20% discount11/12/18: JMC called Oak Ridge Kennels 704-289-5828 and authorized them to board George for 1 week. It’s $34 per day, no rescue discount. He’s in an inside/outside kennel.

11/11/18: Kristina has sent me several photos and reports on Leo. He and Ralph are best friends and she and her boys love him! He looks great and is learning every day.
11/09-10/18: George has been placed with Nancy & Craig Chalmers. He and their Labrador Bella are great friends already.
11/11/18: Alyssa Adams is fostering Rafiki. She picked him up in Onslow County on Friday, Nov. 9. She reported on 11/10/18 that he and her Murphy are fine!

Hi Jackie,We did finally decide on a name – we are calling her Biscuit She’s such a little cutie and a devil dog Airedale puppy of course. She wants to eat everything! But she is easily redirected. We’ve started to introduce her to a crate and are working on leash and puppy manners.
She and Sorley really seem to like one another. They enjoy playing together quite a bit, and they like to roughhouse. A puppy so full of energy makes Sorley look like a couch potato though. Lol
One side note, just after her visit to the vet we noticed that she was licking her groin area a little too much. We took her back to get it checked and it turns out she has some irritation/infection where here incision was from being spayed. She is on antibiotics now and we’re monitoring her so all should be well.
We’re all really enjoying Biscuit’s company and we’re so glad to have her!
11/09/18: Had a nice conversation with Ellen and lost my notes! She is divorced – no more Bob – and is semi-retired. Works a few hours a week so she is rarely gone long periods of time. Bear just died and it is still very painful. She adopted him in 2010 from us; he was about 1-1/2 when she adopted.. She still has Annie, who is 13, partially blind, partially deaf, but still gets around and likes her walks. She also has a little black and tan hound who is a firecracker. She now has a fenced backyard and still has a 500 sf fenced deck.
She goes to a new vet – a Dr. Hampton at Ash Animal Clinic.
She is not in a hurry for another Airedale and wants us to keep her in mind. She has a trip planned after Thanksgiving, so not urgent.
11/09/18: Good morning, Ellen. Christina sent me a text that you are interested in adopting again. She is unable (for some strange reason!) to send out emails today, so I told her I would contact you. I found your old application from 2008. Is that when you adopted Bear? I am so sorry to hear that you had to say goodbye to him on Sunday. It is so hard to lose one of our precious pups. They take so much of our hearts with them.
I would like to talk to you so I can bring our records up to date. I tried to call a few minutes ago: 336-982-4966. Is that still your number? If not, please send me your number and let me know a good time to talk and we’ll get the process going for you and Bob.
It’s so nice to have wonderful adopters return to us.

11/07/18: Bobbi Biehl sent me a FB message asking about the two boys from Atlanta and wanted to know if they were available. When I explained that one was already adopted and the other is being fostered and may be kept by the foster, she asked me to let her know because she would “take” one of them.
I wrote her back and told her that I had tried to call her and sent her emails when she applied a year ago and that I never got a response and that we must have a telephone interview, home visit, etc before she can be considered to adopt.
