10/06/18: Called Lana Byrd and left VM.
10/08/18: Talked to Lana. She sounds pretty good. We talked about her relinquishing Captain & Chico. I did not tell her that they were put down. I told her that I thought Christina kept in touch with their families.

Hi, I am waiting to hear back from the vet.
We tried rescue Remedy with no relief. We also tried 2 other pharmaceuticals that did not work. The Trazadone has been the best by far.
She does not have separation anxiety but is afraid of thunder and fireworks.
We walk her several miles per day and let her off her leash in the dog park several times a day as well. Prior to moving into the RV, she had free run of the back yard.
You are no bother. I want her to be placed in the best home we can find for her and they need all the information.

Hi, Erin. Thanks for the clarification. To me, each of those bites were provoked and understandable. We would, of course, warn any potential adopter that she has reacted this way so that they can be on guard for triggers. I hope we can find her a home quickly.Jackie Cash | 901-438-5782

The first time was maybe 2 years ago. A friend of ours came to our house and opened the side door to the house unannounced. Livi was barking and lunging over a gate that we had by the door and bit her in the process.
The second time was about a month ago when we moved into the RV Park. The neighbors dog is never on a leash (although its the rule) and Livi was getting aggressive with the dog. The woman came at Livi was a cane to break it up. A few days later, we were walking Livi and again the dog came running out, the lady was close by and she lunged at the lady while barking a bit her side. We have since moved sites because we weren’t having that stress for Livi or us.
Neither bite broke the skin, required medical attention or was reported to the authorities. Livi was quickly redirected and brought under control. She has never tried to bite us or has ever been aggressive with us. She is a sweet girl although troubled at times.
Livi has been on the Trazadone for 5 months and we have seen no side effects. She is less anxious but not cured by any means.
I know that you need to have all of the information to find her a new home. We are heartbroken but just do not know how we can help her. I am sorry for her and that we can’t be her forever home. That really was our intention when we got her.

10/03/18: Called William Grewe, told him we might have an Airedale for them.
Trudy called back and I told her about Rosie/Maggie and a little about Livi. I then sent them long emails about each dog along with photos.
William wrote back that they do not want Livi; they want one that gets along with everyone and does not nip. They think Rosie may be too young for them but they need to think about it and asked for more time to consider her.
10/03/18: JMC spoke to vet’s office – Dawn: She walks by other dogs and she doesn’t act aggressive. She’s great with staff, full of energy and wanting to play. She’s eating well. Skin looks better but she’s still on antibiotics.

10/02/18: Erin Johnson emailed and said they must surrender Livi. They have moved into an RV so they can travel all over. They are stationary right now and they will put Livi out on a tie-out but she hates that and they even have an e fence but she doesn’t respect it and just runs and they spend hours trying to find her. They’re afraid she is going to get HBC or hurt some other way and they can’t keep her safe. Even when they were living in their house, she would bolt out the front door and they would have to chase her down and spend hours looking for her.
She’s an anxious dog – has been since they got her – and they now have her on Trazadone 50 mg 1x/day and that helps. She lunges and barks at people who approach them or their property and would try to bite them. She is good with the children, ages 5 and 7, but too rambunctious for others.
She’ll be 6 in Feb. She’s in good health. They’ll send Release Form and photos and med records.
