We offered Dale a 7 y/o dog named Higgins who was cat friendly. Sadly we had to take back our offer when the owner place Higgins outside of rescue

Truman left Molly’s on December 12 and will be staying with Donalie Jones.

Truman is very underweight and has very dry skin. Molly disassociated with him in the end of his stay (probably to deal with her feelings about not keeping him) and he was very depressed when Donalie got him. I am very disappointed with all of this and believe if she were to foster again, we would have to seriously talk to her about a few things.

                                  Betsy,

It breaks my heart to write this.

Just a few minutes ago, Truman left the electronic fenced area to chase down two dogs being walked on a leash down the street.

I was able to catch him and bring him back into the house.

The woman waited for me to come back outside and she said that Truman does this each time she walks by. She was noticeably shaken. Truman is a big dog and she had small dogs she was trying to protect when he started running after her. By the time I got my shoes on and ran outside, they were quite a ways up the road – with Truman still engaging her dogs.

He didn’t hurt the other dogs or the woman, but for his own safety, I will have to take him out on a leash only from now on.

We do not have a fenced yard, so it is critical that our dogs stay in the yard with the electric collars.

Truman doesn’t seem to have a problem doing that normally, but if he sees something he wants to go after, evidently he is willing to get shocked to go after it.

I know that not all dogs will stay in an electronic enclosure.

Everything considered, I feel it is best for him to find a home with a fenced yard.

I have wanted to keep him because I feel so badly for him. I know that he’s been through a lot. But, I feel sure he will find a home that can provide him with a fenced yard and plenty of love. The rescue is great for doing that!

I am happy to keep him here until he is adopted and will gladly assist with any transport needs.

                                  Molly
