                Hello Geoff and Candace
I am a volunteer with Airedale Rescue Group and wanted to check in about your interest in a rescued ‘dale. Know that last year, you put the process on hold. We have a few new ‘dales coming in for 2025 – already! If you’d like to reactivate your application to continue the process – let me know! Thanks!

                        Pat,
I am frequently traveling to NC at this time to help my mom, who is dealing with some health issues. I’m afraid I can’t give Chance the time he needs with all the traveling I’m doing right now. Thank you for contacting me though and things should hopefully settle down as my mom improves.
                        Thank you!

Kerri Oritz kept him for a few nights. When she returned him to the shelter, there is a disabled child who lets him out. He is getting out and running on Candler Road.

hi Annie – This is Christina with Airedale Rescue. We have Max – again. He has been seen 2X this week, roaming. On Saturday night, he was on a porch of someone who notified us and she kept him safe overnight. This morning an ARG volunteer went to get him to bring him in her home; keep him safe in the home.

How should we proceed with this? Can we report him as a found dog to your county and if the owner does not come forward, could we work with y’all to find him an Airedale approved home through ARG?

Thanks for letting us know – this is a repeat Airedale on the loose!

The owner wanted us to neuter Max before she reclaimed him. She picked him up on Monday.

I let her know that if she’s struggling to care for him that there is a rescue who is willing to take him. She was very appreciative of this and will reach out if she feels that Max is too much for her to handle.

I touched base with Aimee Bell who fostered Max. I understand he was neutered, thank you.

Was he returned to the owner after neutering?

Airedale Rescue Group is prepared to take responsibility if he was not returned to owner.

Pat Hairston with Airedale rescue Group. I work with Christina Prange and we previously talked with you (Feb 24 & May 23) about Max, an Airedale Terrier.

Max was running at large, again, and taken in by Aimee Bell who emailed me this morning. No collar/no tag. Apparently there is an exchange on Nextdoor for Decatur GA. She is willing to hold onto Max and can get him to a Airedale Rescue Group representative instead of sending him to the shelter which we know is overcrowded. The owner has not responded on Nextdoor posts.

                                  Please call me, 910-200-5890.

                                  Most Grateful,

                                  Hello,

There is an airedale named Max that I found on my street in Dekalb County, Georgia. I will be dropping him off today at Lifeline Animal Project / Dekalb County Animal Services. 3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Drive Chamblee, GA 30341.

A neighbor told me to search “airedale” on my Nextdoor account and I found a long history going back a year of Max running off, being found far from home and being returned to the owner. I think Max has previously been dropped off at Lifeline based on one of the posts.

My goal here is to put Max on your radar and hope that Lifeline will consider re-homing him. He does not have a fenced backyard and he is very high energy. I gave him a bath and he was very good about it and thanked me. He also briefly interacted with the two big dogs at my house and just wanted to smell them; I didn’t sense any aggression.

Based on the Nextdoor posts, the owner is lackadaisical about the responsibilities of dog ownership and does not provide Max the exercise or security it needs. The owner is tagged several times in the posts.

I’m happy to provide any information I can. I hope Max can go to a home that fits his needs.

                                  Regards,

                                  Aimee Bell
