious and apply COVID safety during the ARG home visit. In the past, the volunteers have gone into the home for the visit. Since COVID, we are asking that the visit remain outside. This will give each of you a chance to talk and Palmer can see the fencing, yard, overall area the Airedale would be living in.
Please determine a time that each of you could meet. Hopefully with this nice weather – soon!

My name is Christina and I volunteer with Mary for Airedale Rescue Group. Mary really enjoyed talking with you all and learning about your past and current Airedale history.. We have had some volunteers who’ve had to step back due to health/work/other issues and I am stepping back into ARG volunteering. I have been trying to find an ARG volunteer to conduct a home visit with you all however I have stuck out multiple times. I have not been able to find anyone who can do the home visit so we have an alternate plan.I would like to conduct a second interview with you all to substitute the home visit. Would you have about 30 minutes that we could talk one day. I’m fairly flexible and can make anything work. I hope you all are still interested in adopting an Airedale. THANK YOU.

Hi Phillip and Karen, I wanted to let you know you are approved to adopt an Airedale from ARG! Thanks so mush for your patience getting to this point with the delay in your home visit. The next step is finding an Airedale that will be a match for you and your family. Please watch our site for available Airedales however often we are working behind the scenes and know of ‘dales before they are posted online. THANK YOU again for your patience as we go through the process, its all important to our mission of caring for these special dogs.March 24, 2021 at 12:14 pm in reply to: 2021 Phillip & Karen Barrows, Memphis, TN, Not ADT exp., 0 pets, 7yo grand, 1-2 hr al HOLD-Lost job #27075From: Tracey Haynes

Subject: Re: Airedale Home Visit (ARG) needed in MemphisHi Christina.
Rob and I went and did the home visit this afternoon for Phillip & Karen. They did invite us in (we social distanced),I think due to the fact that there is no yard in front of their townhome. You go from the street to the sidewalk to their front door.
They live downtown which is very City. There is a parking lot across from their home which looks like its used for movie theater parking.
The home was immaculate and open concept (we only saw the downstairs).
The furniture looked new and the downstairs has tile flooring with a large rug in the living area.
The dog would have a crate in their upstairs bedroom and that is where they would leave the dog if they had to leave the house until they were comfortable that the dog would not tear or rip up things. They would also get a doggie bed for up and downstairs.
Both Phillip & Karen were respectful and talkative.
There is a dog park about 25-30 yards from their front door. Other than that, I didn’t see any area where the dog would be able to potty other than the courtyard which is concrete.
They are aware and understand that even if the dog is housebroken, that it can still have accidents when being re-homed.I do have one major concern (At least I think it is). The staircase is pretty steep looking and it is made of metal/wrought iron and it’s open riser. I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to ask them about it or not so I didn’t. My apologies if I were.
Overall, I think they would be good dog owners. That being said, if I were to leave my dogs with them, I’d have to ask that they put up a gate so my dogs wouldn’t be able to go up and down the stairs. I see them as an accident waiting to happen.
I hope I covered everything I was supposed to. If you have any questions, please let me know. I’ll be happy to try to answer them.
Thanks so much for having trust in Rob and I to help out!

As you know we (Chris and Kevin) are the foster parents of Finley ( not his birth name, unknown ).
We are prepping him today to lose his repro parts at 2 pm. He is going to have a 7-10 day recover period. Thanks for your interest in him and the Airedale breed all around. We have had him in our home for 16 days so there are many attributes undiscovered but so far most of what we know is really good.
He is our second foster in the past 5 months. Daisey was chauffeured in Elsa’s Airedale chariot to Traveler Rest SC. just before Thanksgiving and resides in Easley SC.
Like you we have had breeder and lost and found Airedales and love em all.Is there a good time later this week – evening maybe to do a call with all the 2 legged and give and get details and ideas ?
thanks
Kevin and Chris

Jenn reached out to Jackie as she was frustrated with her new ‘dale Zora who is 4 mos old (born 11/6/2020)
here are my notes on conversation:
Jenn Jarman
frustrated with Zora
worked in kennel with breed so she feels she knows the breed
puppy she purchased from Missouri – got at 8 weeks
she and daughter have been training
yard is not fenced
taking her on road in subdivision to walk –
bites at her –
shakes her to stop
Zora acts like she is attacking her – grabs her coat, ankle, arm – aggressively
Zora listens to commands in house – sit, down, lie, relaNext Steps
daughter, age 30, is going to take her to training at Petco starting on 3/17, she paid $200 for a training class
I told her to build the skills she has inside on the outside. If Zora listens to her inside, then work on those same commands outside and reward her.Zora details
over 30 lbs at 4 mos
will be very big – vet says she may get to 70lbs
from a breeder in Missour
Her ex husband is still breeding dogs in Covington, GA
