Christina,
We are in love! We have some obedience training to get on but she is lovely and has taken to the girls and neighborhood kids quite well. She’s the sweetest thing. Truly. Even with the need for some training, she has found her forever home. She woke up the twins this morning by jumping in their bed and nuzzling them around the face, chest and arms. It was so cute.
Do you know if she’s chipped? The Tarpley’s vet hasn’t found one. We will take to our vet next week.
I have to admit that this is the first dog I’ve ever met that isn’t treat motivated. We are working at finding her motivation.
Thank you for your help in finding Tilly for us. We are so thrilled!!!
Regards,
Lara

Out of curiosity, where did you get the puppy from? Was he from your area? We often get requests for puppies and I like to recommend breeders when someone is looking for a young dog. Would you mind sharing? Thanks again and best wishes with your puppy.

August 12, 2012 at 2:39 am in reply to: Private: Gregory & Alecia Redd,Elgin SC 29045, Bucky into Foster 2022 with Sue Mioduser #12835Sue reminded me that Banfield requires owner permission to grant information to be shared so I wrote to Greg and asked him to allow info to be shared with Sue Taylor. I also asked a time to call him – after 7pm one night this week.
I spoke to Joy and I have emailed her a note so that she can email me photos. She said that she had completed this form about 6 times and never sent it because she was so sad to have to surrender Yogi. She got Yogi from someone who was going to turn him into a kill shelter that was full. Yogi had lived outside only, fenced yard and the people threw out Old roy for him to eat – just threw it out. She had had him on chicken and rice food. He is an inside dog. Very obedient. Walks in a heel at her left side. Her daughter is 21 y/o and she has a beagle/bully mix and he tolerates him but Yogi would rather be with human. The beagle/bully tries to play and he does not engage. Joy also has a 5 y/o child and she thinks that Yogi is getting fed lots of food from that child so she has no way to control his food if there was an allergy to soy/wheat/corn.
She has never had him vetted. Never been on HW preventative so she is afraid he will have hw. I think this is one where we should move quickly – once I receive the photos.

Subject: Inquiry about Bodie
Hi Christina,
My name is Greg Redd. I have been watching the ARG site for a few months and thought it might be time to contact some in the group about adopting a dog in the near future.
I moved to Columbia, SC late last year from New Mexico. I have had Airedales (5 in total) for most of my adult life and can’t imagine life without at least one around the house. So I consider myself a very experienced Airedale daddy. The last two that have joined my family both came from SWAT (Southwest Airedale Terrier Rescue) and are wonderful dogs. A divorce several years ago forced me into a “Joint Custody” situation with my ex-wife since neither one of us wanted to give him up as part of the settlement. But due to my relocation I was forced to leave Baron with my ex-wife in New Mexico following my departure last November. I currently have Gypsy. She is about 4 years old and I’ve had her since she was about 10 or so months old.
I am very interested in Bodie, and the other boys as well. But I would like to chat with someone that can give me a little more information about him and his background if it is known and provide you or another contact a little more about me and my situation and see if it looks like he would be a good match for us, then I’ll go from there.
I am available to chat on the phone most anytime and would probably prefer that if it is convenient to you or your representative at your convenience. But emailing always works as well, whichever is, again, more convenient for you.
Thanks for your time! I look forward to hearing back from you.
Best regards,
Greg

Subject: Airedale Rescue Group – welcome, delayed
Hello Greg & Alicia,
My name is Christina and I am a volunteer with ARG. I wanted to thank you for your application to ARG. Normally, our volunteer named Barbara Lawson handles applications and interviewing however her computer started to fail her last week and by Saturday she had to take it to the repair shop. Followed by a planned family vacation and then I went away for a week…..we’re delayed in our applicant care! So, I’m warning you that there will be a little delay in starting our communications with a few recent applications – like you! I did want to get a note off to you to let you know that we received your application though.
Our process starts by checking vet references and then an interview(s), followed up by a home visit. I see that you have a lot of good Airedale experience. Gypsey & Bella will miss their sister Sarah when she goes to college! Its good that there are two dogs for constant companionship. How big is Bella? She is a maltipoo? Does Gypsey respect her size?
Since Barbara is without her computer and then a vacation, I wanted to welcome you all and let you know that we’ll start the process of checking the references. Please let me know if you have any questions, I’m really sorry for the delay and I look forward to talking with you.

boarded at a really nice kennel with play time and he did fine.
Her son is age 12 and he does not want to give the dog up but Cindy has explained that it is not fair to the dog. Cindy is 4’11 and 110 lbs and Beo is too big for her. She repeated his tendancy to bolt if he can. I told her that I was working on a foster home for him. She stated that she does not want to give him up but it is necessary to move forward with their lives.
i offered Beo to Deb Haddaway, in Decatur GA about 1 hr away
Cindy sent 3 photos -cute dog, pb airedale.
Bay has vet records. Faxed to her with owners permission.
based on his above note I explained that i was glad he understood the activity needs of a terrier and that when BL got back we’d tackle all of the applicants and get back to speed.

Thanks for the email!
Riley is a sweetheart and around 15 pounds! She is very good around other dogs. Michelle and I are very calm and stable and have a very calm and stable relationship. Our house does NOT have a fenced yard, however, I would rarely leave a dog unsupervised in a yard. It goes against what I have learned to be successful. Michelle and I are highly active and would have no problem caring for the exercise needs of an Airedale. Poor Riley has gotten to the age that she can only walk for about forty five minutes without being picked up and carried home!! Laziness or stubbornness or old age!! Riley is leashed trained and will make a great impression on whoever chooses to conduct our interview. Michelle has fallen in love with the profile of Elle may, however I feel we should take more time to settle into our home before making such a large decision. What are your thoughts on the temperament of Airedales regarding this!?
Thank you VERY much for your time,
Connor Maltsberger
