Subject: Re: Bella in NCThank you for the update. I was really concerned they might not be thorough in her future placement and might allow someone who shouldn’t have Bella take her. So glad she is going to be safe because I know Airedale Rescue thoroughly vets….you are all wonderful!

I’ve spoken to the woman, Renee, who has her mom’s 7-y-o Airedale, Bella, and she is going to submit a Relinquishment form. Bella is not in any danger and there’s no rush; it’s just not a good living arrangement with Renee’s 2 pit bulls and Rottweiler. Thank you, all, for getting this to ARG.Renee had consulted National’s site and we are not listed, as you know.
Thank you.

Hi Sidney and Dot….we no longer live in New Mexico, but remember how helpful you were in rescuing Airedales. We have tried to find a rescue group here to alert them to this sweet Dale, but our emails come back to us. We are hoping you might be able to forward this info to a rescue group in our area.Good morning,
The information below appeared on our Waterford, Leland, NC General Message Board. There are pictures of this Dale there as well…I am very concerned for the welfare of this senior Dale as she looks very sad…terrible hair cut too and a bit overweight. I would go get her, but we have a 10 year old Airedale who does not get along with any other female dogs. Just wanted to make you aware of this Dale. Info below.
Thanks,
Angie ErlerI am not the owner and am forwarding information on “Bella”, an Airedale Terrier looking for a new loving home. Located in Fayetteville, NC. You will need to TEXT the owner and she will respond. PLEASE DO NOT CALL. TEXT ONLY for the initial contact. Text RENEE 618.967.9434
Owner has new job that requires travel and can no longer care for the dog. Daughter RENEE is caring for Bella but already has two other dogs. The following information has been provided by Renee: Purebred female, 7 years old, house broken, neutered, shots up-to-date, no health issues, went thru training program with Extreme Canine. Social, likes dogs, cats and kids. Laid back, sweet and affectionate.

Lorie Taylor, Dayton, TN breeder has surrendered 3 Airedales to us over the years. Just in case.
09/26/19: Asked Linda for help with transport of Maddox: Chattanooga to Bham.
Hi Lynda,
I spoke with Jackie Cash and she has gone ahead and approved the gal that you were going to do a home visit for. She said that she’s adopted from us before so is good to go. I can’t thank you enough for being willing to help ARG. This is the tough part of this volunteer work…finding other “volunteers” to help us when we are geographically so spread out. I hope that should the need arise in the future that we can call on you? All that’s necessary is a love for ‘dales…and you have that!!
Have a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year! And thanks again so much.
Kindest regards,

09/25/19: Deacon has been at the vet. Exhibited pain yesterday and they took him in, thought it was foot or leg. X-rays negative. Did ultrasound today and it was normal. The internal med vet was examining when Doug went to pick him up and noticed that he winced when she moved his neck to one side. They gave him muscle relaxers and said see how he does. If he doesn’t improve they’ll send him to UT for MRI.

They will be back from Colorado today but Ken has a business trip and when he returns from that, they’re going to Albuquerque. I told them we’d find someone and we’ll let them know when we get a ‘dale for them.
September 21, 2019 at 4:35 pm in reply to: Private: Jazzy-Belle (fka Jezebel), 3-y-o Female, Fostering w Cindy Green #2366609/21/19 Phone call with Liz Hurley:
Liz Hurley posted a plea for help on FB to ARG because Red keeps trying to kill her dogs. My notes are below as I was talking to her. I wanted to scream! I’ve calmed down now, and have edited notes to tell the story. The first thing she said was “This has been going on since day 1!” We didn’t tell them that she was aggressive!
Red/Jazzy lives with her dad, who had an older Airedale Patty. Red would aggressively attack her. Patty was grumpy so she may have started some of the fights, but Red always attacked her. Kept them separated and once in a while, they’d forget the door and she would go after her. Patty died – I don’t know how long ago. (Liz talks NON-STOP!) Liz’s uncle passed away and her dad got his female spayed Brittany in about March or April. Red is the same way with this one and nearly killed the Brittany. Yesterday Liz was sitting on the couch with her dad and Red, and the Brittany was simply lying in her bed, hadn’t made a move, and all of a sudden, Red just jumped off the couch and attacked her. If her uncle hadn’t been there Red would’ve killed the Brittany, who doesn’t even fight back.
Red gets along with Liz’s dogs, a 12-y-o female lab and a lab pup about 1 year old. Red is fine with them. And Liz and her dad John love Red. So, now, in addition to Red, the aggressor, and Skeets, the omega Brittany, her dad got a 13-week-old Airedale puppy!!!! But this has been going on long before the puppy. They haven’t put the puppy with Red yet, they’ve just met at the fence. She thinks they’ll be fine.
You brought another dog in knowing that she is jealous of any dog around your dad!!!
Any time I could get a word in, I’d try to ask what they were doing to change this, have they talked to a trainer, what has worked? Early on they talked to the vet about it and he said maybe some anti-anxiety drugs. They gave her Benadryl but that didn’t work and the vet said to stop. Had her on an antidepressant but that didn’t seem to work so they stopped that.
I asked if she had talked to a trainer. No, because she didn’t know that training was anything more than sit, stay, heel. And Red can do all that and is great on leash, though they never take her out walking because they’re afraid she’ll attack other dogs. But she gets lots of exercise in the yard with Liz’s dogs. And they love her and don’t want to give her up.
I told her I would talk to you, Cindy, and see what you would recommend. But I told her to get a basket muzzle if the dogs were going to be together, or have her dad keep Red on a leash with him any time the other dogs were around, or keep her in a separate room.
Edited to redact my SCREAMS! What do you all recommend?
