Thanks so much – hoping this works out. Love to know they have rescued before with y’all.
Dash is crated when you are away from home. Is that because she and your golden-doodle will fight; or is it because she might chew or destroy things?
Afraid she will chew but we haven’t really tested that. She just enjoys her crate so that’s always been the easy thing to do with her.Dash sometimes gets car-sick. How often does she ride in the car and for how long/what distances? Does she get sick just riding for short distances?
She has a hard time settling down in the car. We haven’t tried long distances. Short car rides seem to be fine. Honestly we live on a mtn and curvy roads and it could be that makes her car sick. She just seems to be nauseous on the curvy roads. The farthest she’s been is around 45 minutes. She hasn’t thrown up lately in the car.
Dash has “run away” when off-leash. Do you think she would try to jump a 4-ft tall fence?
Not at all!! We have a fence and she’s never tried that. Please let me know if there is anything else they need!!

The couple who are interested are experienced Airedale owners who have adopted from us previously, but their last Airedale died last year.I look forward to hearing from you.

03/08/2020: Got a PM from traci last night that a friend of a friend came over to meet the two Airedales and fell in love with them and she let him have them and he’ll give them a good home.
Translates to:
She found someone who would pay her for them. They’re probably going to breed them! POS.03/08/2020: Cindy was very much interested in Clover but Clover requires another dog to be happy. So that won’t work. We have offered Dash to Cindy & Greg.

03/06/2020: Emailed Traci and begged for photos! It was 2 weeks from when she said we could have them before she sent the Relinquishment forms.
03/06/2020: Jeanne Monast will foster/adopt Leo. ARG will pay medical bills, not to include anything outside of routine vet care.

I understand his situation as I spent two years doing it until I insisted Mom move here!

But please have your friend send in an application and unless she says she cooks Airedales on the grill, we can probably approve her quickly. Gotta follow process. App, interview, vet check, home visit (you’ve already done that!), then match.

Dash was on Apoquel from November 2016 to April 2018. Did her itchiness/scratching go away? My Hawkeye was on Apoquel for quite a while also, but we switched to Cytopoint and that’s working well.
Her itchiness has subsided and she hasn’t been on Apoquel for almost 1.5 years
Has the lump on her knee/leg changed since November?
No
Does she ever limp or show lameness since August of 2019? Has she been on Deramax since then?
No incidence of lameness since then
Thank you so much. Y’all are making this process so much easier for us.

Dash was treated with Apoquel from the time she was 5 months old, until 2 years old. 11-25-16 to 04-12-18. Find out what changed. At age 5 mos, seen at vet for limp/lame; again at 6 mos.
Dental cleaning 01-25-19; stick found stuck btw 2 teeth (Owners had noted face twitch)
11-25-19 Lump noted on craniomedial left stifle 2-3 mm, purple; not super concerning, though color is concerning. Owner opted to simply monitor rather than bx, cryo.
Vet recommended they take her off grain-free food.
Alkaline phosphatase off the charts low. 13 (normal 23-212)On Deramax from 12-19-16-owner says limping 3-4 weeks (vet says leg looks strange, shoulder pain), 01-02-17 (vet suspects HOD-hypertrophic osteodystrophy), 08-27-19
Spayed 07-27-17

03/03/2020: I have offered Clover to Ian & Lauren Schneider. They wonder if she would work with their female Petra – a mastiff or mastiff mix – who is pretty dominant. I’ve sent them her photos and summary of what the owners have told me about her.
