6.17.17 Kristi texted me 6.6.17 that she had to return Charlie because, although he is a good dog, he is too much work for them. Jackie contacted Stew and he picked up Charlie that afternoon. Kristi was upset and sent food, treats, toys, and a beautiful bed. I had planned to write her and thank her for her gifts and send her a picture of Charlie at Stew’s. But she contacted Stew instead of me to ask about Charlie, so I simply wrote her and thanked her for the gifts and that we appreciated her putting Charlie’s needs first.
5.23.17 I offered Charlie to Kristi and she said yes. She can drive toward him on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
5.22.17 Kristi and I have emailed several times – she asked about Crew and I told her he’d been adopted by his foster family. She said Crew and the thought of adopting him took her by storm, and I told her I understood. I told her about our incoming 6 year old boy Noah and 3 year old Ms. Jazzy. Noah is older than she wants and after reading Cindy Green’s notes about Jazzy, I talked with Jackie and we both agreed she wouldn’t work for Kristi. Training Jazzy will be more work than training an unformed punster. But Kristi will make a good mom for us. Her work schedule is better than I thought – she works 11-5 on only Tuesday and Thursday. Her son is 13. The entire family committed to Rocket Man, who was a biter. We just have to wait for the right dog. She has looked at dogs online — all-breed rescue sites — but still wants an Airedale. I told her we would watch for her but to also let us know if she adopts elsewhere.
My husband Kevin and I have only been married since April. I don’t remember ever talking to anyone about getting a dog from you, if I did I apologize for not calling you back. I was in a bad car accident in December. But I’m completely healed now and doing well. I honestly don’t remember talking to anyone about home visit. I did receive the information on the female dog your retiring and as much as I want a dog we can’t afford her right now.
Thanks for responding to our inquiry.

7/28 Cynthia Scott called.
Clyde badly injured a small dog at doggie day care over the weekend. The dog survived but barely.
Two weeks ago he had attacked one of their neighbor’s dog and tore his ear. I don’t think she told us that.
He is being boarded, separated, in a large crate tonight.
I told her I would consult w/ the other board members, but if the conclusion is he is to be put down, would she be willing to take him to her vet? She said she didn’t know if she could, would think about it.
BL talked to CP. Euthanasia is decided. BL called Cynthia, She and Mark will take him to their vet tomorrow if they can get in (they have a favorite vet tech there) and they will call me for CC information for payment.

Well, she & I both decided not to go thru with it. I’m sorry. I forgot to let you know. Izzy was used to the country life & she didn’t feel a patio would contain her needs & I was getting stressed by her issues with vet care. I think she would’ve been fine as I have always run my dogs at parks and thru neighborhoods but if the dog was allowed to run free off lead in country, I can see where city life could be an issue. Mine were raised as pups with our lifestyle. We have never really used our backyard at old houses & were not fenced in. My current place is and the size of a 1-1/2 stall garage with tall white fencing. She suggested an older dale. Or wait until I move & get a pup. My house is huge as is the field behind me. I respect that she knows Izzy & how she would react. Too bad. Am starting to get a complex here. LOL. God knows when the time is right & which dog. My house is ready with everything. The exterminator was all excited asking where my dog was. LOL. Oh well.
Any news on the rescue front?

She called about Tatum. I told her all that we know.
She is also in touch with a breeder in Georgia who knows of a retiring bitch 3 years old, not his dog, but he knows the bloodlines. The woman is totally all holistic, and Michelle seemed intimidated by her. I urged her to pursue this and not to be intimidated; once you purchase the dog, it is yours to do as you see fit. That is the same thing her friend told her.
She said she would keep me posted, and to please tell her how Tatum is doing.
