October 27, 2023 at 7:06 pm in reply to: Jackson, fka Togo, 1 yo Intact Male, Adopted Julie Schnecker #31106We have had Togo (now known as Jackson) for going on 3 years (it will be 3 years on Jan 1). We have an almost 9 year old Airedale named Buddy too. Jackson is so precious and sweet but his anxiety is absolutely through the roof. He’s on two meds for it, but he is in a constant state of vigilance and is terrified of my husband (who we think probably looks like his abusive former owner – from what we’ve determined on facebook). He never really fully relaxes (even when my husband is not around). He has been a little aggressive too (no biting, just a lot of posturing) with young adults who come into our home. So we have our hands full. I have wanted to update you guys about this. I know it takes such a long time for adjustment but he is still not there. We just adore him though and I think it’s best to just be patient and work around his needs. Open to suggestions from you guys too though. We’ve had a trainer work with him some too.
Jackson adores Buddy and sticks to him like glue. I don’t know what we’ll do when Buddy goes. Ugh. Jackson also loves his daycare/playcare, so we take the boys there a couple of times a week.

Background
Rod is a pastor, lived in Ohio. had a farm and lots of space. Had her since she was 6 mos. Now in Charleston. In transition, moving right now.(he was driving from SC to Ohio, trailering back and forth). They are renting a house where they cannot have her. Does not have to be ‘tomorrow’/end of month – they are going to make it work, she deserves to be in a familyGinger:
not a puller – walks well on a leash
picky about which dogs she likes and does not like
he has a GSP – gets a long with. Male.
Dog belonged to a German Wire Haired. Female
Maybe its the female thing? But she has been around smaller female dogs and no aggression.
When he says aggression – he has it but it is not really bad – never big a dog, no puncture wounds ever
Exposure to horses and cows.
Lived on a farm in Kentucky when she was 6 mos – ran free on farm.
Kids – ‘grandkids’ 2 year old and 6 year old – she play bites, mouthy but never hurt. She can be rambunctious when playing.October 26, 2023 at 5:24 pm in reply to: 2023 Miller, David and Gleeson, Anne, New Bern NC, e-fence, ADT Exp, 1 ADT adopted LynAire ‘dale in 10/2023 #3108310/2023
Linda Jarvis called me to let me know that she placed a male ‘dale with David and Anne in New Bern. Linda had a blind male ‘dale (and blind female) from a recent litter. She named him Stevie for Stevie wonder. Linda worked with a trainer to help Stevie – he is very confident. Within a weekend, Stevie had mastered the steps at Anne and David’s home. THe only hold out was their current dog was not a huge fan of Stevie. Linda asked them to make a donation to ARG for Stevie – she is not charging them for her dog due to the blindness. Linda took the male and female to Dr English in Raleigh who is a top eye doctor and there was nothing to be done to fix the blindness it occurred in development. Linda is not breeding either the male, female of this incident and puppies are all in homes.October 26, 2023 at 5:20 pm in reply to: 2023 Ted Bizjack, SC, ADT Exp, Townhome Myrtle Beach, SC adopted SOAR ‘dale 10/2023 #31082Ted adopting from SOAR 10/23
