om David Fleshman telling me they have had a change in their home situation and are terminating their adoption application.
He thanked us for the time we put in. I’m guessing there are some health issues.

Hi Pat and all,
Geno had his first Vet appt today and passed with flying colors. He does have some limited range of motion in one leg, but vet and us suspect it is due to lack of exercise. We are just awaiting results on feces testing.
He is now chipped, number is 985 141 001 539 086.
He is starting to show more and more of his personality, and he is a sweet gentle soul. Stubborn and working hard to train us rather than us him. He loves TV, any show.
Let me know if you have questions.
Thank you
John and Bonnie Riggs, and Geno

Hi Pat,According to Geno’s last vet report he is neutered. I have attached the record given to us.
The owner also supplied us with new Heartworm, and Flea and Tick treatments, which we have started.
Can you please update the contract to show he is neutered and we have his treatments?
We will setup a new vet appointment towards the end of July after he has settled in a little better. We will have him chipped and work with the vet to get a SC rabies tag to be complient with local laws. We will also do whatever treatments the vet suggests.
When you have updated the contract, please send it back to me. I will write you a check to avoid the card fees and get it in the mail. Also, we appreciate the offer of the rescue to reimburse any costs to get Geno up to date, but we will take care of those costs ourselves. He is now our child and responsibility, and challenge!! (LOL)
Thank you
John Riggs

Subject: Piper’s Adoption Agreement
To: Pat HairstonHi Pat,
I just realized that we never actually signed and returned the adoption form for Piper. We just considered her ours from the first moment we met her. Anyways, I’ve attached it here. If it is still ok, we will pay the adoption fee in September when I get paid again.
Piper is still doing fantastic. She is such a joy and hilarious! I can’t wait to get her back together with her friends at the next Airedale club meeting.
Just curious, did you ever reach out to the breeder? I thought I might just to find out a bit about her litter. Also, do you think Delilah’s new family would be interested in staying in contact with us? If not, I will stop asking. I just think it would be fun for the girls to see each other. 😊
Thanks again for everything!
Katie

Subject: Bentley – Airedale Rescue Grouphi Rodney – thanks for submitting the surrender form for Bentley today. I called this afternoon to speak to you about next steps and left a message. Do you have any additional photos of Bentley – we will use them on our website, which applicants. A few more photos is better – just because people like to see photos.
Also – please have Bentley brought up to date on basic shots. I left a message about this step in the phone mail so you could go ahead and get an appointment with your vet. We can talk next steps when you can call me back – we can talk about Bentley a bit more. Thank you.

She did have a bad ear infection – sounds like had to have a cytology and ear cleaning had to be done, plus meds
Did not sound like we got any discounts – apparently the vet practice was sold and his friends wife does not own it any longer.
