july 30, Mrs Error called my cell, i was at work where i have to walk across the floor, outside to a porch to receive cell reception. she was calling about Ellie Mae and she wanted Ellie instead of Lucy Z due to size.I explained to her then that there was a delay due to computer issues and vacations. I remember that at least 6 times she said so all i need to do is WAIT? I explained yes, WAIT because of delays. there was nothign she could due to speed up the process. All she had to do was WAIT. Yes, you only can wait. She wanted to call BL at home and I said that it would not be wise because BL did no t have a computer and no reference to application plus she was going on a vacation. So Mrs Error said then all I can do is WAIT? Yes, I explained all she could do was WAIT. Yes, we repeated scenarios over and over for the concept of WAIT but it look like they did not understand that I explained to WAIT and they bought a puppy.

Joe, I am sorry about your father in law illness. I hope that things settle down for you all but of course with a puppy – there is no settling!

When I spoke to your wife on the phone on July 30, I had explained that our normal applicant volunteer was experiencing computer problems followed by a planned family vacation. She returned yesterday from her vacation. I had explained that i had a planned vacation as well last week. So, yes, we’re very delayed in our applicant care. We’re a two -woman show! I will call you this week one night, after 7pm.

        Hello Christina,

Since we haven’t heard from anyone for so long we sort of gave up on your organization. Friday, we purchased a new pup. At this juncture, between training the new pup and my wife’s elderly father’s health issues, we have our hands full. We are presently running back and forth between Tennessee and Chicago. Had we known Friday that my wife’s father was going to have a setback, we probably would of held off on this purchase. Hopefully this situation will change for the better in the near future. As a result however, I don’t think we should take on a second dog at this time.

A month or two down the road however, I think we would again be interested. I assure you, there is not a better home anywhere on Earth than we what we provide. We would also like to help a rescue dog.

We would still like to talk to you. Feel free to call anytime you wish. After 7pm. Is just right.

I spoke to Lisa and their computer shows the last rabies shot was given in 2011, and that they have gotten medications in the last 3 months, and they had a surgery in June, 2012. She wasn’t too receptive about giving out names of their pets and the information that I just gave to you was all they were willing to tell me so I’m sure if you feel comfortable with them you could bring up what the vet office said to see if it makes sense to you and them….

          Thanks

          Sue

Hi, I spoke to Julie at their vets office and got a good report. They said that Sayde is well taken of and gets regular check ups and is current on shots, etc. so that sounds good.

I spoke to Jill at the local hospital, not the one in Ohio, and they said that he has had all his animals in for regular visits and shots, etc. So it sounds good from the vet’s end.

              Thanks

I sent to Sue on 8/12 to check vets. I think treat this guy as an applicant. He has great inentions and would be helpful in that area.

CP is moving on. It looks like they did not respond to BL for an interview.

I will move to moved on neutral. Does not seem like stellar applicants and not pursued after initial connection.

Cullman, AL is north of Birmingham on the interstate going to Huntsville, AL so it is a great location. It is closer to Decatur, AL. Also near Hartselle, Al and somewhat close to Jasper, AL but not really a good location to have a volunteer to do a hv so I will call again and see if still interested.

she said he was very willing to do HV, Transort. She thought he was nice man and he wanted to adopt when the yard was fenced.

                                Christina, Hello!

Yes, we are up for a home visit. We are still interested in adopting another Airedale, but are in the middle of some job transitions, so we’re not able to adopt for a few months. Once we get used to our new schedule, we’ll be able to adopt. However, if we could still have a home visit so we’re qualified to adopt when the time is right, we’d like to do that.

I spoke with Lee today 8/12/2012 and she started out by talking about her previous dogs, both were smooth fox terriers. Her last one, Gracy who died about 3 weeks ago was not typical – she was not a hyper terrier. Lee does the care taking of the dog but the entire family is involved and must be in agreement about the dog. Their son is starting high school this fall and he is interested in a bigger dog. Lee said that although he will only be living with them full time for the next 4 years, she takes into consideration his desire for a bigger dog but also that he is going into high school and will be going to college. They have a fenced in yard with a dog door. Their household is very friendly with neighbors and they have friends over with smaller kids for dinner. They need a family friendly dog. They go on a family walk every night – dog and husband/wife. Sometimes her son will go with them. They are leash walkers. Her husband is a jogger and in the past, the smooth fox terriers had run wtih him. She exercise walks 3X week and the dog could do that with her as well. She said that if the running did not suit the dog, it was not a requirement. Lee is home most of the day. She is taking a year off from teaching pre school.. She has a flexible schedule that involves volunteering and caring for her elderly mother. Their older dogs had run of the house and they quit using a crate after Gracie aged.

Lee said one thing is they are not strict disciplinarians. They don’t have a chewed up home but she said they let everyone live kinda without harm. I used the example that Tuna had stolen a stick of butter today and it taught me a lesson and luckily it was not a fatal lesson but i did not get mad about it. She said they’re kinda that way.

They have applied with the fox terrier group. She said they are open to a shelter dog. She has not gone to the shelter because she knows she would come home with a dog. I suggested instead of a shelter to work with a local rescue group that pulls the ‘cream of the crop’ shelter dogs instead of going directly to shelter if she went that route – just because it would screen out some of that emotion. lana & wendy will HV. I sent lana the application info; a copy of the HV check list and an intro note to both of them.
