May 29, 2026 at 2:27 pm in reply to: 2026-36 Gary and Rene Ingram, Melbourne Village FL, good fence, ADT Exp, No pets ASSIGNED: Jo #35634
I did their app interview, vet and reference checks on 5/2/26. Vet records all great, dogs prior all UTD and HW tests/meds. Personal references raved about Gary and Rene and know how much they love the Airedale breed and have given prior Dales a wonderful home. Nothing bad to say about them whatsoever.
They have had quite a few Airedales and very experienced with the breed, as Ginny also said above in her HV. Gary will be the primary care giver for the dog. They do want a young, prefers a male. I did offer them Sam, but they declined. In the past they have had a few dales that they used for light prey hunting, and this is the part that concerns me a bit. I mean, they know and love the breed well, I wouldn’t hesitate to place a dog with them, with the understanding they would not do any kind of hunting, maybe specify they do classes and fun hunting type competition instead if they adopt one of our dogs.
They will be ready once their son’s new home is done being built, which is about 4-6 weeks maybe.
May 29, 2026 at 2:15 pm in reply to: 2026-36 Gary and Rene Ingram, Melbourne Village FL, good fence, ADT Exp, No pets ASSIGNED: Jo #35633Ginny williams did the HV on 5/27/26. Her notes as follows:
I met Gary and Rene on 5/27/26 at their home. A very lovely couple. I also got to meet their son, daughter in law and two grandkids, along with their son’s airedale, Boone. Boone is the sibling of the Ingram’s deceased Airedale, Hank, and very much loved by the whole family.
Gary and rene are very active and want to have a younger Dale that they can help mold into a new family member. Their house is lovely and very dog friendly. They have two dog doors that will be used to get outside by a dog. They have a 6 foot chain linked fence. With their past dogs, they have fortified the fence at the bottom so they cannot dig out. The neighborhood where they live is not in a normal neighborhood, it is spread out and more rural. Lots of nice walking areas. Their house is a two story with bedrooms upstairs and the dog will have the whole house once they become accustomed to the behavior of the dog. hand had to be carried upstairs during his late years in life due to health issues. they will do whatever a new dog needs to make sure the dog is well taken care of. They are not quite ready for a new family member yet until their son and family move out to their new home that is being built. they want a dog up to 2 years old. they want to be able to train him/her. they have had multiple Airedales. Gary will be the one that leads the dog with Rene helping as needed. They both understand the breed very well as I can see and feel from talking with them yesterday in their home. I would highly recommend them as adoptees.May 20, 2026 at 6:38 pm in reply to: 2025 Carl and Elizabeth Nes, Atlanta GA, good fence, ADT Exp, No pets, 5-8 yrs preferrred #355785/20/26. April 20, 2026 at 9:08 pm in reply to: 2026-29 Liz White and Andy Bayman, Atlanta GA, good fence, ADT Exp. Assigned: Jo WILL FOSTER BLUE #35224Spoke with Liz on 4/19/26. What a great family vibe I got from her! They have two older kids, only one at home and he is 17. No other dogs, their Airedale, Bear passed in Dec 2025. Huge home, and there is someone there most of the time, Liz and Andy are gone approx 6 hours for work. If not them, they have house staff that are there several times a week that would help and let the dog out in their fenced in yard. They have a pool but no dog door that opens into that area so they are alone around the pool.
They are super active and have another home in NC which when they go, the dog would definitely go with. They have a dog sitter if they do go out of town that is one of their references and that has know them 10 years. She highly recommends them to adopt. They have a couple friends with younger kids that and their daughter has a dog that comes over every so often so they dog would need to get along while another is there visiting and also younger kids. They usually are in the pool.
Vet reference, Bear was UTD and kept up on all shots, was on heartguard and nexguard for HW and flea medication and got all their meds at the vet.
Andy is an attorney and has a big trial and they would like to get approved to adopt and they will be ready around August 1st when it is over.
So, they are good to go for a home visit. I also highly recommend them to adopt an Airedale.
April 9, 2026 at 4:22 pm in reply to: 2026-17 Brooke and David Dinger, Prattville AL, good fence. ADT exp, 1 female dog_adopt TN4 female 5/2026 #35115The Dinger’s are a wonderful dog family. they have a mini doodle, Daisy, and their Dale passed away recently so they would need a dog that is good with others. They don’t have a preference to age or sex, actually, after talking with them.
They have a fenced in yard and both retired. David is retired military and they have been all over the world basically. They are here to stay and ready for the right dog when available.
Vet reference was great! All shots utd, heartwork and flea and tick meds purchased through the vet.Great personal references, also. They are good dog people according to their friends.
They are ready for a home visit.February 24, 2026 at 1:57 pm in reply to: 2026-13 Beth Brumer and John Powell, Gulfport FL, ADT exp, good fence, 1-4 yrs old must get along with other dogs and kids #34964Home visit for:
Beth Bruner and John Powell

Zplanner@ w.comThe home is fairly small… 1 bedroom and 1.5 bath. It has a small galley kitchen behind the living room. The bedroom is off the living room and there is a large plastic crate in the room. It looks like crate that is used by the airlines. The door is off the crate and it is used for the dog’s safe space. If needed, the door can be put back on. The home has 2 additional rooms….mainly an enclosed “Florida room” and a laundry room. The entire house has hard wood floors and the decor is dated but comfortable. The house neat and clean. I would estimate the size of the house to be approximately 1000 square feet. It is in a suburban neighborhood of a beach town but about 2 miles away from the water. There is a nice back porch attached to the home . The entire front and back yard is totally fenced in. There are different fences for different areas. There is a chin link fences that is about 5 feet high a wooden fence that is about 8 feet high. The fences are all intact and appear to be secure. A baby gate is at the front door for the times Beth and John leave the door open. The dog has full run of the home and can go on the furniture. I did ask how she would feel if the dog had an accident in the home and what she would do. She said “I’d clean it up.”
There are children who visit the home at about 4 times a week. They range in age from 2-15.
John and Beth have been married for 54 years. They appear to be very closely bonded. John has been fighting liver cancer for the past 5 years. He will be going into home hospice soon. They very recently lost their Airedale Gracie , who was “the perfect dog.” Beth cried when telling me about Gracie and said they have never been without a dog in 54 years. I asked her how she could cope with a new rescue dog in the house with John going into hospice. She said he would be a big help…not physically but he is a “very smart behaviorist “ and he will help train and get the dog settled. They also have a home in California on 40 acres. They go there every year and drive so the dog comes with them. When John passes away Beth probably will not be making that trip any more. I do not think his passing is imminent. He looked good and not frail.
My gut feelings…. I like Beth a lot. She is a very strong and capable woman who is faced with an uncertain amount of time left to share with her husband. She and John are heartbroken and devastated over the lose of Grace. Placing a dog in this home would be a double rescue….. one for the dog and one for Beth. Beth has the capability, commitment, love , support of family and finances to give a dog an amazing life. At 74 years of age, a puppy would not be advisable. Also, she only wants female. I hope Beth and John get the right dog to once again fill their hearts with love .
