Hi Christina,
Thank you for your reply. I will be sending pictures of Teddy next week. I would like to mention one thing about Teddy. Although he is a good eater, he had problems from dog food in the past (not just one brand, but many). He developed a severe allergic skin reaction. So I switched him to home cooked food made from rice, chicken and potatoes and carrots. He is a picture of health now. I know this will be a big problem as not so many families would commit themselves to cooking for him even twice a week, although “people food” is really much cheaper because it keeps vet bills at $0.00 and Walmart chicken is not that expensive. Besides, Teddy’s almost 8 y.o., he is slowing down and his energy requirements are not as high as in young, growing dogs. His monthly food bill is very reasonable. Please let me know about the kind of perspectives Teddy might expect with this new information about him.

Greg has inquired to meet an Airedale. He and family were supposed to come to Raleigh 2/22 wknd and they could meet tuna but their trip was postponed. All were sick. I think he would be good for tatum if it worked out

I spoke to Joanne last week. She said she is struggling wtih this because she adores Winnie but realizes she is someone elses dog. She will be happier with a hectic family, kids, someone to run around with. She has a very high prey drive – she has gone through their screen door after squirrels. Even gone through the picket fence – moved it out of the way to get out and after a squirrel. She has a cat in the house and Winnie will rush up to the cat but has never harmed it. SHe sniffs the cat. She loves people. She lives with two males – Boston Terrier age 8/Ollie and a Daschund who is older, Otis. She has no regard for their age and plays to rough, will ‘bowl’ over them when running. Joanne feels she needs a playmate that is her size. She loves to run in her backyard and has worn out a path in the yard where she has her running. She has a neighbor dog who she runs up and down the fence with too. Never crated. She is a chewer to bones but nothing else. Always been around MALE dogs. Likes to have her paw held when petting her belly. DOES NOT LIKE NAILS CLIPPED. She is 47 lbs. Terrified of thunder and gunfire – they just engage her in something else to distract her. Husband found her in Fuquay Varina and she was skinny, matted. The microchip was with Wake CPCA and she said the home was probably less than 1/2 mile from her. Theere was no fenced yard. Joanne waited the 10 days and no one responded to her. SHE WILL RUN OUT THE FRONT DOOR and they use a baby gate in the foyer to prevent her escapes.
NOT SPAYED.
She has the best personality in the world. Very hyper. 47lbs.
