This guy I think is a piece of work. Like Diane should just wait around for him to decide? He could have at the least responded that he had some scheduling difficulties vs just letting everything hand. Ugh! People!!!!

Feel that they need to respect his feelings. They had so hoped to be able to bring Sam into their home. Susan told them all is understood and to reach out to ARG when they are ready. January 12, 2024 at 4:55 pm in reply to: 2023 Hrenko Karl, Lilburn GA, Good fence, ADT exp, 1 dog (Pug 16 yrs old), 0-2 hrs alone #31568HOME EVALUATION FORM
To the Home Evaluator: This form can be used when doing a home visit to evaluate a potential family for a rescued Airedale. Adoption or foster applicants you are visiting have already met preliminary criteria by having their Adoption Application accepted and have passed the telephone interview.
When doing a home visit, please attempt to get as much information as asked for on this form. Ask questions, where appropriate, and get as many details as you can about the home environment. Some of the questions on this form may not apply to a particular home so use your own judgment.
If possible, bring a friend or another rescue volunteer with you on the home visit. This helps both for the purpose of having another pair of eyes and ears to assist you in making a complete evaluation and for your own personal safety.

Mr. Hrenko is an Airedale lover! Just adorable! He terribly misses his dog who past away in September and is ready for another one. Already bought an apple tag to put on a collar! He is well versed in Airedales- eating, training, vet care, grooming, exercise etc. His daughter was there too and she is so excited to bring another Airedale back into the family. Additional Suggestions To The Home Evaluator:
• If you need to take notes during the visit, please do so discreetly on a small note pad, rather than on this form. It is preferred to have the applicants feel at ease with you and to be themselves. Complete this form after the visit is over, when you are not in the presence of the applicants.
• Qualities to note are sincerity, commitment, tolerance of normal animal behavior, honest representation of the home environment, children’s behavior with other pets, and expected role of the children in pet care. Obtain explanations about the absence of any family members during the visit. Feel free to ask leading questions to begin productive conversation. Often good conversation will reveal far more than questions.
• Do not make any promises to the applicants or indicate whether or not they will be approved to adopt or foster. Please refrain from discussing any particular animal presently in rescue that may become available for adoption.

Yes, no worries and thank you so much!!!
I have attached for you their application, my notes from the phone interview and the blank Home Evaluation form. The Home Eval. Form just provides you with a guideline as not everything on it is applicable to all situations. I have yet to talk with the 2nd personal reference & their Vet. When I do I will forward those notes to you as well.
I will introduce you to the family via a shared email. Then…the ball is in your court. Schedule the HV when it’s convenient for everyone…I know Jenny said weekends would be better as her husband sometimes travels for work. We ask that everyone living in the home be present when you do your visit. I will remind them of this in the shared email. Feel free to take your ‘dale with you. Sometimes that provides valuable insight as to how the folks interact with the dog. The $64,000.00 question you want to be able to answer with a “yes” is: Would you feel comfortable leaving your ‘dale with these folks?
After you’ve completed the Home Visit you can give me a call & let me know what you think, you can send me the Home Eval. Form with any notes you made or you can just send me a plain old email!! Whatever works easiest for you.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions/concerns. Look for the shared introductory email to follow shortly. And again, many thanks! Here is their contact information: Jenny said text or phone call is best way to reach her.

Airedale Rescue Group is starting off 2024 with a bang! I have a family in Lilburn, GA that is in need of a home visit. Would you be able to help us out? He is retired so it would be a bit easier to schedule perhaps than if you had to work around many work schedules.
As you know, ARG relies on our network of Airedale lovers to help us place our ‘dales. Please let me know if you are able to help us. I anxiously await your reply and thank you in advance for your consideration.Warmest regards,

Please find attached the application for this family, my phone interview notes and a blank home evaluation form. Regarding the evaluation form…use it as a guide as not everything on it is applicable to every situation.
I will send you and the Cook family a shared email “introducing” you to each other. I will remind them that ARG would like everyone living in the home to be present at the time of the Home Visit. I will also tell them that you may opt to bring Luke with you…that’s your call. When you contact them, set up a time that is convenient for you. Once you’ve completed the Home Visit you may call me or email me with your thoughts. The bottom line question ARG wants to be able to answer with a resounding YES! Is: Would you feel comfortable leaving your Luke with these folks?
If I remember correctly, they were going to be out of town through today.
As I said, if you have any questions and/or concerns Shelia, please reach out to me. I thank you for your help and anxiously await hearing how everything went!
Introductory shared email to follow shortly.
