Hi Christina, Sorry it is taking so long. We are adjusting to returning to school and returning to school, twice.
We are really enjoying Smokey. He is a bright young pup that we absolutely adore. He is funny and very active. Smokey has a partner in crime with our other pup. Boy, I get up early for them because they make me, but I love it. He belongs. We love him. I will send pics to you on the phone.

Hi Karen, I was curious how Smokey is doing? Is he adjusting well? He was so cute in the transport with Laura’s little girl. H was snuggled next to her during the transport and seemed very happy.

Keeping an eye on the website is the best thing to do. And as I said, we will keep you on our “approved list.”
My last documented contact with you is June 2012.
We do not have the resources to follow up on every adopter that appears to have lost interest or gone another way, or rejected several options offered. All these things happen and we are not always informed.

Thanks Barbara, I appreciate your consideration.
I have asked about the adoption process because I had heard nothing from you about adopting over the last year and a half, and wondered if there was something more we needed to do. I guess you were assuming we weren’t interested. Neither here nor there, the placement of the Airedale is the goal.
We will be in touch should we see another dog on the website that we think would fit in to our lives.
Best Regards,
Nancy and Phil Rokicki

Hi Marti,
Thank you for responding so quickly!! I put in an application with ARG over a year ago when Toby was up for adoption. He stayed with his foster mom I guess. At the time I corresponded with Barbara Lawson, she then thought maybe Murphy would be a fit but not so because he was leery of tall men which we have in my family. Since then I have heard nothing and Teddy and Bo were the first guys I’ve seen lately that interested us. Don’t know what is happening with Teddy but Bo is certainly a sweetheart thanks for the pictures. We have done a home visit in the area for ARG so don’t object to having one ourselves.
As I mentioned in my FB message we are out of town next week 18th thru the 23rd but after that we are “in residence” as they say. I sent Barbara Lawson an e-mail telling her that I had contacted you. If this works out that would be great, but the goal is a great home for Bo!
It is so great that you foster these guys. I have not done that and am afraid if I did we would have a house full of Airedales…which I guess wouldn’t be that bad!
Best Regards,
Nancy Rokicki

Hi Kristie,
Thank you for following up on your Airedale adoption application.
We did receive it on 8/23, last Friday.
It is true we have had a very busy few weeks, but I apologize for not contacting you sooner.
We are a very small group, but have managed to place many Airedales over the last 12 years.
We need to be keep in mind of the age of your child, and the fact you have two small dogs.
Airedales are generally tolerant of both, but it is a consideration in finding the right match.
Please let me know a good time to call you and talk over our process and get an idea of your hopes and expectations, and ours of you in return. I am retired, and can generally be available at your convenience.

I’m not sure why I didn’t see this before but Sherlock looks like a wonderful match for me. I was so excited to see him, he’s 10yrs old (past the puppy stage), well mannered, and 55lbs – easier for me to handle. He’s adorable and reminds me of Reggie. A walking buddy would be awesome. Since I got hit on my bicycle, I’ve been reluctant to get out on the road again. The greenway trail by the lake is a perfect place to walk, run and romp (and I don’t have to load in/out my bike/rack). We could stir up some great fun in the woods. Anyway, would be just the ticket for me to get out everyday and walk/run.
I should mention to you that I am currently preparing to find a better home to move to that has a big yard, more accommodating. Just finishing up with contractors to get my house on market. They are moving fast in my area. Am sort of looking at a historic home or a new brick build, and maybe a fresh-water pool now or in the near future. We’ll see what God provides and where He directs us. My pastors father is a veterinarian, so I have a good doctor in order as well.
Would love to know more about Sherlock.
Thanks!

Hi Jackie,
Sorry I forgot to respond to this. When you called me I was in class and didn’t get out till 12. I called Dr. Martins but he had closed at 12. I am very hesitant about her due to the fighting and because I was really hoping to find a temporary play mate for my dobie and not someone I have to watch very closely and keep separate from my dogs. But I will go see her on Monday as soon as I can and let you know about how I feel her temperament will be with my dogs and if I feel comfortable bringing her home. Sorry that it took so long to get back to you!

I tried to call you around 8:45. Hope you’re just sleeping late today. Wish I could, but my animals won’t let me stay in bed past 6 a.m. Here is the info on Rose, who is at Dr. William Martin’s vet office at 111 E. Northside Dr. ph: 229-247-2133.
They said she was a very stinky girl when she came in, even tho she was bathed at the Shelter and then they have given her a bath also. She will need grooming soon, but they do not do that at the clinic. She is very sweet but doesn’t like cats. At the shelter, she was in a pen with 5 dogs! OMG. They all fought. Then she was put in a pen with a small pit bull; they both did fine.
They will send her home with meds for her ears and on Doxycycline, a pre-treatment antibiotic for her heartworms.
Please go by and see her – you do not have to take her if you feel uncomfortable doing that. If you want to walk away and think about it until Monday and then make a decision, that’s okay. If you want to take her home, we would love that, so she can be in a less stressful situation as soon as possible. We are taking care of all her vet bills, and if you take her and want to get her groomed immediately at a Petco or Petsmart or something, we will of course pay for that as well.
Please let me know what you can do and I really appreciate your consideration. I look forward to hearing from you this morning. (The vet closes at noon.)

Hi Linda,
Thank you for your interest in our latest little girl in ARG care.
Your application came through this afternoon.
We very rarely adopt our of our area, and as you might expect, there has been a lot of interest in this “pocket Airedale.” We will likely place her locally.
I recognized your name from postings on Facebook. And we did receive a nice note from your friend Bobbi Procyk with the FL rescue group.
