The way that we’d handle is if it was deemed a good match – and Ellie Mae really wants a dog sibling – then we’d arrange transport to you. If for some reason it did not work out, then we’d ask you to return the dog to us – our closest volunteer is Barbara Yager and she is in Fort Mill. Of course it takes some time to work out kinks but we’d be with you every step of the way.

              Christina and Barbara,

Thanks for your patience…we did hear from the poodle rescue. This weekend we drove to SC and picked up our new labradoodle Noah!!

However, please keep my application active…not sure when, but in the near future I still hope to adopt an Airedale. I admire their humor and gusto…I think the breed would “keep me on my toes!” I have enjoyed the story about Beowolf…what a character!

I will keep in touch and again thank you both for everything you do!

              Sincerely,

              Anna

I think it’s time I make a decision on Toby,, and we would like to adopt

                him. 🙂

Not sure what the end result will be with the motion sickness, but for short

rides at least, he now looks forward to them and runs excitedly to the

garage door, jumping up and down, if I ask if he wants to go for a ride. He

has come out of his shell so much, especially in the past couple weeks. He

still is shy of strangers if they reach out to him initially; but he will

approach them slowly if they are patient and then he loses all shyness with

them. Every morning before work I walk the same route, in which we walk

across the street from the driving range; and every Monday, Wednesday and

Friday morning the same group of Crescent guys are out there. Many of the

guys walk across the street and talk to me and play with Toby and Jake. So

now every time Toby sees someone on the golf course, he is sure they want to

“say hi” to him, ha ha. It’s all been very encouraging. The only time he

gets nervous in the crate is if Jake isn’t in the vicinity. Saturday night

we went out for dinner and Jake somehow managed to get himself shut in the

laundry room. Toby’s crate was wet from drool and panting when we got him a

few hours later, but the wires and floor of the crate were still intact 🙂

(I had a checkup with him at the vet last week and all is good – no signs of

worms; they still think he needs another 5 pounds on him, so will continue

to feed 5-6 cups of food a day.)

Spoke to Jill at their vet’s office and she said that she has no record of them being clients of their practice, so I guess they need to be called back to ask what’s up with that??

                    Thanks

I run by this house 3X week! Happy to do HV. Curious what she means that she’d give up a dog if move or change in health. Their previous dog lived to be in the teens so I cannot imagine that they are throw away type people.

She called me one day during work and I missed her call. They did not adopt an Airedale. I forget – border & labradoodle type mix dog. She said that they’re concentrating on her. I’ll email back but I think we can have these to moved on.

                                I can do HV.

Another HV idea is the lady who has a female….RuthAnn Grimes. She lives in Garner. I’d only send Ruth Ann if you feel this family is an easy pass of HV. I’ll be happy to HV if it needs a more serious, scrutinized HV. Would not be a good home for EM because not mult dog house
