October 31, 2018 at 3:02 pm in reply to: Private: Paul Gary Lee, Lake Hartwell, SC (SC/GA border) #2027810/31/18:
Good morning, Jackie,I will reach out to Katie as soon as I finish a conference call and coordinate his retrieval.
We have plenty of all size crates from my days with Doberman rescue. I’ll make an appointment with my vet to have him checked as soon as she can get me in there and we will check dental.
We will give him a few days and I will start introducing him to the world and assess his temperament and behavior. I will let you know when I pick him up and give you updates. If we run into any snags I will let you know.
We are excited and I will be in touch later today.

Katie Corbett | Rescue Coordinator
LifeLine Animal Project | DeKalb County Animal Services3280 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd. | Chamblee, GA 30341

DeKalbAnimalServices.comI’ve spoken to her and Charlie Brown will be ready for you to pick him up after 3:00 today. He will have had all his shots and been neutered today, so he’ll probably have a cone. Do you have a crate? You may need to get one – ARG can reimburse you – because we don’t know how he’ll be with Ellie Mae or vice versa (?).
As soon as you can, please make an appointment with your vet to have him checked out. ARG will, of course, pay for that. We know that he’s very skinny, so he’ll need to lots of good food. We also know that his teeth have a lot of tartar, so have the vet check them as well. We probably won’t do the cleaning right away, but need to see what the vet recommends.
He may need a bath pretty soon, but having just been neutered, it will have to wait a bit. (I don’t know if his stitches will need to be taken out. They’ll tell you about any follow up at the shelter.)
As soon as he is feeling good and comfortable and reveals his personality to you, we’ll be able to determine a suitable home for him. We have lots of approved adopters, but some with specific requirements – you know how that is – must get along with small children, small dogs, cats, live in an apartment, etc. We’ll depend on your insights and opinions.
Of course, as the foster parent, you get to decide to keep him if you want to.
Let me know if you have any questions and please call me when you get him. I can’t wait!
Jackie

Notified the vet’s office and paid for Scruffy: $1302 and change. They gave us a 25% discount on just about everything!
Jena texted a photo of him at the vet’s still. Cone off. He looks sleepy. She said he’s skinny.
