Peggy turned down Clyde because he wasn’t house-broken and not independent enough. Very disappointed.
05-27-14:Peggy contacted me about Stella or the 15-mo-old boy. Stella will not work because of Peggy’s chihuahua and I told her I didn’t know yet about the boy.

05-23-14 Had a nice conversation with Elisha. She is realistic in her expectations of an Airedale. She has a 7-y-o WFT who is very smart and very stubborn, so she expects to encounter the same kind of personality in an Airedale. I confirmed that but cautioned that the Airedale is going to be physically much stronger and more belligerent. Her boys have been around big dogs, as most of their family and friends have larger dogs, and they want a larger dog. They are an active family and are outside as much as possible with the boys and Sadie. Sadie goes outside in the morning while they are getting the boys ready for school and Elisha takes her on a walk or sometimes runs with her. Sadie gets a longer walk at night. I told her an Airedale needs 30-45 minutes twice a day at least. Talked to her about using a crate; they used one to train Sadie and she was easily trained. They would use one again if necessary. I told them that the Airedale needs strong, consistent training and enjoys training. Sadie gets along with every dog she meets. They are looking for a youngster so her sons can grow up with it.
Need HV near Charlotte.

May 23, 2014 at 2:40 pm in reply to: Private: Randy & Vanessa Lowe, Greensboro, GA 30642 770-733-6358 #1436105-23-14 From Pamalia Culvern:
My home visit with the Lowe’s went incredibly well. I left smiling about the lucky Airedale who ends up there. They are a dynamic young and active family. Their home is surrounded by gorgeous hardwood trees, the lake and friendly neighbors.
Their daughter, Audrina, is a four year old little doll with a HUGE personality. She was waiting at the front door for me, waving, when I arrived. I loved the fact that Vanessa is a stay at home Mom and will be the primary caregiver for their new dale. They plan for their dale baby to be an inside dog, having full reign of the house when they know he/she is trained. They love hiking and kayaking and will be taking daily walks in their secluded and wooded neighborhood. I liked the fact that their home is not near a major highway but sets way back down a dirt road until you get to the gated community which is paved.
I think it’s a bonus that both Randy and Vanessa have had large dogs before…labs and a husky I believe. They absolutely adore their friend’s dale, which steered their thinking toward owning an Airedale of their own one day. They are big Lake folks and have 2 boats. They fish off their dock and have lots of privacy where their home is located right now.
They have two different Veternarians in mind to take care of their new one when the day arrives. I advised them to get a name tag with their info on there as well as introduce their future dale to all the neighbors. They are very excited about this time in their lives and feel the timing is perfect to add a hairy baby.
After observing them with their daughter, they have definite set rules in the home….ie…only eating at the table, putting things back where they belong…not disrupting the adults as we were getting the interview in full swing. With Vanessa being a stay at home Mom, she seems to have a nice lil routine worked out with the running of her home. I think an older dale would respect the rules and get along famously. Hopefully one that’s GREAT with kids andLOVES water.
They are just thrilled at getting on with the process, but told me they’d be patient because they really want the right dog for them AND him/her. If something untoward happened, they had no problem giving the dog back and trying again, although they are hoping they end up with the first dog they get. They even have a name picked out, ‘Jestor’….and I may not be spelling it exactly right.
This family is precious and seem overwhelmingly ready to love an Airedale. If it’s okay, I sure would like to follow up and see who they end up with. I think a dale is gonna complete this sweet lil family perfectly. Blessings!

Hi Again….Just sent you my notes from the Home Visit. Satchel has passed home and we miss him everyday. He passed very unexpectantly on the OR table while having a cancerous mass removed about a year ago. I would DEF let Satchel live with the Lowes…and I’m very overprotective. I did this whole ‘Home Visit’ in his honor. The family is outstanding and will hopefully soon be the very PROUD owners of a very blessed Dale. Blessingz!
