Hi Sheree,
I am Luna’s foster mom. She is doing great at the farm. She is eating well and hopefully will put on some weight soon. She is good with my girls dogs,
uses the doggie door and likes to be outside when it is not too hot. Otherwise prefers the air conditioning. She is good on the leash and in the car.
As an older dog she is very grateful for any love you share with her. She like to have a soft bed or mats to lie on. She likes to ‘make’ her bed.
She is good in the crate. Her health issues include a stiff back. She is also incontinent and that is helped by a pill at each meal. She is very good
in the house and will use the dog door. However, if she is frightened like being yelled at she can squat down and pee. With older dogs you
sometimes have to have allowances for errors. When I go out to work I put her in the bathroom with mats and she is good for most of the day.
She can not go 12 hours however.
She really appreciates meal time and will get very excited to have a meal. She is on 2 cups am and pm to put on some more weight.
She is of course spayed and had three masses taken off her at the vets. None were cancer.
Luna is just a sweet old girl looking for a better life. She is very grateful for meals, a yard and a few pets. She really doesn’t ask for much
more than that. She is good with dogs, cats and kids.
Thanks for asking about her. Please let me know if you are interested we were waiting for a complete application from your. You can
complete one at http://www.airedalrescuegroup.com. Thanks again for asking about Luna Lovegood!!!

Joan home visited them and reports:
Hi Jackie,
I had a nice home visit with the Kjeldsen family on Tuesday night. They live in a very nice neighborhood on a cul-d-sac with a 5-6 foot wooden fence in the back yard. Their children were delightful and very well behaved with their Welsh terrier, Daisy. Daisy is a very sweet dog, very healthy and well groomed. She is very much a high energy terrier!
I can recommend this family for adoption with the idea of placing an Airedale that has been small dog tested and kid tested. They took Daisy to training and feel sure they would send this dog to training.
The only thing I saw that was a little different for me, is that they do not allow the dogs upstairs and both dogs would be sleeping in the laundry room. Certainly is not a deal breaker, but just different from our family.
Let me know if you need any other information.
I’ve moved them to Approved.

As of today we’re going to be all wireless – no more landline. I’m still at 270.559.9814 and Marjorie is still 270.559.5080, but the other number will be no more.
You are looking at my beloved Hardwerken Pure Pixilation UD, AX, AXJ some other titles and certified therapy dog, or Pixi. Her mother was a German import. Her sire was about 2/3 German. The breeder had a few litters and stopped breeding so there’s no direct link in the states to relatives. I do have a young male out of two German imports who is as close as I could get to her genetically (lots of common ancestors) but the females in his litter don’t look too much like Pixi. But all in all, I think you are liking the German “look”. I am partial to them because of their strong working heritage and I want a dog to do agility and obedience. They tend to look a little more like the hunting dogs they originally were–longer legs, not as square, usually don’t have the abundant leg furnishings. They do usually come, however, with high drive (at least the ones I look for) and may not be the best lines for a dog who is to be predominantly a quiet house pet.
Sorry I can’t steer you to the exact place! I would have cloned her if I could, although by American conformation standards she doesn’t stack up at all–but beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
