Subject: Airedale Rescue Group Transport Mavis – Thursday, November 13 Cumming – Pawley’s IslandHello ARG Mavis Volunteers, Thank you for helping Mavis Thursday November 13 (tomorrow!). We appreciate that you are able to help on a weekday with Mavis to get her to her new home/family.
Mavis was in a shelter in Atlanta area and she has been fostered(trained, learned manners, potty training!!!) with Steve and his family for a couple of weeks. Thank you Steve! For tomorrow’s transport, please bring an extra leash to double leash her – a slip leash as an extra safety. When opening car door – be ready for her. We advise that he not be walked around for potty break during this transport. she can hold it and he can go directly from car to car to minimize risk of escaping.Cumming, GA to Pawleys Island, SC – 6 hr

Dave called in November 2025 to let me know that Lok had been hit by a car at the top of their driveway. He was shaken up but thought he should tell ARG since Loki was our dog. He mentioned that Ned Pepper is quite old and bed ridden. I do not know circumstances of how Loki was hit by car nor did I ask. Very sad

October 20, 2025 at 5:45 pm in reply to: 2025 Sydney Kermeen Winterville NC good fence, ADT as child _adopt IONA 10/2025 #34166Things are going well so far. We may change her name but are still thinking of a good fit for her. Iona is a very sweet and loving dog. She has been quite energetic but I am not sure if this is her baseline as a 2 year old or if it is stress/anxiety from all the sudden new things from her transition. I think it’s more stress because she seems to be panting non stop. She likes to follow us both around the house everywhere we go. I think she is starting to calm down and she’s becoming more comfortable with her new surroundings. We kept her in a crate with a bed the first night and she liked that. Last night I trialed her with a dog bed free in my bedroom and she did very well.
October 18, 2025 at 11:56 am in reply to: 2025 Maura Mcgarry, Savannah GA, e-fence, No pets, no children _ Sam O adopting #34164These look like very viable adoptions, however, I’m not in a position to adopt a dog until January 5 or later.
Keep me in mind, however, if you think there is a good fit for me (non-aggressive, dog, cat and child friendly) that could be fostered until I’m available.

she is fabulous!!Met her sister too.
She is in great health, not that I asked by you could see the good energy.
Lovely home.
Her bedroom is on the first floor and unless there is overnight company, the pup will be on the first floor with her.
The yard is immaculate and as of right now, not fenced in.
She had applied for a fence approval and it will give her about a basketball court size back yard.
She lives right off the walking paths they have all around the Landings just like sea pines but better.
She will be great and ( this sounds funny, but had a kind sounding voice)
October 14, 2025 at 4:49 pm in reply to: 25-43 Iona, Female-Intact, 2 yrs old, Goldsboro NC, Sweet, affectionate, Good with kids,NEEDS ACTIVE home, Sydney Kermeen adopts 10.2025 #34155She eats purina pro plan 30/20 sport (beef or chicken is fine). She has also eaten purina pro plan sensitive skin and stomach salmon in the past (because my poodles are allergic to chicken). She can eat pretty much whatever lol.
I haven’t seen her really show any interest in a dog bed; however, it’s usually taken by someone else and we let the dogs on the furniture and bed lol
We do use a crate for Iona. She is very well crate trained. She can sleep in the crate overnight or she is able to sleep in our room with us. She usually sleeps on the floor.
I wouldn’t let her free roam unsupervised while they’re not home because we have never let her do that and I feel like she would get into trouble lol

Pat,
Unfortunately I have a daughter on drugs. She has a history of this and was in college until last week. She totaled a car and has multiple charges against her. Right now she has left with a man she met on social media. Things are a mess at my house. Please remove my application. I don’t see being able to adopt being anytime soon. I’m so sorry to waste your time.
I am still a member of your Facebook group and I hope you allow me to stay a member of it.
I apologize again. My husband and I are heartbroken.
Sorry,
Tracy Schaberg
