Sherry, thanks for letting me know about your husbands feelings righ now. I’ll tell you what, you are an approved home and if an Airedale that comes about that seems like a match, I will notify you. You can take your husbands temperature at that time 🙂
We do not have any available dogs right now. Do not even think you need to apologize! Airedale people like to meet one another.

Hi Christina,
I had a great visit with Valerie today; It is so wonderful to meet and greet another Dale lover! That’s the good news. The bad news is that after the visit my husband, Jim, said he’s just not ready yet to get another dog. (when I say dog, there is only one breed!) I’m really disappointed and so sorry that I’ve wasted your time and Valerie’s as well. Hopefully, when Jim is ready, we will be one step along in the process. I am so looking forward to having another boy/girl around the house. It just makes it a home. Again, I apologize.

Hi Valerie and Sherry
I wanted to introduce you two as you are both Airedale lovers and live in Charleston. Valerie is an ARG adopter and she owns Winnie. Sherry has applied to adopt an ARG Airedale and we think they would make a fabulous home for one of our Aires.
I apologize for the delayed start of the home visit process. With the holidays and having my foster on hand, I have less time in my days.
Please talk amongst yourselves on a good time to HOme Visit. Thanks

12/12/13 I asked Valerie perry to HV
Valerie has met them before when they walked MacDuff. Valerie works 2 blocks from where they live. Just throwing an idea out but if Ed does not adopt Woody, this might be a good home for Woody,

Hey, ya, she has ruined my outside kennel and has peeled back metal to escape the one in the house, which was why I started putting her in the kitchen with the little dogs and Allie. She was only too happy to destroy everything she could get paws on and clear the cabinets daily and then….
I’m not sure what to say about the children thing, I’ll just tell you what I observed at my house. High pitched sounds drove her nuts, either from little dogs or little children. Adult laughter stirred her up tremendously. For example, I would be in my room and everyone would be settled in and Aubrey and Gabby had the nerve to play which produced both adult laughter and high pitched squeals. First she would whine and growl, then she would jump out of her bed to go see what was happening. It was an ears forward, tail up, high stepping kind of posture that I equate with an intense reaction. Aubrey always felt that Lucy was after harming Gabby. I did not. Dogs ears are very sensitive and those sounds actually are painful to them. Older kids that would play tug of war with her or wrestle with her…..I’m a little more comfortable with that. Still, she never seemed to know her own strength.
By the way, she doesn’t get the difference between TV and real life either.

Sorry, I thought I put our vet’s info in the application. They took care of Mac from the time he was about 2 until his death. We also took him to Bees Ferry Vet clinic for acupuncture for his arthritis: 3422 Shelby Ray Ct. | Charleston, SC 29414 | 843.769.6784
Thank you for sending the photos of Lucy. She looks like such a sweet girl, but I don’t think she would be right for us. I understand needy dogs…have a friend who has a rescue golden that is very needy, & frankly that dog drives me crazy. I adore my dogs but I don’t want them under my feet all the time. Please forgive, but this is too important a decision (a new family member) not to be totally honest. If you need some help, I would be happy to foster her until the end of December. We are visiting friends for a week in Jan & would not be able to take her. We are also leaving for 2 weeks in Feb/early March for a family wedding…we never go anywhere & when you call I have all this!!!
Please, please, please do not take me off your list. Sherry

Hi Sherry, you and I have talked in the past and is know you’ve been a volunteer to help with ARG over the years. I was happy to see your application come in. Can you send me the name of the veterinarian who you have used in the past. Also when is a good time to contact you for a phone interview?
