                hi Zoe
As we collected our intake docs about Maximus and I read through the vet records, I saw something that I had to ask owner about. Per the records, Maximus stayed at kennel in 12/2025 and vet records said
Max has a 3/6 heart murmur. Grade 3/6 left-sided systolic murmur, heart rate 148 bpm, synchronous femoral pulses

When I asked owner he said “Well this is news to me. Unless I’m badly mistaken, this was never communicated or they said ti was nothing to worry about. They never suggested medication for him from what i recall. He still has energy and no issues with long walks.”

I asked if Max was boarded at that vet over 12/2025 Christmas time frame as that is when the notes indicate it was identified and he said he had boarded him there over Christmas (i wondered if there was an error on the vet records). His dad picked up Max. He had a limp from where he sprained his foot but that was the only issue and he is fine now – no limp.

With that said, I wanted to ask if you’d like to proceed with arranging a meet up with Maximus. He seems like the perfect age and experience with children but this is new news that we had to share with you.
(My Rosie, who you may have met, had a heart murmur – she lived to 12. I had her on medication at the end which helped her. My dog nephew, a lab, has had a heart murmur since he was a puppy and its monitored every year, he does normal walking and exercise and it has not changed – no medication).

i am going to make these connections soon. If Nancy can drive up that’s probably better.
I texted to Sadie’s owner, Stacey as I would like to chat with her first before sharing names and phone for planning.
                  This one is easy.

                      hi Nancy,
We have an incoming female ‘dale who is a little over 1 year old. Her owner’s disabilities have become more difficult for her to keep up with Sadie. Sadie gets along with other animals – even chickens. Would this be a good match for you? If so, please let me know.

I plan to talk to Sadie’s owner today. Pat has exchanged some FB details – she posted on our site kinda seeking help and we encouraged her to surrender to ARG, which she did. Pat will get her vet records to confirm and hold but she has been well cared for.

2/17/26 Called for vet reference . All good. update to date on vaccines, fecal. Good pet parents. Vet office showed heartworm preventative script in the online store ran out in October of 2025. It may be a glitch on their end, but I need confirmation from you that Saba is on preventative. Email sent to Gregg asking for proof.

                          Hi Gregg-

I contacted your vet office and the record showed heartworm preventative script in the online store ran out in October of 2025. It may be a glitch on their end, but I need confirmation from you that Saba is on preventative. Could you provide a receipt for the preventative?

Once I have this, we can move forward with a home visit.
                          Thanks much.

2/9/26 Haley contacted Pat by FB Messenger that her dogs were not liking him.
She asked for ArG to take him. When asked to complete a surrender form stating he was not her dog. I reached out to Alyssa Adam and she said she could take him temporarily.

Alyssa and Haley connected. Alyssa has the dog.

Need to get him fostered before 2/28 as Alyssa goes out of town. Emailed Tim Hartney with Oliver about fostering.
