Suzanne Sloan did the HV with Jacob and brought her Dale, Conway. the only notes she said in her email:
He passed with flying colors. He has a nice home, well set up for an Airedale and large back yard that is completely enclosed with a 6′ wooden fence. Conway and Jacob were very comfortable with each other and that was a good indicator of what kind of person Jacob is. She thinks Sam will be very happy there.Brooke Dinger that adopted one of the four puppies is going to do her HV. I emailed them this morning 7/9/26 to connect them.
Jacob is a very experienced Airedale owner. In talking to him, he has had three dales, and has no dogs at this time. Jacob and I have talked and text quite a few days about him wanting Sam. Lauren at Adventure Hounds where Sam is boarded also has spoken to Jacob and feels he is the best person to adopt him.
He works from home and the dog will be with him as much as possible. He does have an XL crate he will use for awhile until the dog gets acclimated. With Sam he knows he will have to use crate a little longer.
His references absolutely love him and told me what a great dog person Jacob is and how well he has taken care of his Airedales in the past.
Vet reference was the same, they couldn’t say enough about how Jacob was a great client and he brought in his dogs for any issues that arose. His last dog had all shots UTD, and on HW and flea/tick prevention he got from them.
If his HV goes as well as everything else has, he will pick up Sam from training/boarding on the weekend of July 25/26th so he can go over things with them.Vet reference checked out perfectly. They have kept their prior airedale, Tilly, UTD on all shots, HW tests and used Heartguard Plus for preventative.
Their Cat, Luke Skywalker, (LOL) is also UTD on his shots.
They are good to go for a HV.
I have been friends with her on Facebook for quite a few years and I have only seen good things, comments and posts on her Airedales.
Cheryl and Ernest are experienced Airedale owners and do not have a preference for a male or female dog. They only have a 15 yo cat and the dog they adopt will have to be ok with cats. They only travel once a year, usually, and have taken their dogs with them when they go, so they most likely will not board or have someone watch who they adopt. They live in a very rural area and their street is a dead end and only six houses on their street so it is very quiet and Cheryl is a walker, so the dog they adopt will get plenty of exercise in their fenced backyard or walking. they do live on a limited income, so a dog with no severe health issues would be best for them. Their family is fairly close but no young children.
Both references gave them high praises of being pet owners and have know them for quite awhile. They said they take very good care of their animals and if any issues arise, they are at the vet right away.
They would be a good candidate for Winny after she is spayed and checked out.
I called Jim this morning to follow up on the email we sent them.
They adopted a young female from Sunshine Airedalers last week. We can take them off our list now since they never emailed us back.
I did their app interview, vet and reference checks on 5/2/26. Vet records all great, dogs prior all UTD and HW tests/meds. Personal references raved about Gary and Rene and know how much they love the Airedale breed and have given prior Dales a wonderful home. Nothing bad to say about them whatsoever.
They have had quite a few Airedales and very experienced with the breed, as Ginny also said above in her HV. Gary will be the primary care giver for the dog. They do want a young, prefers a male. I did offer them Sam, but they declined. In the past they have had a few dales that they used for light prey hunting, and this is the part that concerns me a bit. I mean, they know and love the breed well, I wouldn’t hesitate to place a dog with them, with the understanding they would not do any kind of hunting, maybe specify they do classes and fun hunting type competition instead if they adopt one of our dogs.
They will be ready once their son’s new home is done being built, which is about 4-6 weeks maybe.

I met Gary and Rene on 5/27/26 at their home. A very lovely couple. I also got to meet their son, daughter in law and two grandkids, along with their son’s airedale, Boone. Boone is the sibling of the Ingram’s deceased Airedale, Hank, and very much loved by the whole family.
Gary and rene are very active and want to have a younger Dale that they can help mold into a new family member. Their house is lovely and very dog friendly. They have two dog doors that will be used to get outside by a dog. They have a 6 foot chain linked fence. With their past dogs, they have fortified the fence at the bottom so they cannot dig out. The neighborhood where they live is not in a normal neighborhood, it is spread out and more rural. Lots of nice walking areas. Their house is a two story with bedrooms upstairs and the dog will have the whole house once they become accustomed to the behavior of the dog. hand had to be carried upstairs during his late years in life due to health issues. they will do whatever a new dog needs to make sure the dog is well taken care of. They are not quite ready for a new family member yet until their son and family move out to their new home that is being built. they want a dog up to 2 years old. they want to be able to train him/her. they have had multiple Airedales. Gary will be the one that leads the dog with Rene helping as needed. They both understand the breed very well as I can see and feel from talking with them yesterday in their home. I would highly recommend them as adoptees.5/20/26. Spoke with Mr. Nes again. He is ready, his wife is still not. They want a male and even though his application shows age 5-8 they want a 2-4 year old male. Not interested in any of the golden girls.
Update…… back in December when I did their interview, they called me back and said to put them on hold for now. His wife was not ready yet.
Today, 5/6/26, I spoke with Carl, his wife is still not ready for a dog, but he will check our website often and let me know if/when they are interested.
vet reference checked out great. her 14 year old hound mix, holly, is UTD on all shots, uses iverheart and bravecto for HW and flea/tick meds.
Video’s sent to me from Brooke. House is amazing, spotless, and a 2 story. Huge fenced in back yard, chain link, 4 foot.
They will be picking up one of the female pups from the TN 4 on Saturday May 2, 2026. They have a metal crate for her to travel home in and they have a nice larger crate for her to be in at home.
They are very excited!
Sam is not doing well with the Huber’s. We don’t know if they followed through with the continued training with Nicole. She had not heard from them since the month they took him home after she gave them one on one training.
He has some of the same issues going on and has bit Cash, the groomer and his wife again.
