I forgot to mention. If you would like to drop my phone number to your foster
here in mars hill in case they ever need a dog sitter or just somebody to get
there dog out for a walk I am a pretty active hiker, or a playdate. I would be
more than willing! Thanks
He is being groomed at The Farm on Fri. Their number is 615-662-6628 I am just sick to my stomach about this! While Paul and the boys went out today I was working with Murphy and you could tell he was apprehensive about when that guy was going to return…:( my hope is another situation will be just what he needs…such a sweetie!
Lori Law and husband will pick up. They will foster if she is house trained. If she is not, or if she causes any trouble then they will take her to a kennel. Lori is in Prattville, AL

When ARG first met Maddie, she has been in mourning. Her owner died and she was sad and grieving. She had other Airedale siblings and she was not happy. Maddie even has tear stains around her eyes because of her crying. ARG took Maddie into our care and happier days are ahead for this sweet girl. Fast forward to about 4-6 weeks in a loving foster home and Maddie is a different girl! Some extra attention to her medical care, a loving and positive environment and Maddie is a terrific lady.
She’s waggy and loving. She’ll practically push you over for petting. She comes when she’s called, she crates easily, gets into the tub for a bath easily, has good house manners, gets along with her foster brothers and ignores the cats too. She loves to be pampered with brushing. She is a wiggle girl of love.
Maddie is 8 years old. When she came into ARG, Maddie weighed 85lb and needed to go on a diet to lose at least 10 – 15 lbs! After her initial vet exam, the veterinarian identified her to have a thyroid issue, which is very common among Airedales. The veterinarian prescribed an inexpensive thyroid medicine that she takes daily. This has helped Maddie in so many ways! Maddie is feeling happier and she is losing lbs! She is developing a waist line. Her fur is looking healthier too. Maddie had a re-check on her thyroid and her blood work is in the normal range – her thyroid levels are where it should be. She is up to date on her shots, spayed, microchipped and heartworm negative.
Maddie has lived with other dogs and even cats. She would get along in any house where the rules are strictly enforced. She seems perfectly amenable to obeying the rules. If you don’t make her behave, then Maddie will determine where her boundaries are (as any dog will do).
Had hook worms. Needs to take HW pill that covers hooks. Sent message to Coles if they had any HW pills or I’d call one in to their vet.
Kristen will take Airedale boy to the kennel/vet in town of Brent. They give good rescue discounts. I am working with her to make arrangements but eventually today the cc# needs to be called in.
I told her we wanted neuter, UTD on all shots, fecal, HW test, MICROCHIP and bordatella. We also need age estimate.
She said that this dog was picked up as a stray which means someone probably called and did not want their dog anymore
She said he is friendly but I”ve asked more details – how does he seem with other dogs.
I told her we would call the dog Bates.
I have a friend (former NHL player) in Raleigh named Bates. To this day, everytime I am around Bates, he asks about Rosie because Rosie really hated him and he knew it!
Maddie continues to improve. She just had her follow up vet check with Dr Beth. She has lost six pounds! The blood work shows her dosage of meds is correct (7 mg twice daily) and working. I have ordered another supply. I will fax the bills to Barbara.
Maddie isn’t too happy with me right now because she has limited time outdoors. It’s simply too hot for any of them to go out for long periods. We need rain desperately! She likes to wallow in the dirt and consequently that dusty dirt comes off in the house in a fine coating all over everything she’s like a great powder puff! That’s the worst thing about this dog (wish I could say that about my own). She’s waggy and loving. She’ll practically push me over for petting. She comes when she’s called, she crates easily, gets into the tub for a bath easily, has good house manners, gets along with my silly boys and ignores the cats too. I have to wonder if her past behavior wasn’t a result of her thyroid issue. Her appetite is normal for her size and of course the heat. I recently changed my crew to Fromm and they love it! I think the teary eyes were a result of a mild eye irritation. I’ve used some ointment and it seems to have cleared the goopy eye thing. I have a friend who is a groomer I will ask her what to do to remove those stains. (I would love to get a new photo.) She has also offered to groom Maddie before she goes to her new home.
What can I say, another wonderful Airedale girl just looking for forever love.

Here are some new pictures of Alistar. He is always happy, loves to ride in the car and he is housebroken. A family brought him home for 3 days but the mom was super allergic. They cried when they brought him back. The family said he is wonderful in the home and he is housebroken. He gets along with children, all dogs and cats. He is always a very happy boy. This is one great dog. Thanks
new contact: catkeeper1031@aol.com he is in Marietta, Ga.

Lamb now Lilly, adopted by Patricia Garratt in Bluffton.
At Animal Hospital of North Asheville on Saturday June 30 Ollie was 56 lbs. He received a frontline. He NEEDS a hw pill. I will ask Coles to give him HW pill. He received fecal, hw test, microchip, bordatella. He had rabies and dhlapp earlier in the week. He did very well at vet and took treats nicely from vet.
Plays well with other dogs
Picked up on one dog who is not well – buck shot mastiff – and stayed away from her
continues to want to go and play in creek
Chandra said that he loves water. He wants to go swimming in her creek. He seems fine with her cats and it was reported that he loves cats. She heard that the couple who had him were young. THey got a job in Charlotte, NC. They signed the lease and there were certain dogs that were forbidden but not Airedale. When they got to the apartment, the landlord said Airedales were forbidden. Owner was friends with the director of Jackson County Humane Society and she surrendered Ollie to them. Apparently she was in tears and Josh really could not understand anything she was saying. She was very upset to have to surrender Ollie.
I asked Marti to help – she cannot because she has a young puppy. Bill & Jane Cole in Waynesville will help with transport. LuAnn Bryan will foster on Sunday!
Also asked Holly who adopted Gravy/Abraham and Debbie Powell and her son Brandon Powell – all who said they would foster
