Hi – yes, that’s what i thought on the fence. I figured since they had moved – it would be on a list of projects. I’m fine with them because they plan to leash walk.Christina Prange

Hi Christian
thank you! As suspected, I thought they would pass. Yes the children are a concern. Do they have a fence yet. At one point they did not. I understand they are leash walkers so I’m not too worriedAppreciate your help!

Good afternoon Christina. I’m sorry I did not see this message it went to my spam folder. I just completed the home visit with Matt and his family, everything checks out great! The only concern I have would be his small children. We would have to make sure that he is paired with an Airedale that can tolerate small children. Feel free to give me a call if you have any other questions or need more details. (803)600-9213Sent from my iPhone

Subject: Pearl, Saturday 2/18 (TOMORROW) Signal Mountain to CharlotteThank you for helping to transport Pearl on Saturday February 18 from Signal Mountain to Charlotte, NC!!!! Let me know that you received this note and are ‘good’ with the details. (THANK YOU!!!)
Safe Travels and I will be available for any questions.(919-605-4563) Let me know when you’re safely back home! Pictures are welcome but safety first!Safety:
Regular safety – please ensure that you are aware of Pearl when opening car doors, transferring her from person to person, always making sure a hand is on the leash. Unless necessary, remain in car until transport transfer occurs; when opening car doors, ensure that the leash is secured by hand on the leash; when allowing potty breaks – ensure that collar/leash(s) are tight for no escape; be aware of surroundings – even a plastic bag in the wind may spook a dog in unfamiliar settings. Do not let her off leash at any time. Double Leashing is preferred if you have a slip lead to bring along for your leg of the trip.
Do not feel the need to walk Pearl outside if you arrive early. Sitting in the car will be fine for her. (If you have a water bowl, please bring it so she can take a water sip between cars to keep him hydrated).PLEASE USE YOUR CHILD LOCKS so that Pearl cannot accidentally open a window or door! (It has happened!)

They will definitely be fine to adopt. Their house and financial means will absolutely meet the need of any airedale. They are calm and know dales can be wild. We shared some stories about Jasper’s antics and they didn’t flinch. They did share, they probably want a younger dog who can participate in the family activities: walking daily, boat rides at the lake, hanging in the backyard. They are also a bit timid about strong prey drives. That is the only thing that somewhat concerned me. I’ve had 4 dales and they were/ all very prey driven. I think they’ve had 3-4 dales and they seem to have done some in-depth training in that area. But depending on the age of the dog, I’m not sure if it would be feasible to retrain; however, anything is possible. Their airedale, Ginger, is VERY sweet! She is well groomed, plenty of toys and is certainly the center of the family. I wouldn’t anticipate her having any problems with another dog. I mentioned during the adoption process if it works out for the dogs to meet prior, that is sometimes done. But as I said that, I realized I might be thinking of my parents Great Pyrenees group doing that. They have a close personal relationship with their vet so all health needs would be met without question. They asked if the dogs are neutered. I said I believe so but would confirm. Male/ female doesn’t seem to matter.Overall, they were lovely and well experienced. It was a pleasure meeting them and I hope it works out for them to welcome an airedale in need because they will spoil and love him/ her!
Blanks adopted one of Bay’s puppies from 2021 (Easter Puppies) – believe they called her Ruthie
2/16/23 – asked Blanks for transport help since they’re in Acworth GA and would meet Pat Painter for Pearl.
THey responded could not help w/ transport. Sent photo of Cosmo – one ear up always and Ruthie.-
