Spoke with husband this afternoon. He had an accent and I had a very hard time understanding him. I asked him about the vet and he gave me the same name as listed. I explained that they had no record of service since 2008. He told me they got a 3 years rabies shot.I then went over our policy of vacc. our dogs as well as heart worm prevention. He said they give the dog heart worm preventative.
I told him the next step would be someone contacting them for a home visit.
Did vet check on her this morning-Not a good reference. Vet has not seen daschund since 2008 and that was for 2 vaccines. Am taking this one for BL and will send out welcome email.
Spoke with Kathleen this morning. Absolutely loved her! She is building a new house that she has a closing day on Nov. 1 as of now. She had a great dane and said the bigger the better the dog for her. She told me about her yorkie being killed when she lived in Arkansas by a pit bull. She said it was horrible. She is working right now from lunch until evenings but plans on leaving the dog at doggie daycare while at work. She has already been checking into a daycare close to her home. We may want to hold off on a home visit until she has finished her new home since this is where she plans on having the dog.

August 5, 2011 at 12:29 am in reply to: Private: Todd was Albus from Charlotte Humane Society from Mecklenbergy County Shelter #12229Todd has some separation issues. He is very attached to me. It’s lovely when I am working and he wants to lie near me. When I go to kitchen, he follows. He really likes to be close.
When I leave the house, Jeff says that he cries.
When I crated him lst night and we all went to bed, he was in living room crate again. Jake was in LR couch. Tuna was in back of house with m e. Todd sings. Complete singing, whining, etc. I eventually put him in the hallway where he could see me in the bed but he was separate from Tuna.
This AM, he crated when we went to the Y and I think he was ok. I went back to take a shower and left him in crate and I could hear him crying from the shower. By the time I came out, probably 15 minutes, he had pushed the tray about 1/4 out of the crate and the crate is bent a little. I did not show Jeff or he’ll have a cow!
So, nothing alarming but this would go with Laree’s comments that he would get out of her crate/run in her basement at the house. Bay – can you explain the set up of that? Was it open? Laree was afraid to allow him outside in her fence by himself for fear of getting out.(Laruee had a 4 foot chain link fence with open top in basement. Laree said he jumped out of the top in a storm. I think he would prefer to be with people and will jump out to do that. Had a door but was jumpable.)
