1-865-609-031101/14/19: JMC spoke to Deanna at Vol Vet and he’s doing fine. Eating well but tipping his food bowl over – just typical Airedale puppy play. Told her we plan to move him either Friday or Saturday, the 18th or 19th.
01/13/19 From Susan Zoller:
Jade wasn’t aggressive to Oliver at all. She might not like other dogs on walks, but was very patient with him. They picked Jade up this afternoon. I used some Composure my integrative vet gave us for Oliver when he gets overly hyper. It helps calm him. Think it’s herbal? Anyhow, don’t know about children. Other than barking, she really was very easy. With the composure, she slept from 12 to 7 w/o barking. When she got up this am, she started again. Scherazade said she does not do this at home. I rubbed her head and massaged her back, and it helped. She is very strong, still gentle. Oliver tried to get her to play with him. He’s fast and she just watched him zoom around and around the yard.
Jade will love being with someone who is affectionate and kind to her. She became attached to me while here for 3 days.
I decided to let Scherazade to take care of Jade’s transition to you. If there is something I can do to help, I will. Perhaps she will be able to calm down at her home. I know that getting her to you / ARG is a big relief for me, to know someone who truly wants her will be her new family.01/12/19 from JMC to Scheherazade:
Scheherazade, Thank you for sending in the Release. Has Jade been around small children ever? Neighbors, relatives? If so, how was she? She’s doing fine with Ollie, Susan’s dog, but you say she is dominant to other animals. Did you tell me that you had another animal previously with Jade? How does she exhibit that dominance? Does she growl if someone/a dog is close to her food? Her toys?Everything you can tell us will make it easier to place her with the right family.

01/10/19 from Lindsey:
No heart worms. He does have free roam of the house when we are home. He will sneak food off the counter if its left out. Lol. He is left outside when we aren’t home unless the weather is bad and then we will crate him. I think he would do fine with either of those dogs as long as they were not aggressive. When I took him to the vet he wanted to be everyone’s buddy (people and dogs) so I am thinking alot of his problem is territorial.Sent from my Verizon, Samsung Galaxy smartphone

Subject: Re: ChiefThanks, Lindsey. He didn’t have heart worms, right?
Does he have free roam of the house when you’re home? Is he always crated when no one is home? How do you think he’d do with a small dog, like a Jack Russell, or an older female Airedale?
We’re evaluating our approved folks. Some are gone 6-8 hr a day.
Thanks, Lindsey.

January 9, 2019 at 3:32 pm in reply to: Private: Webster, fka George, 4-y-o, Training w Cindy Green #2193701/09/19: Meredith Liemohn called jmc this morning and said they must give up Webster. He is just too strong for them and too aggressive to other dogs. They went to Sandy Sutton’s class Monday evening and before the class started, puppies were leaving from an earlier class and Webster went crazy trying to get to them and Wendell had to get on his knees to hold Webster. They can’t take him to the dog park (!) because he’s so aggressive to other dogs and must avoid other people and dogs when they walk the neighborhood. Meredith explained to me that one of the reasons Wendell wanted a dog is to be able to stop and talk to other people with dogs on their walks. It’s his socialization.
I’m waiting to hear from Sandy Sutton, but Webster needs a strong family who can tire him out and teach him not to be leash reactive.
January 9, 2019 at 12:22 pm in reply to: Private: Webster, fka George, 4-y-o, Training w Cindy Green #2194101/09/19: I spoke to Sandy Sutton and she knew this was coming. She said when Wendell & Meredith came to class Monday night they were in “panic” mode about Webster. She said one of her other people was playing with Webster and he was snapping and playing – NOT being aggressive – and Meredith got upset and was concerned that he was going to bite the woman. The woman was incredulous as was Sandy, but they stopped. She said Wendell isn’t strong enough to control Webster, but Webster is NOT aggressive; he’s just reactive to other dogs and needs to learn some self-control. He’s had no socialization and both Meredith and Wendell are now just almost afraid of him. We need to move him as soon as we can. Sandy reiterates that Webster is a great dog, just needs some training and a firm leader.
She also said that Wendell does need an Airedale, but an older, settled, gentle one.
