I wanted to let you know that we appreciate your interest to foster an Airedale with ARG. You have fostered with other organizations and fostering is a great thing to do. Since your yard is not completely fenced, ARG cannot place a foster with you. Most of our new ‘dales who come to us need the security of a fully fenced yard. If we get an Airedale that we know is not going to be a risk, to not have a fenced in yard, we would be able to consider y’all. In the meantime, we would love if you would like to keep in touch with us if your home changes. Also – we always need transport volunteers (1-2 hr leg of a trip to get our ‘dales to their homes). Which would give you and Patrick a nice exposure to an Airedale. Please let me know if you have any questions, thanks.Christina Prange

Hi Tara,My name is Pat and I am a volunteer for Airedale Rescue Group, alongside Jackie Cash and Christina Prange. ARG needs help with a home visit for a couple who live in
Ooltewah. Would you be willing to go to their house and meet them. They has passed the interview and reference piece of the application process.If you’re willing to help with this, I would send an email to introduce both of you and then leave it up to the two of you to coordinate a time for a home visit. Usually a home visit takes 30-45 minutes. A lot of times its nice to meet other Airedale people!

Subject: Marina Airedale Transport on Saturday 7/13/24 New Bern NC to Atlanta GATHANK YOU for helping on Saturday 7/13/2024. As always, thanks for your patience as we worked out drivers, meeting locations, times, etc. You all make this happen. Saturdays are busy and your weekend, ARG is so thankful that you spend a few hours to help Airedales get to their new homes. Please review the phone numbers for your connecting drivers – if you’re running behind, just text/call and I can adjust this timeline as necessary.
Background – Marina is approx 3 years and her owner was no longer able to keep her and her Wire Fox Terrier brother due to age decline. She is a sweet girl and cannot wait to meet her new familySafety: Regular safety – please ensure that you are aware of Marina when opening car doors, transferring her from person to person, always making sure a hand is on the leash. Unless necessary, remain in car until transport transfer occurs; when opening car doors, ensure that the leash is secured by hand on the leash; when allowing potty breaks – ensure that collar/leash(s) are tight for no escape; be aware of surroundings – even a plastic bag in the wind may spook a dog in unfamiliar settings. Do not let her off leash at any time. Double Leashing is preferred if you have a slip lead to bring along for your leg of the trip.
Do not feel the need to walk Marina outside if you arrive early. Sitting in the car will be fine for her. (If you have a water bowl, please bring it so he can take a water sip between cars to keep him hydrated).
PLEASE USE YOUR CHILD LOCKS so that Marina cannot accidentally open a window or door! (It has happened! Airedales are very smart!)

Background – Arrow is approx 10 months old. We will not post any reference to Arrow on Social Media due to circumstances of him coming to our care (which is totally good, he lived in a wonderful family). When I posted the need for transport on FB, I called him Biscuit! Arrow will be adopted by Nichole and George in Ladson, SC. Their friend Kim is helping on the transport on Saturday.
Safety: Regular safety – please ensure that you are aware of Arrow when opening car doors, transferring him from person to person, always making sure a hand is on the leash.
