Subject: Chloe Transport, Sunday 7/25/21 Greenville – Gaffney – Winston Salem

Hello Emily, Kim & Guy, please let me know that you received this note
Thank you for helping with Chloe! I think she is going to do great with Ralph her new airedoodle brother! Emily and her husband Richard were gracious and are hosting an overnight with Chloe tonight at their house. They will start out tomorrow morning to Gaffney for a 10:00 AM Meeting Time (details below)

      Safety:
Regular safety – please ensure that you are aware of Chloe when opening car doors, transferring her from person to person, always making sure a hand is on the leash. Unless necessary, remain in car with A/C until transport transfer occurs; when opening car doors, ensure that the leash is secured by hand on the leash; when allowing potty breaks – ensure that collar/leash(s) are tight for no escape; be aware of surroundings – even a plastic bag in the wind may spook a dog in unfamiliar settings. Do not let her off leash at any time 😊
Heat Safety – Its going to be hot on Sunday. Do not feel the need to walk Chloe outside if you arrive early. Sitting in the car in the A/C will be fine for her. (IF you have a water bowl, please bring it so she can take a water sip between cars to keep him hydrated)
PLEASE USE YOUR CHILD LOCKS so that Chloe cannot accidentally open a window or door! (It has happened!)

      Meeting Location – Gaffney, SC

            Subject: Lucy

Just wanted to let you and all the Airedale Rescue group know we had to put down our sweet Lucy girl this week. She had had a bad night on Monday with breathing fast and rapid heart rate. Took her to vet on Tuesday as soon as it opened. Here she had a belly full of blood from her spleen that was full of cancer with spots on the liver. Vet said he could do surgery to remove spleen but the outcome wasnt very good. Karl and I made the very hard decision to let her go. She gave us so much joy, love and laughter in her time that we had her and she will be very much missed. Karl and I want to thank you and the rescue group for letting us adopt her. Keep up all the work you do to rehome this great breed. Thanks again. Joanne Kinscherf

Hi Pat – I saw your facebook post. I am not incredibly close to Fayetteville, but happy to help with a foster if needed.

We have rescued Airedale through NC Airedale Rescue Group and fostered for them previously. Our boy is 10 and great with other dogs. We also have kids (ages 4 and 7). They have grown up with dogs and understand respecting space.

Let me know if you want to talk and feel free to keep my info for the future. Always happy to help!

Hottats adopted Henry/Tank/Duke, now Gus from Stameys, July 2021. Henry was adopted by Terry Stamey however he needed a rehome because Terry’s daughter had a bad riding accident and Terry is caring for her. Marisa and Ed Hottat are driving to Highlands, NC to meet him tomorrow. HW treatment to start very soon.

                            Hi Christina,

We adopted a rescue from Illinois last December and I believe she is going to have to be our only dog. She is a big girl 90 pounds and just turned 2. Thankfully she is a very good girl.

Wish we could handle two but I guess we’d best stick with Charlee.

                            Best of luck,
                            Nancy R.

                            Hi Nancy & Phil
My name is Christina and I am a volunteer with Airedale Rescue Group. I work closely with Jackie Cash who you’ve communicated with about Airedales. Jackie is taking some time off of ARG for medical and I am stepping in. Are you still interested in adopting an Airedale. I know you’ve indicated you would like a male Airedale and I wanted to tell you about Toodles. I think he fits most of the things you’re looking for in a ‘dale. Toodles foster mom (AL) has been very committed to him and loves him dearly but she has cats and its not a fit for her forever life. She has worked with him and he has come so far – he is a great leash walker now – she takes him on a lot of walks. He loves playing in the yard and toys and snuggles!
Tootles. Tootles will require patience and long-term medical care for nasal disease/chronic rhinitis. We have extensive medical records on him and will share them with the adopter. He would be ok with another dog his size, older children (>10) and no cats; absolutely no cats. Here is his information: Tootles, 5 yr old Male/Neutered, AL, Airedale Rescue Group, Available – Airedale Rescue Group Since he will require monthly medication, our National Airedale Rescue group has agreed to pay for his monthly medications (submit invoice to the Treasurer and will be reimbursed)

We also have a sweet girl dale named belle who I will also include some information about. I know you’ve been a male ‘dale owner in the past but Belle is a sweet girl – who wants to be an only child!
Belle is a 7 yr old female-spayed that would do best in a single dog home. She is dominant and possessive of her person and things. Information about Belle can be found here: Belle, Female-Spayed, 7 yrs old, AL, Airedale Rescue Group, Available – Airedale Rescue Group

Please let me know if this is a good time for you to adopt and if you’d be interested in Toodles (or Belle!)

6/2021 – reached out to Julee and Sharon Potusky – both who have left Savannah area for ideas on any Airedale friends who live in Brunswick and/or south side of Savannah.

6/2021 – home visit delayed during COVID; when I reconnected in June, they had adopted an Airedale from a shelter in January 2021. Told James we would include them in Raleigh Airedale events
