September 30, 2024 at 6:55 pm in reply to: 24-20NC Butter nee Otter, male, neutered, 4 yrs old owner died, adopted Barbara Yager #32466Per Bay He has original tail, friendly and a good kisser. His ears were not set/glued. His skin and fur/hair need better nourishment as his hair is thin and fine. He is friendly happy and extremely affectionate. He would be best with someone who wants to bond and build confidence over some of his scared or fear issues.
When he was groomed and had nails – he was very dramatic! He is a bit head shy.
He is under exposed to care – trimming, nails, gromming. He is still a humper – humping. He listens to ff or no when he is jumping up on you.

Subject: ARG Transport – Madison, AL to Birmingham, AL – Saturday Sept 21Hello Rhonda, Kimberly & Fernando – I am very happy to introduce all of you for meeting on tomorrow, Saturday 9/21 to exchange Brandy/Maisie! Pet Pawlor knows our Airegirl as Brandy – so we will call her Brandy. Thank you for spending part of your Saturday to help us get Brandy to her new family, Kimberly and Fernando.
Safety: Regular safety – please ensure that you are aware of Brandy when opening car doors, transferring her from person to person, always making sure a hand is on the leash. Unless necessary, remain in car until transport transfer occurs; when opening car doors, ensure that the leash is secured by hand on the leash; when allowing potty breaks – ensure that collar/leash(s) are tight for no escape; be aware of surroundings – even a plastic bag in the wind may spook a dog in unfamiliar settings. Do not let her off leash at any time. Double Leashing is preferred if you have a slip lead to bring along for your leg of the trip.
Do not feel the need to walk Brandy outside if you arrive early. Sitting in the car will be fine for her. (If you have a water bowl, please bring it so he can take a water sip between cars to keep him hydrated). Staying in the car is safest and less risk for escape.PLEASE USE YOUR CHILD LOCKS so that Brandy cannot accidentally open a window or door! (It has happened! Airedales are very smart!)
LOGISTICS:
Rhonda will pick up Brandy – she has a collar on.
Rhonda, can you bring a leash and then an additional leash – almost like a slip lead. Chris Lincoln has been caring for Brandy, visiting her at Pet Pawlor and transported her to Pet Pawlor and said that Brandy rides beautifully in the car. “She will need some sort of a chokey leash:. She is a bit wild initially”. Once she is safely transferred into Kimberly’s vehicle, you all can switch leashes and Rhonda can take her leashes home. Do this leash swap in the car, with closed doors (not in the parking lot!).Madison, AL – Rhonda picks up Brandy from 8;00-815, departs 8:30

Subject: Re: Home Visit in SalemChristina –
I just left The Zapata’s home and had a great visit. They have a nice fenced in backyard for their dogs. The home is big enough for rough housing! They are really excited about Maisie and possibility adopting her. They were also glad that I could give them more information about her and how sweet and funny she is. They did understand that they would need to get her spay before the adoption could be finalized.
I think they would be a good fit for her. My only concern is how the dogs will play together, but their giant schnauzer is much younger than my girls. That would be my concern with any addition to a home. I will fill out the paperwork you sent me and get that to you tonight.
They did ask how long the approval will take once you got my paperwork. I told them I wasn’t sure but knew that you guys wanted her in a happy home and out of boarding.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Subject: ARG Application Processhi Nicole
I wanted to let you know that we appreciate your interest to foster an Airedale with ARG. You have fostered with other organizations and fostering is a great thing to do. Since your yard is not completely fenced, ARG cannot place a foster with you. Most of our new ‘dales who come to us need the security of a fully fenced yard. If we get an Airedale that we know is not going to be a risk, to not have a fenced in yard, we would be able to consider y’all. In the meantime, we would love if you would like to keep in touch with us if your home changes. Also – we always need transport volunteers (1-2 hr leg of a trip to get our ‘dales to their homes). Which would give you and Patrick a nice exposure to an Airedale. Please let me know if you have any questions, thanks.Christina Prange

Hi Tara,My name is Pat and I am a volunteer for Airedale Rescue Group, alongside Jackie Cash and Christina Prange. ARG needs help with a home visit for a couple who live in
Ooltewah. Would you be willing to go to their house and meet them. They has passed the interview and reference piece of the application process. If you’re willing to help with this, I would send an email to introduce both of you and then leave it up to the two of you to coordinate a time for a home visit. Usually a home visit takes 30-45 minutes. A lot of times its nice to meet other Airedale people!
Thanks much,
