08-13-2020 Melissa and Jeramiah reported last night that Grace is making progress. She is much better in the house now but still reacts to loud noises or sudden movements. On walks, she is still afraid of objects but will move from one side to the other to avoid them. She LOVES going to the dog park and they’ve been 12 times. She also LOVES hikes in the woods and is very comfortable there.
They still want to engage a trainer and have contacted one I recommended who will charge $250 for a 2-hr consult and then free followup consults. If they want to have one-on-one training there is a reduced hourly rate.
They will send me the info.

Finally, she had bloody discharge from her nose and they took her to the ER where they gave her a plasma infusion, which helped only briefly. They chose not to put her through more.
They have not had good luck with dogs. They had Macy only about 1-1/2 years and now Drizele only 1 year.
08-12-2020: From Barbara:
She was 8 years old. Regular Vet sent samples off to Texas but needed Emergency Vet because she was bleeding all over the place and I didn’t want to wait for treatment til Monday. She was on antibiotics from reg. Vet and then that got changed when her nose started dripping by different Vet at that clinic. I got anxious with all the bleeding. Took her to Emergency place. They did they’re own tests. Even the tests back from Texas were not clear. Just that her clotting factors were terrible. They checked but I was sure she had not been around rat poison. DIC (disseminated ——- coagulation) was the diagnosis but no cause. Just sad.August 12, 2020 at 8:03 pm in reply to: Drizele (fka Grizele), 7-1/2 yo F/S, Adopted by Barbara Calhoon #25362She was 8 years old. Subject: Airedale Rescue ApplicationDear Johnita:
Loosing a beloved Airedale is always difficult. It is never easy to see our dogs leave us.
Airedale Rescue Group would like to thank you for your interest in and love of Airedales. There are times when Airedale Rescue Group makes very difficult decisions, and this is one of those times. While we are sure you gave Charlie the very best possible home, our past experience causes us to decline your application for an Airedale from our group.
We wish you well in your search for an addition to your family. We are just unable to help at this time.
Respectfully,
Airedale Rescue Group

He would be happy to help if something comes along too and drove two days to pick up Jayne.Jackie Cash | 901-438-5782

Good morning, Susan. We received your emails about adopting an Airedale. We do not have any Airedales who would be happy to be sequestered in a laundry room 9 hours a day even with a break at lunch.
