Thank you so much again, Christina! If I hear anything about Airedale’s, you guys will be the first to know!

      Hi Abbie
Sounds like the hand off was successful yesterday for “Karate” from Julie.
I wanted to mention, Julie said it to whoever she spoke to (I was not sure if she met the owner, or it was someone who was working there), if karate ever needs a home, Julie will come get him in a heart beat. We would want to handle that however is best for you all – she would adopt through Dekalb Animal Center directly or if you wanted it handled through Airedale Rescue Group. I just had to mention it – in case owner said anything about not wanting him. Which, I know she did not want that – but just in case!

Julie can bring him back – what is best for Dekalb so we don’t take a spot on the animal center and he does not need to stay there? When can owner come get him.

      You’re open until 7 tonight?

      Hi Abbie
I wanted to let you know the finder of Karate who brought him to the shelter reached out to me last night on text. She said the Airedale’s owner notified her through nextdoor that the Airedale is her dog. She said the dog had been missing for 4 days. Finder said that’s not accurate – that starting tomorrow its been a week since she found the dog. I told the Finder to respond that the dog had been taken to DCAS. So – just wanted you to be aware that this may happen today. Who knows.

      Hi Abbie
“karate” Airedale is doing great! He got picked up on Saturday by Julie who is his foster. Everything went well with Jessica – I called her to let her know ETA by Julie.

He is doing good! Here are some photos. He spent today at the garden center and planting the vegetable
      Garden. He’s tired tonight!

Anyone come forward yet? Was there an age estimate on him. We think he is young!

12/13/24 Vet office – instantly knew them, you could tell phone answerer had a nice affection for them; she said they are awesome; both dog UTD on Vaccines; both neutered; prevention purchased at vet – years supply for HW Flea.

Ava and I spoke and Ben joined in a few minutes into the conversation on speaker phone. They have had Terriers in their marriage, before kids. Their first dog was a Welsh Then, they have Murray who is now 9 years old. They said he is the most perfect dog. They got their Welsh from a breeder, when he was 11 mos old. Neither use a crate but they are open to crate training.

Their kids have been around dogs – their own and her parents have big dogs.

She said they have a very strict policy in their house on opening doors – no one opens door without the dogs being secured. They live in a big neighborhood, and towards the back.

When they go out of town, a pet sitter will stay at the house; sleeps in the house with the dogs.

SHe goes to work 3 days a week, 9:30-5:30. Dogs roam in the house when they are away – not crated but of course would be open to a crate for a new dog.

Fence is very secure. Their last Welsh was an escape artist. She said the dog cannot weasle their way out of the fence. It is like 3 wooden slats iwth a mesh on it.

We spoke about Morgan – he is neutered, in a foster home.

Open to HV but not available tomorrow/Sunday. She is home during the week. They are not traveling for holidays. She said we’re Jewish so we do not have Christmas obligations.

Things are quite hectic around here right now, unfortunately due to the holidays and some other commitments. I hate to make it commitment to a house inspection at this point. I think it would be best if we wait until after the first of the year.

                    I’m not looking for puppies. I’m looking for a 3 to 5 year-old that’s well trained.

Thank you for doing what you’re doing for Airedale’s.

It rarely happens in Airedale Rescue but ARG is took 9 puppies into our care over this weekend. There was an accidental breeding from a breeder who is outside of Knoxville and the breeder has come to ARG as she knows we will find them good, approved homes. The puppies are approx 6 months old. Although the breeder has AKC papers, we declined to receive them as we don’t use these for our rescued ‘dales.
