He keeps breaking the chain and hunting season is starting up and she is afraid he will get shot. He cannot come in the house because he lifts his leg and is not housebroke. They have no way of containing him, no crate, no pen, no nothin’.
There are two vets in the area, neither do boarding.
I told her we would keep trying to find a foster home for him.
There is no thread for him on BB, and I almost forgot until I got the paper surrender form in the mail yesterday.
BL heard from Amy on 10/20ish
She initially said she would keep him until good home was found. Now she wants him out. She keeps saying she is afraid he will break the chain again and since hunting season is starting, he will get shot in the woods.
I do not think she would be willing/able to transport any distance. Possibly to somewhere like Huntsville if we had someone there to collect him.
He is only two years old.

Subject: First Update on Rose in her New Home
I spoke to Tom a little while ago and he said that his trip home with Rose was easy and went smooth as silk. She met his 2 ‘dales, 13-1/2 year old Murphy and 10-1/2 year old Dolly with no problems and slept well overnight. Dolly has given a couple of warning growls, but nothing more and he says Rosie is playful and happy. Tom and Margaret are very happy and believe they all will be fine. I told him to expect a dust-up in the next few weeks as Rose gets comfortable and comes into her own, but he is undaunted. I offered the services of Gale Ford but he thinks they’ll simply use their vet. I told him to let us know what his vet says about Rose’s HW treatment.
Way to go, Christina, for setting up such a great transport.
Kaye, thank you so much for your help and Tom said to say hello!

Robyn, sorry about the confusion yesterday…..you did everything exactly right but I was reading emAils in the wrong order so I did not know about Reds paperwork. Red does not appear to be a purebred Airedale, is that correct?
Our group cannot take in non purebred Airedales. However, let me talk to a friend in Knoxville who may have a great solution for Red!

I haven’t heard from him. I’ll call. BTW, I got a voice mail from the vets office in Valdosta saying Rose had her bath and with 7 days boarding, the charge was $65. They just wanted me to call and let them know it was ok to run the charge. I called and thanked them and told them their rates were incredible.

Subject: Rose Transport Valdosta-Tifton-Macon-Conley Atlanta-Asheville on 10/11/13
Hi Cheryl, Jane, Kathi and Tom
Thank you so much to each of you for helping out with Rose on Saturday 10/11/13. I appreciate your help to get Rose from Valdosta to Asheville. She has a long trip tomorrow! She is going up the entire state of GA – what a transport and it would not be possible without each of you. I’ve attached the schedule for your trip, detailing each spot with exits and contact information. If you end up getting early or delayed on your trip, just let the person ahead of you know (and me too!). I will notify everyone and adjust time table accordingly.
I always need to stress the safety of each of you and Rose during the transport. Rose will be with folks that she does not know so always keep yourself aware and alert when you are with Rose. Even a plastic bag in the wind could startle her and cause her to react differently. I like to stress that when you open the car door, to have a hand on her leash since she may be ready to jump out before you are ready!
She will be wearing a collar and she will have identification
Here is the transport detail. If I have selected an area that is no good (I don’t know the area), please tell me and I’ll adjust the meeting place. You all know best as you’re ‘local’.
