Most vets and microchip companies insist on an owner name before the chip can be registered. I register to Barbara Yager, Airedale Rescue Group, with Bay’s address and phone. Use my name or Christina’s name as secondary.
Also probably good idea to get flu vaccine at vet’s.
06/18/17: Asked Molly if she would go get Fannie in McMinnville.
09/15/17 See post on Frannie (not Fannie). Molly has fostered her for 2-1/2 months and is willing to let her be adopted so that Molly is free to foster.
05/30/17:Molly, we consider her yours and know that you will always make certain that Maki is being cared for lovingly. He is a lucky boy. If his sabbatical with your daughter works out best for you and Zona and Maki, then we are happy.
Keep in mind that he’ll have to be neutered at about 13 months, so you remind me if I forget to remind you.
Take care.

I was not concerned because I knew she would bring him back the next weekend when she realized what a handful he can be. Well that has not happened. Wesley and her boyfriend are head over heals in love with him. They love taking him for walks all over Chattanooga. The have a dog park near by but want to find a different one since that one is mostly mud. Maki has such a wonderful can do attitude and loves exploring the different sights and sounds around him.

Questions or Comments
If you have any questions or comments for us please tell us here. We know that it is very difficult to find a spare dale that is cat friendly. We will be patient and wait for the right dog. However, if no dog should become available, we would appreciate a listing of breeders in our area that might have a puppy that does not conform to show standards or an older dog that has been relinquished. We are now mourning the loss of our Happy and are trying to adjust to a dog- less home. Please consider our application.
Thank you
Edwin and Anita Loeser

03/29/17: Offered Bennett to her for fostering.
03/17/17: Hi, Thanks for reaching out about the senior ADT kids. We can’t foster right now but could maybe do emergency respite, if needed. I would however like to send you a donation for these 2 – where to and to whom? Thanks for taking in these two – best, Beate
I thanked her for her response and her offer of a donation and gave her info to be able to donate.
03/15/17: Emailed Beate to see if she would foster either Gus or the female dale we’re getting March 16.
03/15/17: The Grobusky’s adopted an Airedale pup from the Concord NC shelter in Feb. They are not in the market right now.
February 19, 2017 at 9:00 pm in reply to: Private: James Huron, former adopter, Huntsville, AL (2023) #1196902/19/17: After talking to James Huron, I don’t think their home would be a good foster home for Marley. She needs a place to recuperate from spay and their two dales are very active and run in and out of the house via the dog door all day. They have one side of their fence that is just 4 ft and Marley could jump that. The Huron’s dogs don’t jump bc there is also an electronic fence inside that but Marley isn’t trained to an e-fence. They said they could board her but I don’t want her boarded after the spay.
February 19, 2017 at 7:50 pm in reply to: Private: James Huron, former adopter, Huntsville, AL (2023) #11968Jackie,
Good morning!
Read your note on Marley. She sounds like a sweetheart.
We have two ARG alumni Martha, age 7, 60 pounds, pack leader, and Henry, age 4, at 90 pounds. Both are very active. Martha is very protective and guards us and our home very agressively.
We have a fenced back yard and doggie door. We have agmented the fence with an invisible fence. We have an extra collar for the invisable fence. Both Martha and Henry are trained on the invisable fence.
My concern is we only have a 4ft tall metal decorative fence on the side facing a sidewalk and street. We have neighbors walking their small toy size dogs and larger dogs along the fence and sidewalk on a daily basis. Martha and Henry go outside and run the length of the fenceline barking at the dogs. Can Marley jump a 4ft fence?
Additionally, we both work during the day and have busy schedules this week.
We could have Marley at doggie daycare at Flint River Animal Hospital during the day with our vet and have her at our home in the evevings/overnight or board her as options until ARG finds the right foster or adoptive family. I did that before with another ARG rescue, Sam, for a short period until ARG could place him. Flint River is excellent facility and we have a great relationship with Dr. Lowe and his staff.
My bottom line is let’s get Marley into a safe loving environment asap and I am willing to help ARG reach that goal.
I can call you to discuss.
V/r – James

Subject: Airedale in Huntsville
Hi, James & Tamara. Hope you all are doing well. Thanks for taking part in our ARG Valentine Auction!
We may need some help this week with an Airedale in foster care in Huntsville. Problem is she is with a woman who does Chihuahua rescue and the Airedale thinks her Chihuahuas are rats and wants to eat them. She got her after she failed at another home, where she jumped a fence to go after a Jack Russell Terrier.
Other than not liking small dogs (we can infer she feels the same about cats), she is a sweetheart and gets along great with the woman’s Australian Shepherd. She’s a big girl, 80 lbs, and not overweight. She knows sit and stay and listens pretty well. She’s housebroken and loves people and is good with the foster mom’s grandchildren, ages 7 and 9.
Her name is Marley and she is scheduled to be spayed on Monday and will be available after that. The foster mom needs her gone as soon as we can find someone. At 2 years old, we feel certain we can place her as soon as next Saturday.
But in the meantime, would you be able to foster her? I don’t know what animals you currently have. Any help would be appreciated. Let me know if you might consider helping us with her. I can try to get more info for you.
