Hi, Kathryn. Are you interested in proceeding with a second telephone interview to be considered to adopt an Airedale? If the timing is not good right now, that’s fine. We’ll just hold your application until you’re ready. Just let me know what you’d like to do.
Thank you,
Jackie
BL paid $125.00 via paypal to shelter
Euthanized
BL reimbursed Georgia for her out of pocket expenses.$457.00
BL pd balance via CC $497.00 327
Georgia is having her cremated and wants to absorb that cost.
Candle ordered 3.27.14
3/25/14 Referred to specialty vet, who did further ultrasound.
Decision made to euthanize. Many thanks to Georgia, who had a sad first experience as an ARG volunteer
She asked if she could have her ashes; yes of course.
Mallard Creek Vet on Wednesday. Their number is 704-717-7878
She is under my name Georgia Meyer (Addie Mae) and we are seeing Dr. Hyatt.

BL spoke to Georgia 3/24. All is well. Some posturing on Beau’s part and hers, but did not escalate.
She is feeding them separately, which I encouraged.
Her vet appt is Wed 3/26; she will send me contact information for payment.
She decided to wait for groom until after vet check. She is not up to date on anything.
She purchased new collar, and other items for her. She said the only thing worth keeping was her leash.
I reassured her that if Beau does not want her there, we would make other arrangements.
The Sowers are out of town this week, but she will introduce them all this coming weekend. She says Harper, their welsh, in a terror.
Hi all.
Well…she is HALF Airedale. I think she was mixed with maybe a wire fox? Lots of white and grey on her neck and back. She was not matted–just a couple of pea-sized places on the inside of her back legs. Whatever her skin condition is (maybe food allergy?) is not good. She is chewing at herself. I’m going to get her some grain-free, limited ingredient food today. She is stinky, but I’m holding on the bath until after we have the vet visit–I don’t want to make it worse.
She is eating like she hasn’t seen a meal in a long time. And she looks like she hasn’t. Heartbreaking.
She and Beau are getting along fine. She does not like to potty on her walks–which she is going to have to learn how to do. π She is obedient, but it’s cute…she is testing her limits. That’s the Airedale in her. π But she stops when I tell her to.
She slept in the crate just fine last night, but when I left this morning for a few hours, she was not happy in the crate. Lots of barking, which upset Beau–who was also barking and running around. I’ve asked my dog walker to let me know what the situation is when she comes during the day. I will have to keep Beau in my room and her in her room–but that is not a long term solution for him.
My friend Adam (Beau’s father-in-law) is an amateur photographer. I’ll have him take some pics of her after I have her groomed.
She is a sweetheart. She needs a family to love her to death. She is just an angel.
I’ll keep you posted!

she wrote BL and asked if her daughter’s 6 lb Havanese would be a problem I replied depends on the airedale.
She did not answer “good time to call” question.
Wrote and asked if still interested. They have purchased a labradoodle.
No near HV prospect. BL to do 2nd interview.
email 3/19 asking for good time to call.
Sue T called vet. They do not show Abigail the dog as a client, but the cats are up to date on vaccines.
BL ordered candle 3/17/14

Hi Barbara,
I called the vet office and both Odie and Carly are up to date on their vaccines and use Sentinel and Frontline. So that sounds good….

Adopted Winnie 3/11/14
Jolyn reports handover and transport went smoothly. She and Riley seemed to hit it off.
Handover successful 3/11
Joslyn Bedell reports smoothe handover and good transport. They had their Riley with them and the two took to each other right away and played a little at the last rest stop.
Will have Sue T send contract.
I wrote Karen and said we could not adopt to an applicant who would not commit to HW preventative.
Her reply said she understands we have a contract to abide by, that it is a shame, but she felt certain a dog would find them.
Case closed.
