11/07/18: LVM for Pat re Loretta in Aiken County Shelter to foster/adopt.
November 6, 2018 at 1:41 pm in reply to: Private: Jackson Burnside (fka Charlie Brown), ~1-2 yrs, fostering with Gary Lee #2032911/05/18 From Gary:
He is so small. I am cautious about rubbing him since he is all bone and it has to be uncomfortable. We love on that big head! Lol. Ellie is in full coat, so a lot of fur, and she makes four of him. His eyes are okay it is the camera (I’ve never learned to use it properly.) I cried actually after the shave down and new I would because I was going to see every line. He does shift his weight to compensate and those legs seem a little atrophied but as long as he plays with Ellie I will try to keep him active. He tires easily and limps more when tired. One day at a time. You cannot offend me (lol). I used and continue to use much harsher expletives to describe them. I would love to be in a locked in a room with them for about 30 minutes. Just me and them.
I picked up supplements , chondroitin and glucosamine, and wild salmon oil for him. Adding that to his food and now he has some pain meds and antibiotics. Still a good appetite and still playing like a boss. Extremely mouthy and nippy, especially if he thinks he isn’t getting my attention he will just grab my jeans, leg, fingers,or whatever to get my attention. It is going to take some time with this one but he is going to be fine and incredible when this is in the past.
We are happy you reached out to us! I will let you know when Blue Pearl sets the appointment.
I’ll update you later on how we are doing.

OMG, he’s so skinny, boney. That face is so gaunt. Are his eyes ok? Is that just the camera effect? You can see how he bends his back and his knees to keep weight off them. I would like to find the assholes who did this to him. This breaks my heart. (Hope I haven’t offended you, Gary, I toned it down.) let me know when you get the appointment with Blue Pearl.
Thank you, Gary, for opening your heart to this boy.

Here is the little deer/dear! I was going to post these on the facebook page but wanted to send them to you. I know he looks so bad but he has gained a pound in a few days. It pisses me off and breaks my heart that he was allowed to get in this shape.
Anyway, wanted to share and I have a few others but I have to download them from my camera.Jackson, Ellie, & Gary
11/05/18: I emailed Carlie to see if they could foster a dog in NC. She said she’s recently relocated to CA and cannot take on a foster!
11/04/18: From Tracy:
Hello,Thank you for checking in. We actually got a pup from a breeder, but unfortunately he contracted Parvo very shortly after we got him and we lost him 🙁 The same breeder has offered us another one in the future. We will likely take him up on that offer since we already paid for the first one it and he doesn’t give refunds. If anything changes, we’ll I’ll circle back to you.

November 3, 2018 at 5:01 pm in reply to: Private: Kira – 9-y-o Female, Cumming, GA (FOR FOSTERING) #2031609/28/18: Sherry Beebe called to let me know that Kira had to be euthanized. I sent message to Kim Shabman:
Morning, Kim. I have sad news. Kira went to the Rainbow Bridge yesterday at 6:00 pm. Sherry called me to let me know. She had gone down a lot in the last year, losing her vision, and unable to get up easily. She was recently diagnosed with kidney failure. The vet said if she were a person, she’d be on the transplant list. She was sleeping all day but would still eat ok. They made the appointment yesterday for late afternoon. They loved her dearly and said she brought such joy to their lives these last few years. I’m so sorry, Kim, but knew you would want to know.November 3, 2018 at 4:27 pm in reply to: Private: Yana & Doug Whitman, ASHEVILLE 10 10 19 expressed interest in ADT have goldendoodle #2031411/03/18: No longer interested in adopting.
